What do you have left to do?

Despite starting thinking about Christmas in August(!) this year, I'm still running behind on most things. So I thought I'd start a thread of what people have left to do maybe to act as a prompt for me to actually do these things!

On my list:

1. Buy write and send cards
2. Sort nursery / school / cleaner gifts
3. Finish wrapping
4. Buy something for a family friend I feel obliged to but is difficult to buy for so I put it off every year
5. Tidy the whole house - or at least start hiding stuff in cupboards
6. Meal plan and finalise online shop
7. Food bank

... and finish stuff off at work!

I'm sure there is more stuff!

Anyone else feel like they are running out of time?

Few presents to buy, stocking fillers, big food shop to do and that’s it! Can’t do any of that until I get paid on Weds though 😳😳

Not really as don’t let in how bard hard things are this year it’s like if I say it I’m accepting it if u get what I mean @sockfluffinthebath

Get food stash sorted out

Absolutely everything. I haven't even got an idea what we are going to eat nor when I am going to shop for it.

Wrap last few presents for family, my husband and the chidren. But something else for ex-H and wrap it.

Food shopping.

Make sure all gifts and cards are dispatched to correct places!

Send the cards that need to be posted.

Finish decorating the house.

Clean.

Find cards and write them then forget to post.
Still got 4 people to buy for.
Wrap everything.
Clean house.
Tidy house.
Get spare room ready for guests.
Update the food delivery.
Go and buy everything that didn't arrive.
Replace all the stuff I've eaten/drank.
Collect the meat.
Deliver gifts.
Do 4 days of work next week.
Try not to get covid.

I didn't do anything at all until a week ago. Got all the cards, posted some, got neighbours' to put through doors tomorrow. Everyone's presents bought and wrapped. Tree and decorations are up.

Just food to get, nearer the time. I don't bake or make anything - sod that, anyway, I'm recovering from a stroke, so nobody will expect it.

Possibly cards for new colleagues, will see what they do. Have purchased Secret Santa present.
Cleaning and ironing.
Beds.

I think you must all be quite young still, after 31 years of Christmases, I have pared things back, prepped and frozen anything I could make homemade at the beginning of November, I write fewer cards now,
and ordered the main bits for collection next Wednesday.
will buy the last of the fresh things then too.
I understand that when kids are young it's more compelling to try and produce 'the best Christmas ever' as the magazine articles would say.
but seriously as women we must stop trying to do it all, what matters is love and showing it, even more importantly, saying it to the people that matter to you.

I still have a few cards to write and three parcels to send.

Will need to go to the shops for anything that doesn’t come in my online shop or that I’ve forgotten to order. Also no idea what we’re eating mon/tue/wed next week because I only thought about the meals we had guests here for

Nothing really.
Dh will pick the turkey up on 23rd.
No carol services this year/parties :(
Got 2 x online grocery deliveries booked.
All cards posted, all gifts wrapped except Stocking gifts.
I thought 1 gift for ds1 wouldn't arrive in time but now it looks like it might
Ds2 finishes school today so I'll feel more able to chill out from tomorrow (no alarm!)

Oh, and I'm cleaning the oven today 🙄

Not bad! Last year I had a newborn and Christmas was a blur, feeling much more on top of things this year!

Have a few things to get from aldi, big online shop is coming next week but there’s a few bits I prefer from aldi.
Have all of the wrapping to do, I don’t even know where to start with it!
Need to buy family presents but it’s just a prime job so not a big deal.
Bought all of the DC’s presents so at least that’s sorted.
