Despite starting thinking about Christmas in August(!) this year, I'm still running behind on most things. So I thought I'd start a thread of what people have left to do maybe to act as a prompt for me to actually do these things!

On my list:

  1. Buy write and send cards
  2. Sort nursery / school / cleaner gifts
  3. Finish wrapping
  4. Buy something for a family friend I feel obliged to but is difficult to buy for so I put it off every year
  5. Tidy the whole house - or at least start hiding stuff in cupboards
  6. Meal plan and finalise online shop
  7. Food bank

... and finish stuff off at work!

I'm sure there is more stuff!

Anyone else feel like they are running out of time?

Still got all my wrapping to do. How do you find time between work and a toddler? Then when your toddler is in bed your teenagers come downstairs and go to bed after you?? Ahh! It'll get done probably at 3am Christmas morning 🙄🙄🙄

Loads to do :(

Clean oven
Go to skip
Put away some toys for rotating so there is not so much out in anticipation of the new toys
Shampoo carpets
Buy presents for 3 people
Wrap EVERYTHING
Plan food shop 1 for the 18th and dinner shop for the 22nd

FlipFlops4Me · 17/12/2021 13:39

All the cards!!!

Three pressies to wrap - one not here yet and starting to worry.....

And I'm not even thinking about trying to get any household chores done, and I just know my boss will be emailing all weekend with work he wants done first thing Monday. I keep trying to explain that not all the work can be done first - of necessity one task will be first, one will be last and the rest somewhere in between. He rejects my reallity and invents his own.

  1. Track down a paw patrol annual for middle child
  2. Find a matching bloody B&M Santa sack for my youngest
  3. Buy remaining sweets for stocking
  4. Wrap the last half of the presents
  5. Deliver family gifts (if the postman ever delivers them to me lol)
  6. Xmas food shop for the perishable items
  7. TIDY lol

That's pretty much everything I think, 1 thing a day lol.

You can get the Paw Patrol annual on Prime @mam0918, it's £9 though which sounds expensive!

I need to:
Wrap all presents
Do online food shop for 23rd
Write + post cards
Write my cooking schedule for the dinner
Clean the house
Buy present + card for a kids party on 21st
Tidy upstairs and put a mountain of washing away
Do another mountain of washing

I've been ill all week so seriously behind where I wanted to be now!

Absolutely nothing, mums taking care of the shopping as she has a double discount day at her work.... changing the bedding at the weekend to Christmas bedding but they were due a change anyway.
