Dd needs glasses. Thankfully she chose the nhs ones although she had to choose from the adult section

Feel bad for not taking her sooner but it's only a small prescription.

puss Similar story here with glasses - I was desperate not to have glasses so I became clever with copying / sharing notes etc. got away with that between ages 11 - 14 ish 🤓 Love my glasses now though, I don't feel dressed without them.

I'm just home from my day out. It was so nice - we chatted loads, ate lunch, spent loads a bit of money on the 2p machines, chatted more, had tea and cake, more chatting, a walk and home.
DH has been out for a few hours and he left a window open so the house is freezing 🥶 Going to try and warm up by cleaning the bathroom then either desperately try and finish the cross stitch I'm not enjoying or get distracted by starting a lap blanket for myself for when I'm working....

Morning.

I'm tired. Late night and then I woke early. As always seems to happen. I'll have to have an early night tonight to catch up!

I spent yesterday afternoon hunting down Lego pieces for DS to build a kit which had got broken up. He was very pleased with himself when he finished it! A few pieces had to be subbed, but not too many.

They need to move it all around today so DH can vacuum...we need to win the lottery and have a Lego room! 🤣

I've still got some of my lego, it must be 40! It's all in the original boxes, safely tucked under a chest of drawers. I did think about getting it out during lockdown 1 and rebuilding it...then remembered about the 😹😹 🤦‍♀️ so decided it was safer to leave it hidden.

I've bitten the inside of my cheek and it's really painful. Ds has football today and dh is working so I have to take him. Hopefully he joins in.. last week he played the second half and this week he said he will be a sub in the first half. Next week he's apparently going to join in with the team talk and the next week he will also warm up with them he's easing himself in..

I'm going to cook a roast later too.

Wreck you could try rinsing with salty water...I do it a lot since I had a tooth out...it'll calm down in bit - try not to poke it with your tongue.

I've finally defrosted after football, thought my feet my fall off. Have also hoovered so might have a little nap before starting dinner...

I feel rather full... I made stew and dumplings with dauphinoise potatoes for tea, and then Apple strudel with cream for pudding. My eyes were bigger than my belly and I need a JCB to scoop me off the sofa.

Hey just get your DD to bring you a blanky...you'll need to sleep upright after all of that! 😂

I'm knackered...I dug the weeds out of the raspberry cage earlier as well as moved a table to somewhere more suitable. The Chairman of the committee made me a sign to say I want some of the free manure which gets dropped off (DH has failed numerous times to get me something to make a sign with), so hopefully I'll have a massive pile of shit waiting for me next time I'm there!

I've cleaned the kitchen (etc) and ironed the kids' uniforms, plus put the washing on the airers to finish off, after being outside all day.

We're going to watch the new Jed Mecurio programme on ITV, then it's bed time!

Dentist tomorrow. Yay. Need to dig a medical mask out, not one of my usual cloth ones.

I'm also very full. We went to Harvester for lunch with nephew then to cinema to see the new Spider-Man film. I enjoyed it but it didn't half test my memory.
I also ate too many sweets and now I feel a bit sick.

Morning!

Monday again...makes a change from it always being Sunday (which is my kitchen-cleaning day!).

I'll be starting work at 7 again as I have a whole load of stuff to do thanks to my awful Friday afternoon! One day I'll exercise again, but I have to keep on top of work, and I prefer to work early and finish on time than work late. Sigh.

Morning. I've got an observation this morning and dh just spilt yoghurt all down my leg. I didn't go to the gym as I was still away at 11 and I've had a headache all night. On the plus side it's pay day but our car has its MOT in a couple of weeks so saving all my spare money for that.

It's been approx 40 years since my last pay day, Wreck! It's finally due on Thursday. Whoop!!

I'm just waiting in the car before going to the dentist. They aren't keen on opening the doors much before 9am, even pre-Covid!

Payday!!! Please hurry up! January is a killer month. We don't get paid earlier in December - same date as always, but oh my goodness am I feeling the pinch.

I did find £2.00 in the washer, and another £2.00 in the fluff filter in the tumble dryer so that was a bonus 😊 They obviously belong to DH but they're mine now. MINE

I always say that washing machine money is mine Hey.

Am I the only one that doesn't launder money?! I have done a TV remote before now🤦‍♀️ they don't half rattle when on a full spin.

DH is much too careful for me to find any laundry money ☹️ However he doesn't like having change in his pocket and will put it in the bowl we use for our keys and every so often I take a few pound coins out 😂

puss I've washed lots of hair clips, a wallet, a hairbrush and a phone once .
Most of those were my fault but the phone isn't. I was looking after eldest nephew (who was a toddler at the time) and he went to the washing machine after I'd filled it but while I was collecting tea towels to Chuck in and in the 2 minutes I was busy he put our house phone in. It made so much noise 😂

Finally finished work, good shopping, walk and cleaning kitchen. I feel so tired after rubbish sleep, bedtime seems so far away.

We launder the odd £1 from me using them in a trolley and putting them in a pocket rather than back where they belong!

My teeth really, really hurt from having the scale and polish. The blast of iced water at my teeth, combined with the actual scale, has left them hyper sensitive. I can barely drink as it's setting them off. 😣

We share our shopping deliveries with DH's parents, and they didn't want anything this week, so I didn't have enough shopping to meet the minimum order charge bare minimum top up due to it being so close to pay day. So, I walked to Sainsbury's after dinner to get what we needed. DH was giving blood, so I couldn't have the car. I filled my wheelie trolley to the brim! I'll go again on Friday, when I've been paid.
