Birds here aren't too bad , but I don't feed them and my 2 cats would keep them at bay.
My car otoh got bombarded at work, I was parked near a tree , just glad a branch didn't fall on it yesterday !

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 08/04/2022 18:14

fluffy the sultanas obviously aren't working properly...💩 ours line up bombing runs - or, like a woody yesterday, headbutt crash into the back bedroom windows. 🤕💊
Sorry Constantly but it didn't rain here, so I have a maid full of crispy dry washing in the conservatory that could have had a proper blow. 🤷‍♀️

NoWordForFluffy · 08/04/2022 20:37

I think it's that they tend to fly in from a different direction to where the washing is! Or they're just very grateful. 🤣🤣

I've just been round so many shops...Tesco, to spend a voucher, buying booze to take to Scotland; Argos to pick up a present for Christmas; Asda, for more booze for Scotland (better price than Tesco); Sainsbury's, for food top-up; Shell, for diesel almost fainted at the 171.9p price; then back to Tesco to get a refund as my Clubcard discount hadn't been applied to the vodka!

No rain here either. Our washing dried nicely outside. 😁

We've just had some pretty big hail stones.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/04/2022 07:40

260

Loaf of bread baked overnight
Load of washing on to go out ( dry but ground frost )
Usual Saturday plan of a trip to supermarket , DH and DS go to the gym then DS meets me to do the last bits (and it stops the Mum when are you going shopping , can you buy xyz ............. "You should've asked when I was doing the List and asked everyone what you wanr )

Then I think some garden tidy up before the Easter weekend .

CrazyBaubles · 09/04/2022 07:49

Morning 🥱 Very early and tired start to the day here thanks to my lovely niece who had her first sleepover with me last night.
She was out like a light by 8 but fidgeted all nice, woke up at 2am (needed a wee) then was up for the day at just before 6.
I'm going to need a nap later!

I've booked us tickets for the kids club cinema thing this morning at 10. Will put her to work in the garden for a bit after before taking her home around lunchtime.

Also going to do a load of washing because it's meant to be dry today 🤞🏼

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2022 07:58

Morning!

It's meant to be nice here too. With a stiff WNW breeze. Washing to be done here too!

Haircuts this morning for us. Then I'll have to go to feed the allotment birdies. I may dig my potato trenches, as it's not warm enough to put my parsnip seeds in yet. They're fussy and won't like this cold snap!

I did garden tidying last weekend as it was green bin day on Monday just gone. Still a bit more to do though. I might sow some more peas as well, as the first lot are coming on nicely now. Though the allotment ones didn't germinate as well as the ones for home.

We go away for a night tomorrow. Then back for two and away for three. We're trying to work out our washing schedule! Exciting, eh?! 🤣🤣

It's lovely and sunny here but also very still.

What are you seeing crazy?

I've got housework, washing and uni work to do today. Then I'm going out for dinner tonight with work to a Turkish place.

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 09/04/2022 08:40

Morning all. Bad nights sleep here but beautiful morning. Thinking of heading to Powis Castle later. SIL is visiting which is lovely.

Sounds like everyone has lovely plans :)

5 days until reversal!

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2022 10:09

How long does it take to know if the reversal has been successful, Hopeful? Good luck!

We're going to go to Shugborough tomorrow on our way south. It's a good lunch stop as the kids get a run about.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2022 11:36

Bloody hell. The hail just hit as I was at the allotment talking to somebody! I'm hiding in a polytunnel right now! 🤣

Oh we've got warm sunshine here!

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2022 12:43

We have now. It was freezing, the hail came, now it's lovely! 🤷‍♀️

CrazyBaubles · 09/04/2022 13:42

Wreck we saw Rabbit Academy. Was complete nonsense but niece thought it was amazing (she's almost 4).

Turkish restaurant sounds nice. There's nothing like that around here to sit down in - all pub grub and curry places. Everything else is takeaway.

Fingers crossed for you reversal!

Fluffy that was our weather yesterday - grey, then sunny then hail followed by more sun!

We're back from cinema and park. I've potted one plant but niece is making it difficult so will wait until tomorrow when she's not here.
Having a late lunch then going to take her home I think (although she isn't in a rush to go anywhere and has already ask if she can sleep here tonight).

WreckTangled · 09/04/2022 14:10

It's in the city so a good forty minutes drive from here but it's really nice and expensive

I've just renewed dds passport didn't realise it expired this month

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2022 15:20

I dug over the part of the allotment where the potatoes are going to go today. I shall dig the trenches when I go next.

I was watching the birdies use the bird tables for a bit while I was there. I do love to watch them!

I didn't renew the kids' passports when they expired. We weren't planning on going anywhere at the time. Still aren't. Might do them later in the year when it won't be clogged with people trying to get passports for summer holidays!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 09/04/2022 15:59

We're not planning on going anywhere but I live in hope Grin I wouldn't want to find a bargain and not be able to go because her passports out of date

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2022 16:12

True! I'm not even looking for a bargain (do bargains even exist any more?!).

FireflyGirl · 09/04/2022 18:44

Mine and DSs passports both expire this year.

We might be visiting DFIL later in the year, so should probably arrange new ones and order one for DD.

I need to order a new driving license as well, as that expires later this month!

I spent an hour and a half at the allotment this afternoon, just pulling up thistles. Hate the bloody things 🙄

Our last frost is the end of next month, so no point planting anything out yet. Except maybe the spuds, although they still haven't sprouted!

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 09/04/2022 19:34

My passport and driving license expire later this year too happy 10th WA, here's some paperwork and a fee for you to pay to prove you're you 🤦‍♀️
Powis Castle is well worth a visit. The gardens are beautiful.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2022 20:12

I didn't do my passport when I got married, it was a couple of years later. My driving licence must be this year though, if it's 10 years from that update. They do write to you, I think.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 10/04/2022 07:32

259 morning. I'm so tired. I got home at 11:30 and woke up before 7, not enough sleep for me!

I didn't change my name when I got married and I have to renew my driving licence every three years. They're supposed to write to me each time but one year they didn't and it ended up expiring without me realising.

Fluffy I might be wrong but I think it's worth doing your passport first then they can just use that for your driving licence photo and then it makes the whole process easier? I might be remembering wrong though.

Another lovely sunny day here ds has football and I have more housework and the uni work I never did yesterday.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/04/2022 07:57

My licence has my passport photo on it, from the time before when I renewed it. It's a bloody awful photo!

How come you have to renew your licence every 3 years? That's a pain!

I've only just woken up! Must've needed the sleep. We need to get up to travel south though!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 10/04/2022 08:09

It's medically restricted Grin because I'm diabetic, yes it's a complete pain especially when they take so long to renew it and I can't claim my mileage when it's out of date (even though you can still drive when it's being renewed).

NoWordForFluffy · 10/04/2022 08:32

I'd actually probably remember every 3 years as I always know when my smear test is due. 10 years is harder! Just checked my licence; it's March 2023. My passport is December 2024. I know that as I did it with the kids when DS was a baby.
