And I’m up at 3:40am so thought I’d check out if there are any bargains that I need 😁

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Oh and also on books, my little ones all cut their teeth on things like Beast Quest and Dinosaur Cove. Essentially the same story retold with an interchangeable beast/dinosaur but nice and short, short chapters and large text. My youngest also loved Tom Gates books - they are big but loads of pictures (halfway between a comic and a book really), and they are very funny!
Anyone looking for a teen gift, I’ve just bought an Ifixit toolset for my ds. They’ve got free delivery on their own website for the starter kit but the sets are also on Amazon - store.ifixit.co.uk/products/the-starter-bundle
Thank you this looks great.

Looking for more ideas for older teens/ early 20’s for stocking ideas and inexpensive filler presents. Thank you

@oatmilkisntsobad

Thanks *@withiceplease* Which beauty boxes are people buying from look fantastic? I hate missing out on a bargain 🤣

2nd time writing this as my other post disappeared so apologies if it come up twice!

It's this beauty box here, but showing as stock coming soon at the moment. @Tamtam mentioned the code 40PLUS worked on it too Smile
Nearlyadoctor · 28/11/2021 08:45

@mummyof2boys30 - Ariat insulated boots are so warm, I’ve never had cold feet in mine walking or riding. Not cheap though - different styles and leg lengths.

Autumnleaves4 · 28/11/2021 08:47

@Figgrow

Sorry if this has been posted, but asos have a 20% off code that works on sale items:

HAPPYHAUL

Has anyone actually got this to work. It kept telling me the items in my basket didn’t qualify, after trying it again with a different email I eventually got around another 10% off my basket, no idea which items discounted as it didn’t show so obviously only about half the value of my basket got the extra 20% discount. I have the premier delivery linked to me regular email and no codes would work through that. All very odd.
oatmilkisntsobad · 28/11/2021 08:50

Thanks so much @Scoleah

Greenhand · 28/11/2021 08:50

My DD needs The Ordinary Nicinamide thingy and I wondered if there is a cheap way of buying it as I am online shopping only. Maybe if there is a gift for dad's girlfriend like gel nail polish - so best beauty codes around?

sittingonacornflake · 28/11/2021 08:52

Has anyone possibly got a very code they could please kindly share? I'm buying my first ever iron at the grand old age of 32. DS(3yo) is really starting to take pride in his appearance so felt it's time for me to step up!

I have just borrowed this bag for an EasyJet flight. I live close to the airport so packed it with a weeks stuff and tried it in the cage just to check. It fitted easily even when packed.
]]

Amazon only have it in pink but olive and blue are available.
@Trumpton @Elpheba I totally second these cases. We got them for our children about four years ago and they’re still going strong. We often travel hand luggage only and these hold absolutely loads. I use luggage organisers to help inside and there’s lots of space. The kids like that they can put their favourite soft toy in the harness on the outside and there’s a section on the top for book / kindle / tablet etc too. They are fine for EasyJet, Ryanair and easily hold a week’s worth of clothing for a child.

Search for minimax on eBay and you can often find a deal for buying multiple cases at the same time.

Hope that helps!

Famousthehero · 28/11/2021 08:55

Amazon have 20% vouchers which can apply to lottie dolls today - I’ve been watching the fossil hunter Lottie, which with the voucher was £19.12 from £23.99.
By no means the greatest bargain (I think they’ve been £16.99) but I’ve been watching for a while and think that’s the best I’ll do…

Froppysue · 28/11/2021 08:56

Lots of snow here this morning too!

@VividImaginationAgain that’s such a sweet story about the slippers your dmum bought you, hope my dd likes hers as much!

@Methenyouplus4 I’m going to a bigger primark on Tuesdays, I can look for the xl men’s for you if nobody’s found you any by then.

Elpheba · 28/11/2021 08:57

Thanks @Trumpton and @PastelGiraffe always amazing to have a personal recommendation and very reassuring to know it definitely fits in the cages at the airport! Will get hunting on eBay!

wavingwhilstdrowning · 28/11/2021 09:03

@Greenhand The ordinary is 23% off atm, ends wed deciem.com/en-gb/niod

wavingwhilstdrowning · 28/11/2021 09:04

I've had a weird time with Neom this year. I've ordered 3 pods. The first one from Next - canxcelled. Then 1 with Asos which 'went missing in the post' then I re ordered from Neom and the same thing happened! I've given up now.

Borris · 28/11/2021 09:12

I need inspiration for my last 2 presents.

 1. My 16 yo cousin - main gift of cash but I like a little something to open. Looking for something £10 or under. He likes art and male grooming (but not lynx). Doesn’t really like sweets/chocolate. A funny novelty would be ok.
 1. 24 year old cousin. She’s quite sophisticated. Again £10 or under.

Any ideas would be great.

Thank you, I love the idea of printing it off myself and making it more of a gift!

VaprousDropProfound · 28/11/2021 09:14

@thaegumathteth

Thanks *@sorryiasked* *@TableSetting and @Welcometothejingles*

It's for local kids so they're ok with cards etc, not allowed gift cards annoyingly.

Will try and find any shirt just hard to know what size to buy. Ds is 15 and his friends vary in height from 5ft 4 to 6 fr 6! Will definitely try for the card games booklet and batteries though.

Thanks again!

Oh Dear, you are all right, I thought it was too good to be true, I was multi tasking at the time. It was one of the recipients who sent me the link, I’ll have to see if I can return them. If anyone does find genuine ones at less than £99, I will be on the look out!

Look up Powder monogrammed bamboo socks. They’re absolutely beautiful, feel great, don’t roll down and come with the most luxurious gift bags. Might suit the 24 yo? Typically around £8 each but there might be a discount this weekend.

IggyAce · 28/11/2021 09:22

@oatmilkisntsobad the influencer code I shared is LFTFLYNDSEYM not sure how much it will discount but it’s usually slightly more than the one on the website.

boobybum · 28/11/2021 09:30

@Elpheba would these cases from Matalan work?
www.matalan.co.uk/products/search?q=suitcase%20kids

Not sure if it will work but the code NOV20 might take 20% off.

PeppaPigWorld · 28/11/2021 09:32

I third the minimax bags! They've been perfect for us. The mini bear passport is fab too. Ds loved his and always insisted on showing it at passport control. They were often a bit confused at first, but most really went along with it - one guy even stamped it. Ds was thrilled!

I'm also looking for suitcases, but we really need bigger cases now. Does anyone have any recommendations? Can go in the hold, so they don't need to be specific dimensions, but I don't want to end up with massive ones. Big enough to hold a week's worth of clothes for teens really. I've realised that their clothes are so much bigger now that we can't fit enough in our old cases! Any recommendations?

IggyAce · 28/11/2021 09:39

@lancslass17 turtle doves wrist warmer or fingerless gloves.
Mini tea/coffee hamper: nice mug tea/coffee/hot chocolate with nice biscuits.
Puzzle book or colouring book.
