Hello Countdowners Xmas Grin
Very busy week , had to leave home before 7am each morning for the arse numbing drive then the same arse numbing drive home
And scraping the car a few mornings this week.

Next week I'm MIA , going to visit DMum and try and sort things in the DParents house so I won;t have MN ( no wi-fi , don't like reading on my phone and I can get more done if I don;t ogle MN all day Xmas Grin )

Three weeks ago I did the Christmas Food last minute and had The Christmas Fridge
It's looking sad now
No stilton but I do have a nice wendsleydale to go with cake .

Hyperdontia is a condition that causes too many teeth to grow in your mouth. These extra teeth are sometimes called supernumerary teeth. They can grow anywhere in the curved areas where teeth attach to your jaw
Don't search Google images of hyperdontia .
Listen to your Uncle Billy ( Love Actually quote)

Freddie Mercury had extra incisors though

Morning!

Interesting teeth talk! I had two removed as a child so they could fit a brace in (under GA, thankfully), but no extra teeth. DD has shark teeth as her bottom adult ones are through, but it's taken almost another year to lose just one of the bottom ones in front. Still waiting for number 2 to go.

I prefer Stilton to eating cheese on cake. That's just not something I'd do (I'm not keen on Christmas cake in the first instance).

WreckTangled · 14/01/2022 07:06

Dd woke up covered in blood poor thing. I'm not sure what's normal or not. I've cleaned her up and it's not bleeding currently and the clot is in the wound which I know it right but it seems to spread out of the wound and around the two teeth next to it. She's begged not to go to school but her attendance is so low I've said she has to. Feel so sorry for her. At least they finish early on a Friday.

CrazyBaubles · 14/01/2022 09:07

I finally finished all my Christmas cheese yesterday (including the last tiny piece of Wensleydale with cranberries) 70 and our Christmas fridge is long gone ☹️

Wreck just thinking about that makes me feel a bit sick. Your poor dd, she's having a really rough time of it isn't she?

I've got a busy day work wide plus my eczema is awful today as I scratched it in my sleep. Roll on 4pm when I can log off!
I think I'm going to be providing some childcare this weekend by taking niece to the cinema. I mentioned it a few days ago to her and she kept asking me yesterday when we're going. I don't mind, she's good and funny company for a few hours

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/01/2022 09:24

Wreck your poor DD. She's really having a rough time of it lately isn't she.

We ate the last pack of mini shortbread this week and I had the last piece of Christmas cake yesterday. I sliced up the last of the turkey and gammon a couple of days after Christmas and made small (2 sandwich sized) parcels and put them in the freezer. We had the last of the gammon for lunch yesterday and I've got a couple of parcels of turkey still to use up.

I took DS and all his stuff to school this morning as I wanted a mooch round M&S. in my search for something else I discovered 3 bottles of Cranberry Bucks Fizz reduced to £3 so they went in my basket 😂 I'm going to nip into Dunelm now to see if they've got any Christmas bargains left. I doubt it but I need to kill another 15 minutes as I want to call into a shop on my way home that doesn't open until 10.

WreckTangled · 14/01/2022 17:15

Mmm I love shortbread!

Dd is having a hard time but she's doing really well. We're going to asda tomorrow which is exciting Grin I'm going out for dinner tonight with my friend too. No headache today which is good, well the odd niggle but that's it.

Crazy my psoriasis is really bad at the moment I wonder if it's the weather?

NoWordForFluffy · 14/01/2022 17:49

We have loads of Christmas food left! 🤣 I always over-buy (I say 'buy', it's mostly free with Nectar points)!

Your poor DD, Wreck. I hope she's feeling more herself soon.

Well found on the Buck's Fizz front, Woolly. I'll look tomorrow!

Morning!

I've just woken up! 😱 I was meant to be leaving at about 8.15, walking into town, bearing in mind I normally wake at 7-ish! Plan foiled! I was awake at 5-something, but got back to sleep. A little too well, it seems. 🤔 I was woken by a small dog barking outside.

It's a sort small jobs day today. Lots of little things have been waiting and just haven't been done, like measuring feet, sorting DS' old clothes into a bundle to sell etc. I'd best get upright. 😁

WreckTangled · 15/01/2022 09:15

Morning! I'm having a productive morning. Have saved £100 on my car insurance plus £40 TopCashback. We're in McDonald's next to asda and I'll get fuel here. The diesel is only £1.42 and petrol £1.40 Shock bargain.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/01/2022 11:25

Good going, Wreck!

I'm almost back from town. With bacon! I'm hungry now as I didn't eat before I went.

WreckTangled · 15/01/2022 17:23

It's been so cold today it was still only 3° at 1pm. Once I put the shopping away I tidied the kitchen and cleaned the bin 🤮 something had spilt in the bottom. Today has flown by really.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/01/2022 17:37

I had to do that with our bin last week, Wreck. Bin juice ahoy! 🤮🤮🤮

I think it was colder when I set off for home at about 11am than it was when I left to go into town 1.5 hours before that. I've not been outside since to check the status. We've had to have the heating on more today though.

