fluffy yes - they're the ones. We got a mahoosive 10kg box of them and they're going rapidly!

We've only got one pied wagtail - I think he got a bit lost in the wind (Arwen?) but he seems ok on his own. The collared doves are getting a bit amorous 😻 I think it's a bit cold for that at the mo!

Morning!

We went out for beer yesterday. I was rather squiffy and managed to fall over walking home, putting a hole in my favourite leggings. It's very upsetting. 😭 My knee also hurts.

I'd have got a box if they had them, Puss. You can check stock on the website and barely anywhere near here has them. Odd! These weren't too bad a price though.

I heard pigeons getting frisky on my way home from the allotment last week. So much flapping going on! 🙈🤣

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 06/03/2022 12:50

fluffy the blackbirds are becoming more territorial too. I've never fallen over when pissed, I tend to go a bit loud then quickly fall asleep in a corner.🍻 How's the knee now? keep moving, don't let it stiffen Wink
We bought the box from a newly opened b&m near us (there's 4 within about 6 miles) so maybe they had extra stock.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/03/2022 13:09

I fell asleep once I got home. Didn't eat my dinner or anything! 🤣 Perked up for an hour when the kids were brought home...then went to sleep when I took DS to bed!

The knee is OK. I've been shovelling another pile of 💩💩 at the allotment. Though I didn't have much left to do, so did that and came home, after also feeding the birds! A small furry creature (mouse or vole) had eaten through the lid of the - fat ball - tub I was using to store the food. It had eaten some sunflower hearts and suet pellets! Thankfully I have some industrial tubs I could use, so have transferred to one of those.

I'm going to make a lemon drizzle cake in a bit, as DH got some reduced lemons which need using. 🍋 🍋

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/03/2022 13:16

Ooouch for the knee and for the leggings .

I've just planted some seeds into trays then put into the mini greenhouse , my hands are freezing but unlike Nigel Slater I;m not in the mood to rustle things up in the kitchen so I;m drinking coffee .
Dinner will be when I've thawed .

I did hang a coconut out for the birds once , little ratbags just ignored it till it went manky and I threw it out .

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 06/03/2022 14:57

fluffy you lightweight Wink I might bolster the seed with some sunflower hearts, I think they'd go quickly! The Woodys and blackbirds have been posturing all day - much too soon/cold for that sort of thing.
70 if there is one thing on this planet that should be banned it's coconut! If you need water, buy water, if you need milk, buy milk, but for the love of allllll things non barfy, don't buy anything with coconut in.🤢
Coconut and polyester should be banned.
Shock

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 06/03/2022 15:00

eaten through the lid of the - fat ball - tub

DH commented "he's keen" or bloody hungry

NoWordForFluffy · 06/03/2022 15:31

Yeah, it feels slightly cruel to deprive him of food, but I can't have a family of furries eating my bird seed! There's some on the ground he can share for now!

Sunflower hearts go very quickly here. They love them.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/03/2022 16:11

Errmm if it's eaten through a plastic lid , could it be a rat ?
In which case deprive deprive deprive

puss I'm with you on the coconut milk in coffee but creamed coconut makes a very acceptable cream substitute if you drain it , chill and whisk .

NoWordForFluffy · 06/03/2022 16:16

No, definitely a vole (he's sometimes in the bucket in the shed when I go into it, and I saw him roaming today too). The hole was too small for a rat as well.

I haven't seen Dave the Rat in a while...big bastard, he was!

My plot isn't the most-favoured by rats, thankfully. Though the bloody rabbits are back, digging under the other shed again!

WreckTangled · 06/03/2022 16:53

Oh fluffy Grin sorry you fell over. Hope it was fun though.

We haven't done much today. I've done a few loads of washing including the bedding and some uni work. Dh took ds fo football and collected some new tools.

