Thanks @Bezzi for the title. Poor old link being colicky 🤣

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

For those looking for Dinosaur toys I've just spotted this on Amazon that looks a bit different, and there's a nice 20% off voucher too.

@MerylSqueak I've bought some Govee strip lights for my eldest, I got the remote controlled rather than the alexa enabled ones, and 20m length which comes in two rolls, which share the same transformer so enough to go around her bedroom and you can cut the extra off. I think I paid £18 on an offer on Amazon.

MerylSqueak · 07/11/2021 17:13

Thanks @pseudocream3

Thanks @CeeceeBloomingdale . Thing is, I still have a cleanser and toner from about 2 years ago! It’s annoying that I only actively want about half of the set!

@Carrie76 no code! It's a general 'Red Week' offer on their website, 20% off or 30% if you're a member :-)

IsThisIt2021 · 07/11/2021 18:05

Has anyone seen / know the best place to buy Harry Potter book set? DS2 seems set on that being what he wants from Santa

Fab thank you!! Trip to Primark is a must for tomorrow now!

psuedocream3 · 07/11/2021 18:21

Oooh the the extreme throw throw burrito game arrived today and I am very pleased. I haven't bought or played the original version but I know my kids are going to enjoy attacking each other with giant burritos whether they enjoy the game or not Grin

I'm still tempted by the cat and mouth game and the exploding minions game, I think they are only on offer until tomorrow.

sepsisandAKI · 07/11/2021 18:33

@Voiceofreason92 thank you! We have a couple of games like this already so was looking for something a bit less tedious Hmm
Will keep looking!

sepsisandAKI · 07/11/2021 18:48

@IsThisIt2021 there always seem to be a lot of HP books on Facebook marketplace which can be in good condition and cheap if you’re not needing brand new. World of books is another place to look.

It isn't a box set but when I repurchased the full set I got them from Asda for 2 books for £7 so it was £25 for full set (£4 for the odd book)
NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 07/11/2021 18:57

It’s just possible that the things I want on my lists just haven’t come up yet, but is anyone else finding a complete lack of bargains on the whole this year? Still a while to go but most of the deal stuff seems to be things that have been on here for years. Not surprising I suppose if there is a lack of stock in the UK.

nicky2512 · 07/11/2021 19:00

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads And @Scout2016
I used a referral from the other thread for the qvc preorder of Hotel Chocolat. I was buying a set of the Joe and Seph popcorn crackers too which took me over £50.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 07/11/2021 19:00

Also, I do want to try and get those Aldi lights on Thursday as well- I have the proper pickwick ones that have the most amazing glow but they bloody fail all the time (bringing back memories of my dad cursing at the lightbulbs as a child)

BlueFlavour · 07/11/2021 19:02
@Scout2016 I don't think the qvc referal code can be used on pre orders (which i think the hotel chocolat was)

Also for anyone buying Slushie syrups home bargains have had a pack of 2 syrups in for £8 (same as linked above by @Dogmatix34) Also think I saw them in The Range (but not sure on price there)

The Range also had a colour changing slushie glass I think that was £4
Thank you @Justhereforthechristmasthreads and @Dogmatix34

They have the complete set for £34.99 in smyths. www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/brand/harry-potter-brand/harry-potter-the-complete-collection-7-book-box-set/p/191077

Or maybe look for excellent condition second hand and wrap up in a retro briefcase or box with a wand, sweets (you can get printables on pinterest), bookmark and hogwarts acceptance letter. Maybe even a cuddly hedwig 😁

I did that a few years ago I made Newts case for dd1.

ImAbsolutelyTwatted · 07/11/2021 19:21

@guiltynetter we got DS the schleich (sp?) dinosaur research station from smyths. It's pricey but he absolutely loves it and I thought very good quality. Now he's got his eye on the new volcano to match.

Puffalicious · 07/11/2021 19:21

@Howmanysleepsnow

I bought this pogo stick last year for ds9 (148cm tall) it works well enough for his younger, very skinny brother to bounce easily and is sturdy enough for me to have a go too!
Thanks for this!
Carrie76 · 07/11/2021 19:22

@1stTimeMama thanks

Yeknom · 07/11/2021 19:23

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight I agree! I've usually finished by now but don't feel like I've even put a dent in my shopping this year. I like to have everything wrapped before November is out to be able to really enjoy December but I can't see it happening this year.

runningkatie · 07/11/2021 19:24

@Elphaba17

Could anyone recommend a lightbox please? I know they were everywhere a couple of years ago but don't seem to be as popular now. DD saw one in smyths but its quite small so I think she'd want a bigger one for the phrases she would want to display on it.
We got ours from Hobbycraft in Feb of this year. It's 3 lines long so not tiny.
