Thanks @Bezzi for the title. Poor old link being colicky 🤣

@Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo

Sorry, it didn't make sense.

Hype do 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 etc.

I held the 5/6 hype jumper up against a 5-6 M&S jumper and they were the same size. So if your child would normally be in a 6-7 M&S jumper, the 5/6 hype might be a bit small.

So I think to potentially size up if they are in a 6-7 or 8-9.

I hope that makes sense! Sorry!

I can't believe they were £29 though - amazing!

Thank you whoever mentioned the Dunelm Santa Oodie. I've been trying to track down a couple of their plain ones for a few weeks and they have been showing as OOS. Just checked after that reminder and they are still unavailable but they now have different ones with sloths, rainbows and clouds. Got 2 x sloths coming via click and collect to save postage so that's another 2 presents ticked off.

@Room4onemore my 15yo DS so far has
Nike trainers
North Face Washbag
Razor, shave gel, moisturiser
Crease protectors
US snacks
Kobe phone case
Phone charger
Guide book for upcoming basketball trip

It all feels very grown up compared to last year

lancslass17 · 06/11/2021 08:24

@guiltynetter I got my Ds one of these in lockdown.

@Isabellabasil

Anyone finding the QVC Hotel chocolat comes up saying it can't be shipped to your area? I'm in London so doubt that's the case...!
I'm on the London Essex border and ordered it no problem. It does seem to me that there might be a few glitches with QVC at the moment though with the Hotel Chocolat deal showing for some people as sold out or advance order I think and some having issues using a referral code.

There is a sale on at Chewie Cat which includes this Snowflake teether for £3 with free delivery. Might be a nice stocking filler for a baby.

Oneborneverydecade · 06/11/2021 08:46

Thank you @TinyTroubleMaker and everyone else who replied about the Aldi hot chocolate maker

Those Hype goody bags seem like fantastic value

Yep! It did that for me too

@Haudyourwheesht

Any thoughts on Guess Who for a fairly mature 4.5 year old? We'd like to get her a game but she's not a good loser..!
Guess Who is fine for a 4.5 year old. It’s also an easy game to control the ratio of winning to losing as the adult can obviously fix it. There is also a version with the people on one side and animals on the other. My DD prefers the animals.

Now if you want a brutal, tear inducing game then you need Scaredy Cat by Orchard Toys. That bastard cat hangs around until the end and takes away all of the birds. Makes me want to cry sometimes.

@Lightswitch123
I have a Charlie McLeod dry robe for wild swimming. My friend who I swim with has a dryrobe. We both LOVE ours! Look up Rachel Andrews; everyday athlete on YouTube; she has videos comparing all the different dry robes so you can see what would work best for you.

Thank you @charlieweasley for saying about the dunhelm hoodies. A rainbow and sloth one ordered. Hopefully they are nicer than the primark one I got myself and dd1 (needed adult). The kids one for dd2 was lovely but the ladies doughnut print one was tight fitting and uncomfortable. For reference I'm a size 12 5"8 and bought the M/L it barely covered my thighs. And pockets were on the sides rather than a pouch.

For the dinosaur mad 3 year old how about some logs and wood with a tuff tray. I work in a preschool and set up the dinosaurs often like this and the kids love it. Sometimes we add water, coloured rice, mud, sand or other messy stuff. Its great for messy play as its plastic so washes away. You can also get mats that fit inside, we have an artificial grass one, forest floor ones.
There's also a company that makes elasticated covers if you wanted to leave it outside.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 06/11/2021 09:10

Oh and don't want to put a downer on the hype bags but I had the worst experience with them and despite always buying their bags I would never use them again. I ordered a girls lucky dip, it was missing an item, had a unsealed used looking bottle (which were advertised as free gifts and not even available to buy separately) and mostly boys clothing and a dark brown bag. It said 'boys' on the hoodie, joggers and tshirts. My dd is very petite and girly so wouldnt wear them and they were too wide and big on her. I tried to push for a refund or replacement and it was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I didnt even get my missing item and in the end resold for much lower cost as after 2 months of trying to sort it out I gave up. So be careful and only buy on a really good deal, be prepared to get boys clothing if you order a girls one as apparently if it says boys it's unisex. (I wouldn't have had an issue if the clothing stated unisex but it didn't on the packaging).

I now buy my bags elsewhere and avoid the company at all costs.

@Room4onemore where are you getting your US snacks from

Tightsonmyboat · 06/11/2021 09:22

Someone just mentioned playdoh dinosaurs (sorry can't remember who) word of warning, do not get the Dino slime! It is super sticky, stains, is difficult to wash of hands and even took the varnish off my kitchen worktops Angry

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 06/11/2021 09:23

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts I got the dunelm santa one the other day and it is massive. It comfortably fits my hubby so you shouldn't have any issues. Wasn't bought for him but he has decided he is wearing it to last day of work before Christmas Grin

Just a little bit of advice - when I picked mine up in store (ot was the last one so I was having it regardless) it looked oddly shapen in places - it isn't but it did have plastic tags at various places that needed cutting and removing (I think to stop people trying them on in store) so don't worry if you pick them up and think they look odd. Check for the little plastic bits. I thought i had got all mine and then got stuck putting it on GrinGrin

CharlieWeasley · 06/11/2021 09:26

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts fingers crossed. I haven't seen them but saw another print instore and although I didn't try it on, it would have come at least as far as my knees (I'm 5'6") and looked massive. Really soft too, so I hope these are the same. I'm heading to collect today so we'll see!

The Dunelm hoodies look fab! All the ones I’m looking at are oos now through so might try and pop into a store at some point.

If anyone sees a size 4 or 5 premier league ball (like the one in the photo) in stock anywhere please shout! Ordered yesterday from JD Sports and now had an email to say order cancelled Hmm. Oos at Nike too and DS birthday in a couple of weeks and it’s all he wants!

Anyone have an M&S 20% off code? Nothing coming up on my sparks except specific offers that are useless for what's in my basket? Any tips to reduce cost greatly appreciated - on very tight student budget at the moment! Longing for the days of the plentiful 20% codes arriving in the post!!! TIA 💐

orinocosfavoritecake · 06/11/2021 09:34

Usborne do some lovely lift the flap dino books, and I second the orchard rec too.

Exploding kittens big hit with my 8 year old.

And yes to Outfoxed - Hoot Owl Hoot and Max the Cat are good coops for little ones too.

Has anyone played the coop ‘Battle of Hogwarts’ board game?

weebarra · 06/11/2021 09:40

Does anyone have a code for Wicked Uncle kids games website? I've got £85 worth of stuff in my basket and can't bear to pay full price!
