You are good Fluffy, not sure I would ever be that organised to get up early to exercise. I am lucky that my job gives me a good workout especially on a long day.

NoWordForFluffy · 14/02/2022 14:43

I used to get up at 5.45 to exercise, when I worked in Liverpool (and before I did my shoulder). Wouldn't fancy that much as those extra 45 minutes are valuable!

WreckTangled · 14/02/2022 15:54

I get up at 5:20 three times a week. I have to get up for uni at 5:30 anyway that leaves me one day of getting up at 6:39 during the week then weekends where I'm usually up around 7/8. I do like to go to bed early though Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 14/02/2022 17:12

When I went back to work after DS (who still wasn't sleeping!), I got up at 5.15 every day and commuted 90 minutes each way. Fun times. 😴

I gave up on sleep at a similar time to yesterday...he was snoring and muttering in his sleep. 🪓

Puss, you can't be awake...your countdown has got us further away from Christmas, not closer! Xmas Grin

I have done my exercise and am now at my desk the coal face working! Sainsbury's delivery is coming this morning, but later than usual due to it being the school holidays.

WreckTangled · 15/02/2022 07:45

Morning. I've arrived at uni super early. Turns out leaving 10 mins earlier cuts 45 mins of the journey as the traffic hasn't built up at the roadworks yet.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 15/02/2022 07:58

Oops. I suspect being owed 2 nights sleep may have buggered up my ability to count.🤦‍♀️

Wreck DH used to do that, leave 20 mins early - journey time around 20 mins. Leave on-time, journey time up to one hour (M6 permitting).

Chucking it down here. fluffy I think you're going to get a bit of wind up your end this week (up to 60) you might need to break out extra pegs on the washing line. 😮

NoWordForFluffy · 15/02/2022 08:03

Yes, Weds / Thurs is a wee bit breezy for us. I think Met Office has 67 as the highest gust predicted. I said to DH that our washing will either dry or end up elsewhere on Thursday (next dry day!).

It's very soggy here as well and set to continue for 2 days. Grim.

It's funny how traffic can be so different a few minutes earlier, isn't it Wreck?

nerosnewfiddle · 15/02/2022 10:18

I think the storm has already started here. The rain isn't taking it's time to come down. It's going to be the most boring mid term break.

CrazyBaubles · 15/02/2022 11:32

Rain rain and more rain here today ☔️ so walking the dog is going to be fun later.

Things around the house have slipped a bit as DHs work has been extra busy and I've been so under the weather and in pain so I've written out a fairly long to do list for today to get and get myself back on track.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/02/2022 18:40

How are you feeling now, Crazy? I do believe you're having my period as well as your own, as mine has been pathetic, which I wasn't expecting due to how long it is since my last one!

We've had a dry day here, after the wet start. Would've been good for drying washing. Calm before the storm, I'd think.

The scaffolding got removed here today. Thank god! It was properly in the way.

CrazyBaubles · 15/02/2022 18:50

How long had you had the scaffolding up Fluffy? It was too long iirc?

I'm hoping Im turning a corner. Period seems to be ending here (it's day 19 today) but I thought that on Sunday then it randomly started up properly again in the evening.
GP has said if there's no more flooding etc then not to worry. It's just annoying and while the crampy pain is a lot less severe now, it's still there.

I managed to somehow perfectly time the dog walk between showers so I stayed dry plus I've done some bits around the house (mostly just putting stuff away, a load of washing, cleaned kitchen and sprayed around the bathroom so it smells nice).
Going to work on my aunties blanket and relax after tea.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/02/2022 19:00

About 5-6 weeks, I think, Crazy. They were meant to come last November, but didn't appear until early Jan. Then the roofer came a few weeks ago, and it's been there since. It was by the back door, so we had to put bins inside it so the kids didn't run into the lowest bar by accident!

19 days?! You deserve a medal for that one! Can't believe your GP is so dismissive though. That's horrendous.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 15/02/2022 19:09

Evening all Grin
you young'uns will have to google that

I have finally managed to find a plumber - yippee.
The shower is now back to a reasonable pressure rather than just a meagre piddle. 🙄
Have pre-booked a replacement boiler for April.
Happy Anniversary and Birthday DH 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣
fluffy and crazy mine have gone bonkers since the booster. It could be my age (nearly ancient) but I didn't get a prob with AZ only P.

Morning!

It's a bit breezy here (it woke me just after 5am), but nothing on what it's going to be tonight! The joy of Storm Dudley. We don't seem to have it as bad / for as long with Eunice, thankfully.

And, obviously, it's bin night tonight. 🙄 Could lead to exciting times with the bins!

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 16/02/2022 13:00

It's quite breezy here as well. It was sunny but clouding over now.

I had my food delivery this morning and also did some ironing, even though I retired from ironing. My husband does it now mostly.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 16/02/2022 14:07

Quite blowy here...I suspect DH won't sleep tonight 🙄 he'll have to play pokey-paws with the cats instead. 😂
I think Eunice is going to be worse for us than Dudley. It seems to be tracking further south.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/02/2022 14:12

Our wind speed forecast has dropped a little for Dudley, though apparently as Eunice hasn't formed yet, they can't exactly be sure if anything (heard on R5 earlier), other than it's looking like strong winds are ahead!

WreckTangled · 16/02/2022 16:42

Afternoon. Looks like things will be hairy here Friday too.

I'm so tired. I am wondering if it's still Covid related. Also nearly cried this morning as my hips were so sore, have got a telephone consultation with the GP Friday as I want a referral to orthopaedics.

Have just booked DD's Covid jab for next week.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/02/2022 08:26

Rattling down to the 200s at speed now!

Dudley wasn't as bad as forecast, thankfully. It didn't keep us awake, and our windows were on vent. Hopefully Eunice isn't up to much either!

We still have winds of 40mph+ forecast for most of the time at least until the end of the weekend, but that's been pretty standard this last 12-14 months. It's very windy round these parts more often than not, it feels!

CrazyBaubles · 17/02/2022 08:28

312

I hope the GP doesn't argue about your referral Wreck

I've woken up to blue sky and sunshine this morning which is nice after the winds for the last 2 days.
Yesterday the dog was scared because the wind blew over one of our garden lights and the fans in the bathrooms kept making noises.

Went to dsis yesterday which was nice - kids seemed pleased to see me. And they're coming here today as dsis wants me to help alter a fancy dress outfit she's got ready for a hen do on the weekend. Fingers crossed I don't mess it up🤞🏼

WreckTangled · 17/02/2022 08:34

We've got gusts of 70mph forecast. Hope they don't lost power at the garage where our MOT is tomorrow.

I'm sure you won't mess it up crazy! My GP is really good so I don't think she will. I have a complex health condition that I'm not currently seeing any consultants for so I don't see that she would refuse the referral if I can give her al the information. I've been treating with painkillers for 20+ years and I'm only 34 so I don't think it's fair to refuse.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 17/02/2022 11:00

Crazy you might want to check the MetOffice weather warnings for tomorrow. there's a red one now

TheWoollybacksWife · 17/02/2022 11:15

"Only" amber here tomorrow. Not looking forward to it - the only consolation being it's during the day and it's not bin day!

DD1 was at Moulin Rouge in London yesterday. It was one of her Christmas presents from us and she caught up with some friends who live there too. Unfortunately the weather meant that her return train journey was affected. Instead of a 50 minute direct journey she had to travel from a different station and ended up on 2 trains, 2 rail replacement bus services and a taxi. I should have picked her up at 9pm but it ended up being 11:30.

The show was brilliant though!!
