I got wordle in 4 today but it's the first time I've played in a few days.

It's been a bad few days here. GP was beyond useless. I called them back yesterday as not happy about the response I got and was told again not to worry but I could do an iron test at the pharmacy if I want so I've done that but apparently my levels are ok.
Anyway, yesterday I was randomly sick, had a bad headache and ended up in bed early 🙄
Feeling better today but the period continues - light but still going. Day 15 today 😩

Morning!

It sounds miserable outside (which would be true to forecast). Luckily we have no outdoor plans today. I walked to Sainsbury's last night instead of this morning, so the top up shop is done. What I did notice in Sainsbury's is the prices creeping up, 20p, 25p there. It's concerning, but not exactly unexpected.

I've said I'll build Lego with DS today, so that will kill some time. He was talking to me about his 'auto-ism' last night in bed, bless him.

WreckTangled · 12/02/2022 09:47

Morning! Cloudy and cold here.

Ds stayed at a friends last night and dd had a friend over. Dh is at work. The house is a state and I have an assignment to finish.

Fluffy I've noticed the same. In Aldi the babybel's have always been £1.99 now they're £2.25.

I've realised I can get a student discount on my council tax which will be good.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 12/02/2022 10:03

Morning folks.

Auto-ism is a cute way of putting it Fluffy my daughter says she is totally autismo (and she isn't wrong).

I am doing a bank phone shift this afternoon which seemed a good idea when I booked it but now not so much 🤣 still it is from home which is far better than going out and I can wear my slippers.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/02/2022 11:15

Morning , DH , DD and I went to the theatre yesterday ( matinee) play was 2.22 .
Twist at the end , very enjoyable .
Then a vegan burger place for food .

NoWordForFluffy · 12/02/2022 11:59

I do love working in my slippers, Why! It's - partly - why I can't face going to work in a office again. 🤣🤣

Wreck, do you count as a full time student, or do part time students get the discount these days as well?

I've just finished building Lego. DS is very pleased with it (it was the one he really wanted at Christmas, but was disappointed when 'Santa' could only find a second hand one...he's fine now!).

WreckTangled · 12/02/2022 12:16

70 I really wanted to see that! Very jealous

Morning!

Wet and wild today. We're saving doing the washing until later / tomorrow so it goes out tomorrow instead!

Tea bag fail here. We ran out. Luckily we have some we've liberated from Premier Inn trips in the past don't tell AIBU; there was a VERY feisty thread a while ago on this! so we have enough until I go to the shop.

Allotment (to feed the birds), Aldi and Argos are my destinations today. Then home to clean the bathroom.

WreckTangled · 13/02/2022 08:55

I always take the tea bags from the hotel room. We don't drink tea so need something to offer people when they come round Grin

It's windy here but not wet yet. It's going to rain all afternoon though. DH is taking ds to football miles away this morning then we're out for Sunday lunch this afternoon at a really nice pub.

nerosnewfiddle · 13/02/2022 09:24

We go through a shocking amount of tea bags. I drink at least 10 cups a day.

I'm watching the olympics and wondering how do people find that they're good and these sports. Especially when their from here.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/02/2022 09:31

And who decided it was ever a good idea to throw yourself down an icy slope on a tea tray?! 🤣🤣

We drink loads too, Neros. We make pots of tea rather than individual cups though, so you get 4 cups from 3 bags. Still a total fail running out of tea bags, however!

WreckTangled · 13/02/2022 09:35

We're coffee drinkers here.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/02/2022 09:53

DH has one cup of coffee a day, made using his Aeropress. Otherwise it's tea.

nerosnewfiddle · 13/02/2022 09:54

It's mostly me in the house on my own so no point in making a teapot. It does taste nicer though.

I used to love a coffee but I'm not allowed a lot caffeine anymore. Heartbreaking!

WreckTangled · 13/02/2022 10:09

That is heartbreaking neros! I usually have four cups a day Grin

Ds has completely trashed his and DD's bedroom whilst having a strop, pushed everything off of every surface and pulled all the sheets off the beds. Ffs.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/02/2022 10:26

They do some ground decaf ones now, Neros. Maybe worth treating yourself to something like the Aeropress and having something like that?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/02/2022 11:03

Deffo a coffee drinker here but I did develop a taste for tea when I was in Turkey ( they wouldn't let me have coffee in the hospital , though TBF , Turkish coffee is dark and probably hugely caffeine laden. )

I get a brain ache without coffee but I drink it very milky ( soya milk)

Tea needs to be in a pot though ( I bought Yorkshire tea 'cos it came with a Gruffalo tea caddy and we've just carried on)
If it's done in a cup you get a nasty scummy film Xmas Envy

NoWordForFluffy · 13/02/2022 11:06

Hate builders' tea with a passion. Too much tannin! Also hate coffee. 🤣

I drink squash and hot water during my working day.

CrazyBaubles · 13/02/2022 11:53

The only hot drinks taken over in our house are hot choc and tea, all drunk by me. DH doesn't drink hot drinks at all (which I don't understand).
I prefer a teapot so have 2, one that's just for me that you get 2 cups out of and a big one you can get 6 cups of of.
Tetley, Twinings everyday or breakfast tea here.
I also steal the teabags and coffee sachets from hotel rooms. Tea bags as spares and coffee so we have something to offer as we don't drink it.

What was the strop about Wreck? Will he have to tidy up the mess he's made?

I'm at a friends house (and still feeling rough). Her DD is being very stroppy (she's 7) and I think friend is rapidly losing patience so we're going out for a mooch around some shops and a (soft) drink soon, leaving her dd at home with her dad.

WreckTangled · 13/02/2022 12:00

That sounds like a good plan crazy!

Usually he has to tidy up when he does something like that but a lot of it was DD's things and as ds had gone to football I've taken the opportunity to go through it all with dd and get rid of all the rubbish. The strop happened because he started being rude as soon as he got up so I had no PlayStation before football (he's not allowed on at the weekend anyway). I also want to say he can't go on later either but I'm not sure what dh will have said to him at football, he might have tried to bribe him to join in with the promise of PlayStation in which case I'll be thinking of something else. We've still got another week until half term and he's exhausted but I need him to learn to deal with that nicely and channel his anger into something less destructive HmmGrin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/02/2022 12:42

My DS is 22 and has never drunk tea or coffee
He'll very occasionaly have hot chocolate if we're out and it's baltic.

I've got a milk frother gadget that does hot chocolate he's "don;t try and fob me off with the cheap Cadbury stuff , use the Hotel Chocolat " but I think he's had two cups since I bought it .
Usually water or J2O

NoWordForFluffy · 13/02/2022 13:40

DS only drinks water here, and DD will have occasional fruit juice / squash. Neither want to try hot drinks yet (DS won't even try anything that's not water!).

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 14/02/2022 05:22

315 Morning.
DH decided to get up and make a Brew at half 4! 🙄
Happy Valentines day.
He's gone back to bed...

WreckTangled · 14/02/2022 06:18

Oh no puss!

The road is flooded near us so I've had to drive the long way round. Really annoying. And I left my keys in the front door all night.

Our roast out yesterday was nice. Except it was expensive (£17!) and the green veg was really salty. Annoying.

Busy week at work before half term next week.

NoWordForFluffy · 14/02/2022 08:43

Morning!

I'm starting a new exercise / work regime this week. We're so busy that I could use that as an excuse not to exercise for a long time. So, no more excuses: up at 6.20, onto the cross trainer for 30 mins, then starting overtime at 7.30, if needed. I can do the other 30 minutes at 5pm, if necessary. I need to lose some weight, and tone up, so needs must!

Half term this week. The kids definitely need it!