Lots of 'older' people are giving him well meaning advice about things he can put through his tax return and how much he will get back etc but I think they're wrong, mostly Hmm

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 06/03/2022 17:28

70 NO coconut in anything as it would be in room 101 permanently for me. I can smell it in stuff. 🤢 Sorry, it turns my stomach. I've chucked drinking chocolate and curry sauce in the bin before now (why is the print on the label so bloomin' small??)
fluffy we had a big (dead) rat once, luckily it was the day before bin day Shock... Hopefully your "Ratty" gets a decent meal and scurries off. DH has detected a number of Hog Poos while he's been out gardening adds Hog food to list 🥰

NoWordForFluffy · 06/03/2022 17:35

Oh, Aldi have changed the recipe of their fake Bailey's and it now tastes of bloody coconut, Puss. It's not right! 😭😭😭

My clothes keep sticking to my knee. I've sewn my leggings though, and they're soaking in cold water to get the blood out of them. 🙈🙄

We've been emptying the wash basket this weekend, Wreck. It's wash everything we own weather! 🤣🤣

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 06/03/2022 18:26

Are you all limpy? wearing the negligee of doom? 🤣🤣
The Sains knock-off Baileys was ok, but no idea if they've buggered that one up too.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/03/2022 18:50

Not limpy, but I am making DH feel guilty for not catching me, bearing in mind he was holding my hand. Tip: drunk DHs can't tell the difference between their DW walking and flying towards the ground. 🙄🙈🤣

I'm in my prisonwear (jogging bottoms), but had to roll the left leg up til the injury had dried, so it didn't stick. It was fine by the time I'd cleaned the kitchen (etc) and ironed the uniforms.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 06/03/2022 19:01

I can't believe he let you loose with an iron and clean the kitchen while you were mortally injured...why weren't you in a recumbent position on the sofa with a cuddly blanket and a beer ? Shock

nerosnewfiddle · 06/03/2022 19:11

Evening all.

Fluffy, I agree with Puss. Feet up, beer and remote in hand.

The app for here was playing up again. It looked like no one posted anything since Thursday. 🤷‍♀️

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/03/2022 20:13

Feet up, beer and remote in hand

Tsk , it was The Beer that sent her AOT , so nice cup of Brew

DH is making plans for holidays , I've rifled through what I have and made lists of what I need .. Like Christmas Planning , I don't want to be running round panic buying a couple of weeks beforehand , but I don't think there's much in the shops right now .

I do need some comfy walking shoes ( got sandles and evening shoes already ) some nice black trousers and a couple of evening tops .

Going to take DH shopping next weekend (he'll love that Xmas Grin )

DD and DH will be watching Peaky Blinders at 9pm , that's my cue to go upstairs and read Nigel (Slater) for comfort .

NoWordForFluffy · 06/03/2022 20:50

Definitely no 🍻 tonight. 🤢🤢🤢

My knee is so sore! 😭😭😭

Morning!

We have an internet outage, so it's like being in dial up again! 🙈

Must've been cold overnight as the cats froze. Don't get that round here too often.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 07/03/2022 08:25

I got up at 3.30 hello insomnia as I was worried my cats would freeze 😻 and I put the heating on.
Can't stop sneezing this morning, eyes puffy and watering - hay fever season?

WreckTangled · 07/03/2022 08:36

Morning. Having a shit Monday. My car won't start. Ffs

NoWordForFluffy · 07/03/2022 08:42

Hayfever is definitely on the way in, Puss. Maybe the last fortnight my eyes have been itchy etc.

Wreck, what a pain. Is it turning over at all, or totally dead?

WreckTangled · 07/03/2022 09:00

Think it's the battery. I've already been to the gym this morning though and it was fine. We've got it to the garage and they're going to replace the battery but I had such a full work diary today. This has been a bit of a straw and camels back situation and I've had a bit of a meltdown Blush

CrazyBaubles · 07/03/2022 12:58

Wreck I'm not surprised, you've had a fair bit of stress building up.
I hope your car is back on the road and you're feeling a bit better now.

Fluffy how's your knee today? Even with your injury I'm a bit jealous of you going out for a few 🍻 with your DH - me and DH never do that.

puss I took some antihistamines on the weekend. It's a bit early but my throat and eyes were terrible, and I'm sniffly today so may take one now too 🤧

Just taking a lunch break and using it to tidy up a bit. It looks lovely out but it's bloody freezing.
