Morning!

I hate my body...woke up bloody early and couldn't get back to sleep. Might have to go to bed earlier tonight. I'm exhausted!

We're off to Liverpool today, spending some Quidco cash back as a treat! I was going to put it in savings, but thought fuck it! We've barely done anything since the pandemic started, so it's needed. 😁

Morning! I have lots to do today but am sitting under a blanket on the sofa. I have got my second load of washing on though, the new washing machine makes it more appealing. Mainly for the tune it plays when it's finished.

We don't have a suitable forecast for washing! So we're doing it tonight to go out tomorrow. 😁

It's dry and sunny here, rain coming tomorrow but we don't hang outside in the winter anyway.

Wet and wild here today. Just wild tomorrow! 🤣

We dry outdoors all year; the benefit of a coastal breeze!

I did all our urgent laundry yesterday and used the hot airer. We are also in Liverpool today for a flying visit celebrating with the in-laws. I probably won't leave without a mooch round John Lewis so I might bump into you Fluffy

We're currently in the World Museum! An inadvertent MN JL meet up would be funny!

I slept for 9 hours last night and then fell asleep at 4:30pm. I'm annoyed with dh because the only reason I had a little lie down was because I knew he'd be home soon and then I'd get up and start dinner but he actually went to the pub and only just got back. Now I'm groggy and there's no dinner on. I've told him before that of course I have no issue with him going to the pub, he deserves to go after work, but please can he let me know. It take two seconds to send a text ffs.

Lack of communication is frustrating, I agree.

We had a good day, thanks. I'm in bed now. I've a bad headache due to tiredness.

Morning.

My body took the piss last night. Yep hours' sleep, so took the edge off. Then I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep for a couple of hours. So I've still had 7 hours of sleep, and still feel tired.

I'll pop to the allotment quickly today, just to feed the birds. Too windy to do much. Then I need to weed our front garden before cleaning the kitchen. Exciting!

The weather is awful here. Wet and windy. Ds has football and I've got to go food shopping. Dd will stay home. Today is dh's first day off work in 21 days and, you guessed it, he's going to work later he didn't want to but another tradesman needs something doing before he starts a job tomorrow.

Got up just before 6. Cats went nuts because there was a "furrin" tabby sitting on their fence 🤔😹 DH just crawled out of his "hibernation pit" our bed so I asked him what time he wanted lunch. 😂
2nd load of washing just gone in, TD is going to be busy as it's been raining most of the night and still is now.
Had a really weird dream last night...
the Queen was visiting me and wanted a cup of tea, but also wanted me to mend the buttonhole on her dressing gown which was a patchwork made up of many old dressing gowns and Kate was with her (but was only 4 feet tall and massively pregnant) and wanted hot chocolate...my jar of spare buttons changed into a jar of marbles...at that point I woke up thankfully Any ideas what all that meant??🤔😹

Just to add...I haven't been eating cheese. 🧀🐭

Our weather is just starting to clear, so the washing can go out soon. It should dry fast in this wind if it doesn't end up on the other side of the country!

I think it's something about loving the queen but worrying she's losing her marbles or maybe worrying that you're losing your marbles

Not really fluffy he certainly doesn't look like himself atm anyway as he hasn't had a hair cut in about two months

Hi all ..can I join you? Last Christmas was a bit rubbish as DM died in November. My time off seemed to go so fast.
This year am down to host MIL and Dd (an only) will (hopefully) come back from her first term at Uni. She may not be too far away so there will be some concerts etc to look forward to. I want to make it really nice for her this year.

Didn't know wether to put on this thread or bargain thread but just picked up some eco giftwrap from Barnardos got some great Christmas bits in their sale.

How was Liverpool Fluffy? I'm assuming the dc enjoyed it?
I've never been but am planning a weekend there with my friend at some point this year (was meant to be last year but Covid cancelled it).

Welcome orange. Was the postage expensive for your bargains as that's what put me off a lot of the sites I looked at for Christmas bargains.

I'm having a wasted weekend thanks to current hormones / endo issues. I spent all of yesterday moping around and in pain.
DH has clearly taken pity on me - he brought me breakfast in bed this morning then cleaned the kitchen, did some garden jobs and put a CCF on as he left to go to FILs for lunch (unbeknown to me he'd told them I'm not well so won't be going but has arranged to bring me a dinner back).
I felt a bit guilty so I've managed to very slowly push the hoover around downstairs but thats it.

Now on the sofa and about to start working on a blanket as requested by my auntie. I'm so nervous because it's a request rather than something I'm choosing to do, and she's supplied super chunky yarn which I've never used before.

I've had a productive day as I've been to feed the birds and dig some leeks. I then collected a parcel from Dobbies' Amazon locker.

I've weeded the front garden and some of the back, as well as tidied pots up and made the garden look vaguely presentable. The slabs need a jet wash, but that's a spring job when the bastarding scaffold has gone too.

We're having Booths' Cumberland swirl pigs in blankets for dinner. With a few potatoes I didn't find to roast at Christmas!

It was good fun, Crazy. Spent more money than I wanted to. But it was nice to get out, even though the weather was appalling!

I hate paying postage, but obviously it's needed sometimes as it's not cheap for the sellers really.

Good luck with your project too. What is it you're making?

I've just removed my moustache (sexy) but seem to be having a bit of a reaction to the cream probably because it's a few years out of date 😂 I'm in the house alone though which is lovely. Ds is with dh and dd at a friends.

The project is a small throw for over the back of her sofa. She wants it to be around 1m square, doesn't care about what pattern it is as long as it's in the right colours (which she's provided - cream, sand and coral.

I've just experimented a bit with the yarn but none of my hooks are really big enough so I've ordered a 9mm one online.

May start experimenting with patterns for a blanket for me / the spare bed. I'd like to do one like this (pic) but have no idea if I'll be able to figure it out.

Wreck I love being in the house by myself when I'm not working, which is happening less and less at the mo.
