He's being extra helpful today puss. It just shows how bored he is of feeling rubbish.
He's hoovered, unpacked his bag properly (I took the washing out on Wednesday), cooked lunch and delivered it to my desk.

I'm grateful, my work day is a bit nuts 🥱

Bedtime now. Finally!

DD is going to have pizza for lunch tomorrow as it's a friend's birthday. She's not doing laser quest first, however, as it's not her thing.

DS may or may not go to his grandparents' house. Time will tell! I shall go to the allotment and get my parsnip seeds into the ground, now it's warmer. I shall also put some peas and broad beans in. No doubt the rabbits will have them though. 🙄

I've got mountains of washing to fold today and dd has her second Covid vaccine later. Tonight we're out for dinner for my dads birthday but it's not until 7 which is really late for the dc to eat.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/04/2022 08:15

We couldn't wait that long for the kids to eat. DS is really bad for being hangry; it affects his meltdowns etc.

We had the letters inviting the kids for Covid jabs. I binned them! I don't think the benefits are the same at that age in the same way as for me. If they were your DD's age I'd let them choose.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 23/04/2022 08:19

Yeah my parents usually eat at 9 so I think this was their compromise... I'll give them some toast at 5. Ds doesn't want the vaccine at the moment but I might try and persuade him more come winter depending on what's happening, partly to protect me Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 23/04/2022 08:27

I'm not even asking the kids if they want it! I doubt they'd willingly have an injection in any event.

I couldn't eat at 9. I would also be hangry! 🤣🤣

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 23/04/2022 08:30

I'd be in bed Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 23/04/2022 16:35

PSA: don't try to sow parsnip seeds in windy weather, as they blow all over the bloody shop! 🙈🤣

I got my broad beans in the ground too. I also saw a bunny rabbit. 🐇🙄

Ha! It's like Don't use that spray on/wipe off car cleanser stuff in windy weather 'cos it basically just lands on you Xmas Shock

No cute rabbits round here , I reckon the foxes would have them .( and I reckon their level of cuteness decreases as the rate of them eating your allotment increases ! )

Going to get more compost for my new plants that are languishimg bored in the mini greenhouse .
Doing washing (never ends) but doing my/DH holiday clothes <excited>

My DS couldn't wait to have his Covid , as soon as they released the rollout for his agegroup he was whittering about booking it .
DD does not do needles (understatement) but she managed to get the same date as DS and gritted her teeth.

WreckTangled · 23/04/2022 16:46

Dd didn't even flinch, it was so quick. Ds watched and said no way is he having it. He doesn't cope well with pain though (we've had tears most nights for the past week as he has an ulcer) it's strange as he used to be fine and and would never cry if he fell etc.

It's windy here too, nice and warm when it stops though

NoWordForFluffy · 23/04/2022 16:58

Yes. I got wet using the hosepipe too. We need some bloody rain round here! 🏜 🌵 🐪

They've had the tops off all of my bloody onions. I'm hoping they don't get my broad beans too. I don't think they ate them last year, but they were too big bigger when they went in the ground.

Morning!

Everyone else is asleep here! Wish I was; I'm tired. I got sucked into watching a few minutes of snooker last night when I should've been going to bed. It was still late, but that made me later still!

No plans beyond housework today. Exciting times!

WreckTangled · 24/04/2022 08:08

I didn't sleep well either. Dh didn't so he's back to sleep but I'm getting ready for my spa day. Ds was up early but dd is asleep. We didn't get home until 10, the dc were really well behaved and ate all their food. I'm still crying from the price

pussycatlickinglollyices · 24/04/2022 08:36

We went to bed just after 10, and I was still away at midnight...I gave up at 4, so crept downstairs and fed the cats...they were very happy to see me 😻
It's lovely today, beautiful blue skies...I made the mistake of watching the BBC long range forecast. Next weekend things are going to go cooler and more "unsettled" with snow on v high ground.
I'm now worried about my spuds...🤞

NoWordForFluffy · 24/04/2022 09:01

Did you have to pay? Did you choose the restaurant?

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 24/04/2022 09:02

Your spuds will be fine, Puss, as long as you cover any leafy growth before it gets cold.

I just want some rain really though.

Our loft starlings have chicks. 😍😍 We can hear them shouting for food! We're putting extra out.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 24/04/2022 09:24

We get loads of fledglings. They're nuts. They demand food off anyone/anything, sparrow, plant pot, pigeon, Mum...Grin I love them, they're a riot of noise. They splash about in our conservatory gutter like it's a toddler pool at Rhyl Sun Centre!

For our share and no.

Ah. Sounds like your finances weren't taken into account then! Not cool.

Tomorrow is the 4th Rudolph Day of the year (and no , I haven't made any sort of Christmas Planning ) , I've been idly watching QVC on/off , they have a 4 EasyPay Day ( 4 interest free instalments) so if I see something (maybe jewellry) for DD or me , then I just might to put away for Christmas .

I am still resisting the soup maker , when I fancy buying one I think "No , 70 you know that soup is a labour of love and cannot be rustled up in 30 minures"
Xmas Wink

pussycatlickinglollyices · 24/04/2022 20:33

70 I like heinz "big" soup chunky veg even if it does have some sweetcorn 🌽🤢 and yes, I know MN don't tolerate people who eats soup from a tin, but occasionally I have a Pot Noodle and pick the sweetcorn out of that too 😂

TheWoollybacksWife · 24/04/2022 20:33

You say that 70 but they are great.

I resisted the lure of the soup maker even when I was given one as a gift until I actually used it. Now it's in use at least twice a week.

I broke up a fight between a magpie and a blackbird this week 💪 The magpie was squawking away and attacking the blackbird on my patio. Mrs blackbird was about a foot away twittering and a blue tit was dive bombing the magpie. I opened the patio door and the magpie flew off. I assume it was some sort of territorial dispute.

WreckTangled · 24/04/2022 20:37

I'm so tired. Had the best spa day.

Back to school tomorrow. Ds has a school trip and I'm going too, spending the day in London with my friend before watching the school children later in the day. Can't wait for Tuesday when I can have a day off of doing anything 🥱

Morning!

It seems nice here today. The long range forecast on the BBC has no rain forecast for 2 weeks. Not good news for little plants going into the allotment. I'll have to visit in the evenings to water them while they're getting established. At least it's not too hot though, so could be worse!

I do get anxious when away from my house and it’s immediate area so definitely need to work on it crazy. So excited for Italy. We plan to go on the train through the alps and break the journey up in interesting places.

Feels like it hasn’t rained in forever and none predicted anytime soon. Will be having to do a lot of watering like you fluffy

No idea why that is underlined!

inset day today. Will miss my shadow but looking forward to getting the house and garden organised again and restarting on the redecorating.

picnic with friends today :)
