I’m starving and this thread is making my stomach rumble.

@Indoctro Love your veggie dinner with all the cheese and all the carbs😋

We don’t have a starter and go straight into the main…

Roast chicken
Stuffed, rolled Turkey
Nigella’s ham in coke
Roast potatoes, parsnips & carrots
Cauliflower cheese
Braised red cabbage
Mashed swede
Mashed potato
Yorkshire puddings
Four types of stuffing - sage & onion, pork & chestnut, pork, cranberry & orange, American cornbread
Pigs in blankets
Steamed greens - sprouts, peas, broccoli

I’ve got a small Christmas pud & extra thick double cream for me & DH

Kids can choose from various desserts I’ve made/ got in - Yule log, trifle, raspberry tart, lemon meringue pie, various ice creams.

Always aim for a night time cheeseboard, but usually too stuffed, so that will probably wait for Boxing Day.

Pallisers · 23/12/2021 17:52

french bread
mushrooms stuffed with sausage stuffing
Patatas bravas with spicy sauce
beef (doing a roast on xmas eve so leftovers) with a blue cheese sauce and a peppercorn sauce
asparagus

rocket salad with lemon thyme dressing
I might do some buffalo chicken tenders too.

We will have pancetta wrapped sausages for breakfast.

This is my first year doing it gluten free which has proved easier than expected, and I'm only feeding 2 of us.

Stuffed turkey breast from Cook
Roast potatoes
Roast parsnips
Pigs in blankets
Sausagemeat stuffing balls
Yorkshire puds
Mashed carrot and swede

I will enjoy the leftovers fried up as bubble and squeak on Boxing Day almost as much as the main dinner.

Pudding might be a lemon roulade, or Christmas pudding, or chocolate fondant, or, more likely tbh, Yule Log Vienetta chased down with a Snowball.

@TheCreamCaker that sounds amazing. Would you be willing to share the recipe for your curry?

I’m on my own this year and making a curry sounds like a good way to spend the day.
