Dc are teenagers so not so much to wrap this year fortunately. I’m on the last few things and that’s amazing for me as I’m usually up till all hours on Christmas Eve finishing it off. I’ve even put it in sacks ready. I can’t believe it!

I'm not wrapping. I am putting gifts in tote bags and large laundry bags.

There's a rogue basketball somewhere in my wardrobe that needs finding and wrapping, I think that's it though. Oh, there's a top for DD from my DM that arrived the other day too.

Oh that reminds me, I have a frying pan in the boot of my car for DS1.

I just have my dog & cat presents to go (I’ll blame menopausal mad dog lady vibes, but really, I’m just a soppy old bugger).

I made the mistake of buying Habitat eco friendly brown & dusty red wrapping paper from Sainsbury’s. Only proper Sellotape sticky tape sticks to it, it is double the thickness, won’t fold properly & rather than looking chic & oozing eco gorgeousness, it just looks like I’ve wrapped everything in the cardboard in the centre of a bog roll tube.

The red paper looks better, but has the same non-bendability as its brown sibling.

I also messed up by being eco conscious & using those card, brown luggage labels (made my own Santa stamp on my 3D printer!) and they just make it look like a brown paper parcel you’d see Postman Pat delivering in Greendale. They just need brown twine to complete the vibe.

I did buy the Habitat bows & stringy stuff to jazz them up, but the wrapping string is made of paper & doesn’t curl, it rips when you’re trying to wrap it around the present & just looks well, a bit shit!

But heck, it can be recycled lol!

Thought I was organised this year but have at least three presents left to wrap! Hopefully get those done this morning if I can get the kids out of the way!
