Dc are teenagers so not so much to wrap this year fortunately. I’m on the last few things and that’s amazing for me as I’m usually up till all hours on Christmas Eve finishing it off. I’ve even put it in sacks ready. I can’t believe it!

I finished yesterday with a few last minute gifts, but it was hard wrapping with the DC in the house. I'm pleased it's all done now.

TheOrigRights · 23/12/2021 04:46

I have only wrapped the gifts that I have already given - my secret Santa gifts.

Working today so I shall get going Xmas Eve. All plans cancelled due to DS1 testing +ve so I only have to wrap theirs, though I will try and do the other family ones so I can put them round the tree.

RobertSmithsLipstick · 23/12/2021 05:03

I've thrown caution to the wind and decided I'm not wrapping this year.
They are in 2 black sacks, unwrapped, and that is how they're going to be given.

Twinkleylight · 23/12/2021 06:53

Wrapped as soon as I bought the gifts home so it's all done apart from my mum's birthday present.

Twinkleylight · 23/12/2021 06:58

I've also bought some thicker wrapping paper from the paper chase 50% sale for next year. I think using thicker wrapping paper prevents the presents from looking crap.

CoverYourselfInChocolateGlory · 23/12/2021 07:26

Everything except stocking presents! We are moving next year so I've bought minimal wrapping paper (recycled) and am using any leftover bits I find around the house to get rid of it all. I'm quite organised this year because I've been worried about supply chain issues, getting sick and I don't finish work until lunchtime Christmas Eve. Last weekend was a mad rush, but I'm hoping Christmas Eve will be a bit more chilled.

Largethighsbadeyes · 23/12/2021 07:32

No 🙈 got a lot done past night but I still have 2x huge box presents to wrap for DD and all DH presents. Family ones are done.

Worst thing is I've run out of paper and I hate it when the presents don't match. Also run out of ribbon. Too late for amazon and am avoiding the shops but think I may have to bite the bullet and go.

megletthesecond · 23/12/2021 07:34

Nothing wrapped. I'm working today. I'm burnt out tbh.
Teens are being a nightmare so I've huffed about how they'll be getting unwrapped gifts unless they muck in around the house.

delilahbucket · 23/12/2021 07:36

I made a good start yesterday but only about 1/3 of the way through so need to finish today really. Been working 15 hour days so not had time for much else.

GoodnightGrandma · 23/12/2021 07:38

No, not wrapped a thing yet !

DeepaBeesKit · 23/12/2021 07:41

Rub it in why don't you OP!
Things I have not done yet Shock

  • wrapped all DC stocking stuff
  • wrapped DH gift
  • iced christmas cake (I know, I know)
  • made christmas biscuits with kids to give their grandma
  • washed spare room bedding for arrival of said grandma
applecatchers36 · 23/12/2021 07:45

Nope done the majority and hope to get last bit done today and need to do a few last minute work things this afternoon but then want to sign off.
Then it will be packing luggage to go away Christmas Eve .

Chatwin · 23/12/2021 08:38

For those of you who finished wrapping in November, do you have DC and did they write their lists early and stick with that? Or do you buy presents you think they would like?

Chatwin · 23/12/2021 08:40

@caringcarer

I have been wrapping adult sons gifts who is coming home for Xmas from 10am until 3pm with only a quick break for lunch. I have still got younger sons, foster sons and Dh's pressies to wrap.
Wow what is he getting that takes 5 hours to wrap?!
noblegreenk · 23/12/2021 08:47

I'm usually still wrapping on Xmas eve, but I finished all my wrapping yesterday morning. It's a good feeling.

TheFairPrincess · 23/12/2021 08:48

I am almost done. Just one bigger present for littlest DC and a few stocking fillers to go.

I'm so glad I started early for once as my decision to also wrap all stocking fillers coupled with my incredibly slow wrapping pace would have meant there physically would not have been enough time to wrap all presents from DCs bedtime to Christmas morning Grin

RedHot22 · 23/12/2021 08:48

I’m doing mine today!
I love wrapping.

There will just be a couple tomorrow as last minute deliveries thanks to Amazon Prime

WeatherwaxOn · 23/12/2021 08:49

I haven't even started.

Soubriquet · 23/12/2021 08:49

2020nymph · 23/12/2021 09:04

DH and I are both working from home in different parts of the house. Found him watching a film as he didn't have work to do so gave him all the presents to wrap! 😂

Still need to wrap his though.

BiddyPop · 23/12/2021 09:04

I have a fair amount wrapped, but still need to buy something for 3 people, and retrieve 2 more from storage, and wrap all those. As well as make decisions on what is going under the tree for DD and wrap that (Santa doesn't wrap in this house). So I am ahead of myself this year.

Beautiful3 · 23/12/2021 09:07

I've wrapped all of mine bar one, that arrived yesrsrday.

Enko · 23/12/2021 09:24

No blooming Hermes is holding 2 presents hostage

AlwaysLatte · 23/12/2021 09:31

I was up till gone 3am wrapping most of it! I always try to be more organised every year, and always end up wrapping just a few days before!
