DD2 is recovering from Covid - tested positive just before the weekend. She's had one really rough day but the rest of the time has been mainly snotty/congested.

How is everybody today? I'm glad your DD2 didn't suffer too badly with Covid. The figures down your way are shocking...yours always seem to go up when ours go down. We're on a seesaw!

Still breezy here. It's here for the foreseeable!

Morning. It was so nice here yesterday, I could have taken my jumper off. We went for a walk after school to see the horses and sheep. We haven't seen them since lockdown.

Work was busy and stressful. Can't wait for the weekend.

Covid cases are so high. There's quite a few at ds' school and dd said half her class and teacher are off with reinfections.

Our rent is going up £20 a month from April too.

Our cases here are well below the UK average. But we were loads higher a few weeks ago. We've had our class outbreaks already!

We have windchill factor here. 🥶 We're off to Liverpool on Saturday though, even though we'll have to hold tight to the kids next to the Mersey, lest they blow away!

Wreck that rent increase has to be the worst timing on top of the prices of just about everything else going up!

I went to my parents for tea yesterday with dsis, niece and nephew. It was nice but I was on edge with my stomach the whole time and glad we came home quite early.

Not feeling any better yet but we have nothing planned for the next few weeks (until the holiday in half term) because we've overspent here and there and need to reign it in so I'm hoping that means I'll be at home for most of the worst side effects and they'll clear by the time we go away.

Wow those numbers are high puss. I think we're on 600-odd cases per 100k here. Funny how everyone all used to panic here when we reached 300 cases but now it's double that and no one seems to care very much.

DHs class had literally half of the pupils off last week and the numbers were so bad they put his class on a sort of lock down where they had separate breaks and had to eat lunch in the classroom.
It meant his TA couldn't be in there (as she's PT in his class and PT in 2 others) and no one could come in to supervise breaks etc so he got no proper breaks at all.

I think we're on 1200/100k here.

I'm so tired this week has been so busy and I haven't got much of a restful weekend ahead. Also have busy work weeks right up until half term where I actually have some time off 🥱

I didn't finish until 6.30 today. I was given a shitty file just before I had a quick break at lunchtime, so spent the afternoon dealing with that.

DH has been exhausted. He's counting down the days to half term I think.

Day has not gone well here. I'll spare the tmi but will just say I hate some aspects of being a woman and I've had to change my clothes twice today 😩
Feeling very weak and wobbly so am having a chilled evening - have dug out my crochet hooks and some yarn to keep myself occupied.

The money news is awful Fluffy. We're ok for now but if this was a few years ago we would have really struggled.
Families like dsis will struggle as her DP doesn't earn loads, she works PT and with the 2 little ones doing mornings only in nursery, she's home needing to run her heating and things.

I'm getting up soon...work to do. I was on top of things until yesterday. Then it went tits up. Which is usually a Friday thing recently. I shall tell my manager that she 'Friday'd' me yesterday, so she isn't to do it today as well! 🤣

I am off today thankfully as my back is agony where I got damaged by a patient.

DH told me I was pale yesterday and as prepared as I have tired to be, I'm sat at my desk in a nice too, pj bottoms and on a towel 🙄

Why do you see a chiropractor or physio for your back?
I used to see a woman every other month for years and she was an amazing (a McTimony practictioner - a painless chiropractor).

We've had all weather here. Currently sunny.

I got another Friday file! Thankfully with a responsive client, so I've been able to post court forms off to court already! I like clients like that.

Crazy I can't afford a chiropractor and physio is still over the phone at the moment and I can't see that will be any help.

Fair enough why - it's not cheap is it? I haven't been for ages but I do remember that she told me in between appointments to try lying on my back, pulling my knees up to my chest then bending my legs and moving them slowly from one side to the other (my issue is lower back and pelvis area).

Also, I have no idea how speaking to a physio over the phone is meant to help you 🙄

I'm winding down my work now. Desperate to finish at 4 so I can lie down - it's the only position that seems to ease the tight crampy pains. I've just put the washing machine on so I'm planning to lie on the bed when I finish until it's done.

My period has totally fucked off. I have no clue when I last had one. 🙄🤷‍♀️ Maybe the December jab nuggets it up!

Phone physio is common now. Chocolate teapot comes to mind.

I took my DS to work this morning , did the supermarket shop and have done all the washing , cleaned the bathroom and made some roast pepper soup

I have tried the lie-flat-knees -raised-move-side-to-side with my back too Crazy . I had my back injured when I was pg with DD (she's 19 now) and from time to time it throws a strop ,
If I'm working in an awkward way (some patients cannot straighten the knee or hip so even with the chair elevated its difficult ) , my back will whinge at me after !

Plan to take DD shopping ( buy her some clothes if she's good ) for University things .

Then some garden tidy up ( was going to do it today but predictably it peed with rain as I;m not a work )

Evening. Hope everyone is ok. I read the posts then forgot them. I'm so tired I'm struggling to function and feel like I could cry any minute I'm not sad though just a bit stressed from being so busy.

I did manage to finish at 4 Fluffy. I spent a lovely hour led on the bed with a hot water bottle on me and having a cwtch with the dog.

I definitely think the jab effects cycles - lots of people have reported it as a side effect I think.

70 you definitely deserve a sit down after that!
We have garden tidying plans for the weekend too (weather permitting of course)
