Poor old Gary - he’s gone from money off his concerts to being drowned in hot chocolate 🤣. Thanks for the title @iklboo Grin

For those waiting on owl pellets you have to remember that many of these places are run entirely by volunteers.

Not only do they have to wait for an owl to produce said pellet (one a day typically per owl, they may not have many they can use) they also have to sterilise it so that it is safe to handle and then package and send as well as their normal duties. Be patient with them. Am sure they weren't expecting a sudden influx of interest Smile

Essexmate · 17/11/2021 13:15

Also just realised nearly everything I’ve asked for advice on has been food related! Guess my lot are all alike 🤣

BunnyBerries · 17/11/2021 13:15

Oh I'm so pleased people have received their Lancôme orders!

DPD guy just came twice in the time slot, first time with someone else's differently addressed parcel (saying is this yours?!), then second time said he can't find it, after looking in the back of the van.. so I phoned them and the warehouse can't find and will check the van when it comes back. Shock

Can I please ask anyone who received theirs...is it obviously a box from Lancôme?

RainbowPhilosophy · 17/11/2021 13:17

@YouAreEnough

Benefit Cosmetics have 50% off full sized blusher. This also stacks with a 20% off Black Friday code and two free samples offer.
Thanks for this. Went for a browse not expecting to buy anything and have 3 items on the way for me and 2 friends - should have cost £82.50 but I got them for £33, free postage and 2 free samples. Bargain! I also went through Quidco as they have 9.6% cashback with Benefit.

Rather niche unless you live in or wish to travel to Newcastle but the bakery recommended by the Hairy Bikers do courses. They are a social enterprise and their stotties are yum!

A bit of an odd gift but I’m getting one for teen DSD as I’ve seen her look at them on TikTok : mini fridge, used either for drinks & snacks or skincare.

This one is currently about £40, depending on colour, but there’s a £6 off voucher right now:

@Essexmate

Good afternoon bargain hunters. I have a conundrum. Need a gift for someone who loves food but is also now trying to lose weight/be a bit healthier. I want something nice but that won’t appear rude iyswim
Do you have a TKMaxx near you? They always have bargain chia seeds, cacao nibs, oils etc and skinny syrups. The packaging is usually gorgeous and impressive.

Or go to an Asian supermarket and stock up on Chinese and Japanese food products for cheap

Thank you for this! One bought for the make up kit I am getting for my mum, and one for me! Fab price
torthecatlady · 17/11/2021 13:33

I'm on a bit of a mission for the final Christmas gift for DS! It's "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker" for the Nintendo Switch...

The best price I have found is £27.99 from Amazon or Argos. I keep bidding on second hand copies on eBay, although the final price ends up pretty similar to the brand new ones. Hmm

NotEnoughTime · 17/11/2021 13:33

evtheria

I have just ordered one of these mini fridges for my DS.

Many thanks Flowers

whereareyousellotape · 17/11/2021 13:33

Does anyone have a discount code for Zavvi please I'm spending £70 on a Lego set which will hopefully be my final buy for my DS.

I just got mine in a completely plain brown cardboard box.
Gladysrocker · 17/11/2021 13:37

IWOOT kids Jurassic park t shirt £2.99 delivered when you enter the code freedel. Shows as £6.99 but once you add the code it takes it down to £2.99!

mumonthehill · 17/11/2021 13:37

Also just had Lancôme order and a small plain brown box arrived. Free gift very small but a lovely treat.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 17/11/2021 13:38

@DinosaurOfFire

Oh also, has anyone seen a white cat onesie for age 7-8? One that could be used for a costume as well as pyjamas, so with a hood with ears, and preferably a long tail. Not that my daughter is asking for much! Thanks.
@DinosaurOfFire

Could this work?

www.mandco.com/fleece-cat-onesie-(2-12yrs)-grey/345860100200318.html?glCountry=GB&glCurrency=GBP&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIl6fGrcGf9AIVUOR3Ch0i8ACEEAQYAyABEgJ5pfD_BwE

It’s described as grey but might be white with grey on, not sure it has a tail though

Carrie76 · 17/11/2021 13:42

I’m looking to buy a kindle, can anyone remember what they dropped to on Black Friday last year? The basic model

CamdenLurker · 17/11/2021 13:43

Thanks for the Escentual code - got some Pupa make up bargains for dd2.

I placed my Lancôme order on Sunday but no sign of a dispatch email yet.

sorryiasked · 17/11/2021 13:44

Having ignored all the alcohol posts, I now find I need a small bottle of coffee gin, max £20 delivered.
I've found two or three that I think will be ok, but wondered if anyone had seen a bargain or discount for online sites?

Carrie76 · 17/11/2021 13:48

@TuftyMarmoset how about a Polly pocket set? Nice and small for bringing home

buckeejit · 17/11/2021 13:48

@Newdad19 you might be worth looking on eBay for jo malone -they usually do a good spin game thing in the summer where you get something good with a purchase & many sell on the excess stuff on eBay

QueenOfCakeandCoffee · 17/11/2021 13:50

Love crafts discount code in case anyone can use it. I got myself a lovely cross stitch

@torthecatlady worth keeping an eye on cdkeys a they sometimes have offers.

buzzing · 17/11/2021 14:01

Am loving these threads - thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.

Couple of requests - are the HC velvetisers likely to go on offer for Black Friday? Just wondering what price I might expect to get.

Am considering Gravitrax for DD11 - what do people think of it? She's quite technical, loves building Lego, marble runs.

And suggestions of something on a similar track for younger DD9 - she's a tough one to buy for but I'm looking for a "big" main present.

And, finally!, recomendations for thermals for DH - he's working outdoors and really struggling with the cold.

Thanking you all muchly and sending Christmas fairy dust to you all (I got it cheap Grin )

BunnyBerries · 17/11/2021 14:02

Thank you @mumonthehill and @Caliexpidocioussuper
Happy to report, box has now magically been found and delivered! Grin

It is indeed a plain brown box, Lancôme just printed on the label.

PeachTea1 · 17/11/2021 14:04

@buzzing I got some thermals from Lidl last year and they're brilliant! Both my partner and I got a base layer and I'm pretty sure they were less than £10 each. I believe they're back instore tomorrow.
