@buckeejit I got the reading kindle not the kindle fire but the fire is also eligible for the trade in offer. The fire is android though so you’d have to download the android version of her apps

How did the trade in work? I was going to do this to get DH’s new kindle, but it said I would need to send the old one off to Amazon to have it appraised, and I figured that would make it too late for the BlackFriday discount.

@LastStarFighter I just posted on the new thread explaining we used the trade in service as well.

Unfortunately it is a little slow and can take a few weeks for it to be appraised and credited. We sent ours in the Friday and had the credit added to our account on the Tuesday though (although I did ping customer services to see if they could speed it up so we didn't miss out on Black Friday prices - they said they couldn't but miraculously the next day it was complete!).

I think realistically it would be too late now for the black Friday reductions unless you sent it tomorrow and they somehow processed it really quickly before the offers end
