I’d like to think that he gets one day off at least.
In reality, I picture that he will have a sumptuous brunch and will then head off to some ward rounds. I don’t think his “being” would be able to chill whilst knowing that thousands of colleagues are working their socks off. I then imagine him finally arriving home, pouring a glass of good red wine, chatting to those who are at his house, and having a faithful cat curl up on his lap (or dog settle at his feet).
For those saying (not nastily, from what I could see) re his salary. I’m sure, compared to lots on here, it could see, like a lot (I have no idea what it is). Personally, I don’t think any amount of money could pay me to do his job. He is balancing a very fine line re having to deal with bloody politicians for a start. There are many jobs - and I’m not talking about movie stars or footballers - that will pay many times what his salary is. As far as I’m concerned, he more than earns whatever he is paid.
I know it obviously won’t change things a huge amount, but I also like to think of little legacies being passed on here and there - as everything I’ve seen re people who do/have worked with him seems to have an impact. There is nothing wrong in life re being a quiet bit impactful influence.
Merry Christmas Mr Whitty!