CrazyBaubles · 15/01/2022 19:05

It's been a busy day here. Did some admin and housework then picked up niece for the afternoon.
Did the park, food shopping, cinema then back to ours for McDs and some playing before dropping her off. We've just come home and sat down

Don't think we'll be doing much this evening, just vegging.
I have a big chunk of cross stitch to unpick and redo and DH is already moaning about being tired 🙄

He can rest up tonight as we have more jobs and housework tomorrow, including moving Harry (the indoor Christmas tree) as we just dumped him outside and he's in the way.
I'm trying to nurse him back to life as I half killed him over Christmas Xmas Blush

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/01/2022 19:13

Vally freezing here too !
DH and I went to Aldi to stock up on pizza/garlic bread and of course The Aisle Of Wonder beckoned .............

I didn't buy the soup maker ( had to rein myself in there , I'm sure a soup maker would enhance my life . Not as much as the breadmaker though ! ) . I've got a pressure cooker which makes really nice soup , very quickly .

Some household products too . ( mainly because they have the Leaping Bunny .)

I told DS it's three weeks since Christmas , he was very Meh .... ( I need to fathom out what has gine so dreadfully wromg with him and see if I can get a refund . The hospital where he was born has closed down but if I drive round I'm sure I can fathom where the entrance was an dump him there with a Paddington Bear style label )

NoWordForFluffy · 15/01/2022 19:14

What did you watch at the cinema, Crazy?

We sorted DS' old clothes and I've stuck them on Facebook, so hopefully somebody will want them. We also sorted old bedding and the curtains from the living room, as well as knackered old clothing, and put them in the charity bin down the road. It's officially for good stuff for resale, but I'm pretty sure they have easy access to material recycling, which we don't, so we stick everything in there!

I also wrapped some birthday presents / clothes we're sending to my friend for her DD, and got them ready for posting, including buying / printing postage. DH will drop them at the sorting office on Monday.

I also cleaned the bathroom.

I didn't manage to dust or make muffins for DS, so they're jobs for tomorrow after I've been to the allotment.

CrazyBaubles · 15/01/2022 21:19

We have the opposite temptation here 70 - I had a soup maker but sold it because I find making soup on the cooker really calming and love the smell in the house (I'm a weirdo - I get the same satisfaction from pairing socks) 😂

Your DS is young. I'm sure he'll learn change as he gets older..... 🤞🏼

Fluffy we watched Encanto. It was quite nice but long for someone as young as my niece, which I didn't realise when I booked it.

We have clothes to put in the donation bin at Sainsbury's - it was full today though.
I also have some curtains and blinds that were here when we moved in that I've had on fb for ages with no movement so I need to donate them I think.

Finished unpicking my stitching and have corrected most of it now so trying to decide if I can be arsed to continue or just put it down for the night.

Morning!

I've been awake far too long...clearly yesterday was a one-off. Sigh!

Baking, allotment and cleaning today. The excitement of it all. I also need to do a reference for a barrister friend to become a Judge. Hopefully that won't take too long!

Crazy, unpicking is so annoying, isn't it?

The donation bin we use is by the corner shop about 200m away. It's very handy!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/01/2022 08:32

I went to bed decent time last night and got blasted awake by some arse letting off fireworks ...Xmas Angry
About 4-5 minutes of loud . whimey , exploding bloody fireworks .

I am really happy to see/hear them on Guy Fawkes Night and NYE . But not any random Saturday near midnight .

I'm going to DParents house , need to clear some furniture items and have a clean up . They have curtains still up which I;m leaving for now .

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 16/01/2022 10:58

70 best wishes for your trip. I know how difficult it will be.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 16/01/2022 11:02

I've been listening to the Cricket for hours...worst defeat since 1948! 😂
So England are good at something losing 🤦‍♀️🦆
DH has cleaned some windows, so at least he'll have a decent view of the garden when he's washing up! 😹

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 16/01/2022 11:38

Morning all. We are at a soft play as DS finally managed to sleep through the night after a week of being firm!

Tonight we are having a roast with leftover pigs in blankets and red cabbage from the freezer Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 16/01/2022 12:12

Safe journey, 70.

I've just been hunting bindweed weeding at the allotment, with company from Mr Robin! I've finally seen them eating from the bird table I got for my birthday! The food has been going, but never in plain sight!

I love watching the birds from a distance once I've stopped working. 😍😍

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 16/01/2022 13:30

We have 2 robins at the mo (Bob n Dave, slightly different red feathers), and 7 or 8 blackbirds...give it a couple of months and they will all be scrapping for pecking rights. 🤷‍♀️
I love the collared doves we get, they look so graceful.
We've had a probably lost pied wagtail, 3 types of tit, tons of sparrows and wood pigeons too...they're pecking me out of house and home 😂
Sending DH to B&M tomorrow to restock. I they need seed, suet, meal worms and sultanas.

Morning!

Another chilly one this morning! I've been working since 7 again, as I need to get fully on top of everything, as I'm swapping my RTA files for non-RTA files imminently (we did have a mixed case load, but as of today I'm back to a team dealing solely with non-RTA files), which will bring with it about 120-150 hours' work to review them all! 😱 I'm glad I'm back to my specialism though.

I only feed the allotment birds once a week, Puss. They must tap their feet waiting for me to show up! 🙈🤣

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 17/01/2022 08:53

Morning folks.

Sounds like you will be busy there Fluffy.

I have loads to do today and none of it my stuff 🤣 I have been driving my daughter about as she had an accident recently and has no car and typically she moved further away the day before. So I am mum's taxi today whilst they sort a few things out.
