Why, my friend doesn't have to isolate. She has to have 3 PCR tests instead over 10 days, and can keep working if they're negative. (She kept working while her DD was positive.)

Our guidance changed at a christmas to say we could now work with a household case, before that we weren't allowed. So confusing.

Me neither. I've just made two phone calls to book boring appointments I've been putting off for about six months and I've completed on of my assignments.

I wasn't meant to work late today, but I got an offer in at 4.45 today, so had to ring the client, whose response was, 'You're fucking shitting me!' when I told him the offer amount!

I did manage a lunch break today, and did some ironing. The excitement!

I'm taking an early lunch break today to pick niece up from school as her brother has a hospital appointment. Looking forward to that as I've barely seen them since Christmas.
Then up to parents this evening for a takeaway as a birthday celebration for my dad.

We have British Gas coming today to sort out the electrics for our new electric car we are getting in March and also to look for a potential leak as our boiler pressure keeps falling.

Also have DS' swimming lesson today and the DCats vaccinations. For now though I am going to use up the Christmas Stilton by making broccoli and Stilton soup.

I hate Stilton Vasectomy so it get frozen here so I don't have to smell it for DH to use for soup.

What electric car are you going for? We want get one in the next couple of years and have been looking at them.
DHs cousin has a Nissan Leaf which they really love (he was an Audi / BMW / Merc estate driver previously).

I need to get my arse into gear. I've done a few tasks but motivation is failing me right now. Ive just been down and made up hot water bottles (1 for me and 1 for the dog) as a way to get away from my for a few minutes.
Ive also just realised I'm going to have to de-ice my car before I leave to pick up niece as the sun doesn't hit our driveway until the afternoon so it's still frozen solid 🥶

I've just been out and de-iced DH car - well, my car but he's using it - so he can take some rubbish/recycling to the tip. The sun only got to the drivers side, so I had to do most of the windscreen and the passenger side. It was solid.
Crazy have you a spare hot water bottle? If so (or if you can spare yours) fill it and put it on the dash of the car - it should thaw the ice to save you a job later.

You don't need to freeze Stilton. It's already off! 🤣🤣 Cheese lasts way beyond dates; we ignore those.

I could hear neighbours scraping cars earlier. Ours should be OK when DH uses it in about 20 mins, as it's at the front in full sun.

Ah I'd already de-iced the car before I read your message puss but I'll definitely stash that tip away for another day. I have a set of 3 hot water bottles (a normal one, a mini one and a long thin one).

Fluffy DH makes batches of soup every few weeks so the Stilton could be in the fridge for ages and ages if I wait for him to use it.
I don't mind when it's unopened but once it's been open the smell makes me 🤢 so we freeze it.

DH hates stilton and I love it. Some of it had gone very dark so I trimmed it slightly but still plenty left for the soup.

I have just culled DS' toys and stuck them in the garage. If he doesn't miss them in 6 months I will get rid. I bet he will come home and immediately declare that he wants to play with them even though he hasn't played with them in about a year

I'm just waiting to pick dd up as she's got to have her extra tooth removed. I'm more nervous than her I think.

My headache got so bad I had to take something for it and I thought I might be sick. It went but that's was 3 hours ago now and I can feel it coming back. Very annoying.

Yes it's supernumerary, she had a baby one too which is fairly common but quite unusual to get an adult one. She was so brave she didn't even flinch.

Does that mean she's had her baby and adult teeth through plus an extra one?
I had quite a few of them - when I was in my v early teens I had 6 teeth removed to make room for them as apparently my mouth was 'crowded' and they were pushing everything out of shape.
Thank god back then they offered GA for it because I bloody hate the dentist!

Yes and it was even more unusual because it was a fully formed tooth with a fully formed (although not quite perfect) root, usually they might just be half a tooth with a tiny root.
