I've booked a trip to Warsaw today, with a load of internet randoms. One is a random from 2010, so not so random now. The other is a MNer from my DD's antenatal group 2012/13 and the other is someone I've never met, but the 2010 random adopted her recently! 🤣 We're off to see Biffy Clyro in September.

I'm back from my epic voyage

There was a horrendous M6 crash (northbound) I was travelling southbound but of course , had to drive past the scene

There was a closure on the m1 southbound but that wasn't on my stretch of the M1 so I avoided a huge delay/ re-route

I did buy some lovely Gruffalo wrapping paper to put away for this Christmas so I am already ahead of the game here .

Tomorrow I am going to have a well deserved lie-in and make DH bring me coffee before I even think about getting vertical

I heard about that crash, I think. J15/16? It's 'smart' motorway there; we won't drive on it now.

I'm not a fan of Smart Motorways either , there was one stretch I was on that had a "Use The HardShoulder" sign but they're covered in all the denris (so I didn't)

M6 crash was awful, lorry through the central reservation , jack knifed .

That's very near me. It's a nasty section.
There's still 2 lanes closed, I suspect they're having to resurface some.
We don't use it. A500 then A34 to go south and back lanes/cross country to go north.

Oh hello Heyup she likes skincare and random things as she calls them but she's really strict on ethics so we don;t use anything sold in China or animal tested (which means I have to search everything , no impulses buys in TKMaxx unless I can ID ot or do a search )
You can see why I don;t wear much make-up

A couple of years ago I bought an AC to chop up (and use in mine) but some of the products were more suitable for my skin (ancient ) so didn't buy another

Morning!

I had an early night last night again. Must've had about 8 hours' sleep. I'm currently on the way to Sainsbury's as it's a good walk to start the weekend!

DD is off to a friend's house this afternoon. DS will be lonely!

We also have roofers coming at 9am, finally. They had to wait for the scaffolding which we've now had for weeks (it took 2 months to come!) until the roofers could fit us in (and it wasn't frozen!).

Still tired, still got a headache and upper back pain. I have submitted both of my assignments though 🙌🏼 need to have a shower now.

Roofers didn't come...the labourer let them down. 🙄 Monday now, apparently. I just want it to be done and the scaffolding taken away!

Hurrah for assignments being handed in! I don't miss those days.

I've opted for a bath today. Just so I get to lie down for a bit. 🤣

I wonder if you are 'just' post-Covid or if it's something else? I know omicron has muscle pain associated with it, so potentially that?

Very envious of your bath Fluffy. I can't wait to extend this house and get a bath in - showers are fine but they're just not the same.
How shit that the roofers aren't there!

We booked flights yesterday for Christmas this year (flights were released Thursday so we nabbed them cheaply).
Now we just need to cross fingers and hope we can go - If all goes to plan we'll be somewhere snowy and freezing, possibly looking at the northern lights 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Crazy can you re-jig the bathroom at all? or maybe fit one of the deep japanese soaking bath (omnitub?) where the shower is/with the shower over.

It's well known that scaffolders use peoples houses as storage facilities for the scaffolding, only collecting it when they need it back! The tower we had out the front last year was there for bloody ages afterwards. 🤬 This is by the back door and in the way of the washing line, so if they don't want me to remove it for them, they'd best get back for it!

Crazy, sometimes I'm too lazy to shower! 🤣🤣 Where are you flying to?

puss current bathroom is technically big enough for a bath if we pulled the shower out (it's a huge one with a seat in) but it was newly done a year before we moved in so we don't want to spend money replacing it until we do the extension. We figure having all the ripping apart and mess at the once is better.
Once it's done we should have a 3rd bedroom (which will be my office) plus an en-suite on our room which will basically be mine with a lovely bath in (and no shower).

I've looked at those Japanese baths and I think I'd like one but not sure how bad they are for water use though.
