Thanks @Bezzi for the title. Poor old link being colicky 🤣

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

I'd appreciate an Argos code that covers a £45 spend. Have seen a lovely little table and stools for the toddler area I'm sorting for my littlest one.

Someaddedsugar · 07/11/2021 15:45

@clpsmum I don't know if they do Black Friday offers but they definitely have sales at the usual times of year. I've bought quite a few it was in their sales.

clpsmum · 07/11/2021 15:51

@Someaddedsugar great! It's a Christmas present to myself so can wait until the January sales!! Thanks x
Good offer on slush puppy machine at Robert Dyas. Extra £5 off with code CC21DM

Thank you so much for this! Bought one for my DSis (who is late twenties! 😂) she is going to be thrilled!

1stTimeMama · 07/11/2021 15:57

Also, lots of thanks to the poster who mentioned the Liverpool FC sale. My Dad is a lifelong supporter, and I've just kitted him out in some lovely news bits. The 20% also applies to already reduced items too, which made a fab t-shirt £9.60 reduced from £25!

Sorry I have another question - a charity gift collection place near me has rucksacks on the suggested gifts list.
Are Hype rucksacks cool and desirable amongst some kids? I am thinking of taking advantage of the offer. But should I?I see lots of kids round here with Hype school bags, but we are in a poor area so I wondered if they would have preferred a different brand, but Hype were what's affordable because they often have lots of offers on? Even as a kid I didn’t know what was cool brand wise. I hope I have explained that OK and not sounded offensive. It's not that I am rich and don't know what less well off people like, I am not at all, it's that I don't know about brands or youth trends and don't know any kids older than 7.

@Isabellabasil
I recently ordered from here based on a recommendation from an earlier thread. They took a while to arrive (around a week) but I have to say they were worth it, smelt amazing and worked really well the colours were very vibrant.

@PinkDaydreams about 6 in this house

Got ours from Asda - great wooden toys. And some bits from Aldi and little trading company

Just got an Ariel mermaid light up singing doll from Amazon for £17.00 instead of £24.99 (looks great)

Voiceofreason92 · 07/11/2021 16:02

@sepsisandAKI we have Junior Catan. It’s a good game but it’s very long to play. You have to be in the mood for it. We enjoy board games, but my 7 and 5 year old rarely choose to play it. That said, they enjoy it when we do play

Trudee · 07/11/2021 16:03

Thank you @Famousthehero for the owl pellet link. I've just ordered 2 for my dc's stockings Grin

PinkDaydreams · 07/11/2021 16:09

Thank you for the kitchen advice. I saw a Hape cook and serve in tk maxx reduced to £30 but not sure if DS nearly 4 will get much use from it. But I have since read the reviews and loads of people saying that the oven door falls off 🙄 I liked the look of it as it extends bigger and folds in smaller which would work perfectly in our small house but not liking the sound of it falling to bits!
I'll ask nursery if he plays with the kitchen there

Dogmatix34 · 07/11/2021 16:14
@Dogmatix34 that’s a great offer. DD has never had a slush puppy because she’s got allergies and wherever we have been have said cross contamination risk. Would love her to try one!

Dd2 loves them…what do you add to make them the colours? Is it just squash or something else?
I am planning to get some slush puppy syrups to go with it. Notice in the reviews a lot of people talk about alcoholic slushies so may try them for DH and I also.

RJnomore1 · 07/11/2021 16:19

@clpsmum I’m waiting for a sake there too 😁

Number109 · 07/11/2021 16:26

@PinkDaydreams I’ll be near a tiger tomorrow if you want me to look for gingerbread men for you.

BlueFlavour · 07/11/2021 16:29

@Scout2016
Imho Hype are still cool. 12 yo ds has some t shirts and backpack. I think they come up small though. He’s a slim boy, and I get age 14 which fits him perfectly.
I haven’t had the lucky dip bags, but I think they can be really good.

BlueFlavour · 07/11/2021 16:29

@Dogmatix34
Could I ask which syrups you are going to get please?

PinkDaydreams · 07/11/2021 16:31
@PinkDaydreams I’ll be near a tiger tomorrow if you want me to look for gingerbread men for you.
That's really kind of you thank you so much! I'll have a nosey in the shops and get back to you if that's ok? I'm going in first thing so I'll message you early on Grin

Sadiequeenofscots · 07/11/2021 16:40

Yes I would say about age 6 my DD’s stopped using the toy kitchen. DD1 was older because she played with DD2

Sadiequeenofscots · 07/11/2021 16:42

@Scout2016 yes Hype is popular in my DD’s class. She is primary 7 (year 6) and 11. She had a hype bad last year. Really she could have used it again this year but she chose to buy a new one with saved up pocket money. She is still using her hype bottle though which is one of the best bottles we have ever bought - so robust and easy to clean. You can buy them to match the bags

StopGoQuitStart · 07/11/2021 16:42
@StopGoQuitStart I had to link my nectar and Argos accounts. IIRC when you go to pay it gives "options to pay" and one is with nectar points.
Thank you

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/11/2021 16:43

Hype bags would be fine for a charity collection. I gave my unwanted lucky bag stuff in the work one

Scout2016 · 07/11/2021 16:46

Thanks for the Hype feedback everyone. Sounds like a safe bet for many ages.

MeredithGreyishblue · 07/11/2021 16:54

Hype still fine, I think!
They're decent bags too. I get the mystery packs and we use them for family stuff as well as my (suddenly really choosy) eldest for school.
I also rate the hoodies for kids. The ones we have are good and thick.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 07/11/2021 17:01

@Scout2016 I don't think the qvc referal code can be used on pre orders (which i think the hotel chocolat was)

Also for anyone buying Slushie syrups home bargains have had a pack of 2 syrups in for £8 (same as linked above by @Dogmatix34) Also think I saw them in The Range (but not sure on price there)

The Range also had a colour changing slushie glass I think that was £4
