If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

The sho bottle lids have a sip hole in don't they so they've got to be kept upright, or have I got that wrong? That's what's put me off buying one.

LostMyRubySlippers · 03/11/2021 09:16

@WisestIsShe

I'm looking for plain glass baubles for the tree, if anyone has seen any? I'm a cm and we use them to make hand print crafts for the parents. Can be pearlised or possible have a little bit of something inside but ideally as plain as possible. Usually m&s. have something but not this year.
Maybe Hobbycraft?
Changingagain · 03/11/2021 09:29

@KG1145 have you signed up for character.com emails? I don't think there's a code atm but they tend to have a couple of offers a week so it's worth signing up and just waiting until there's one that suits. Usually it's a set percentage off pyjamas, or super hero items etc. yesterday though there was a flash sale of 40% off everything. Everytime I've bought from them I've been able to get what I'm after reduced within a few weeks.

Unihorn · 03/11/2021 09:36

Argos Firesticks are reduced
Just had a notification to say the Firestick Lite is £16.99 and the others are reduced too.

@KG1145

Hi. Has anyone seen any discount codes for character.com?

Im after some character pj's (super wings ones) for my son so any other similar shop recommendations would do too!

Thanks!

They had a 40 or 50% off a couple of days ago, I bet they will do it again.

Keep an eye out.

Code SAVEMORE gives £10 off £60 and £20 off £100 at the entertainer

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 03/11/2021 10:21

Just a reminder to check your sparks offers - I had 15% off clothing and home.

Ordered FIL a dressing gown and some pjs, as I had spent £30 I ordered the advent calendar for me for £40.
Contents look really good (allegedly worth £300) - would probably split down nicely for stocking fillers

Thanks for this! I always forget about checking their offers on the Sparks card.

@Justyou

Neom delivery pushed back to Saturday now
Mine too. I don’t think we’re going to receive them.
Thisisbatshit · 03/11/2021 10:39

I ordered this a while agk- just a warning though. Its not that snow like stuff you see at Christmas markets it is white slime. Which is fine- as long as you know that's what you are getting. The reviews suggest many people were injured because they put it on their grass and it was very slippy Hmm

Anyway- just so you are all aware!

Billyandemily · 03/11/2021 10:44

Thankyou for the micro scooter discounts

clpsmum · 03/11/2021 10:55

@Minionbums I have a coffee cup and the little gap but that you drink out of doesn't close so you can't fill it and throw it in a big. I didn't realise this when I bought them 😫

sorryiasked · 03/11/2021 10:55

@Minionbums and @PinkDaydreams the original Sho bottle and the fortis travel mug are leak proof.

sorryiasked · 03/11/2021 10:57

@WisestIsShe if you search for "clear glass baubles" there are lots of packs on ebay/amazon. Although you might want to consider plastic if you're doing them for homes with little ones?

Yeknom · 03/11/2021 11:03

Does anyone have any recommendations for Hot Wheels track? Are they all as big as they look in pictures? Are they flimsy/easy breakable? Looking for something for my 3.5 godson. Thanks!

sorryiasked · 03/11/2021 11:03

Amazon have got a few barbie deals today including these

I think hot wheels track might be a bit flimsy for a 3 year old, it’s quite tricky to put together

Vetch toot toot sings all the bloody time in a very annoying way but would probably be easier for a child that age to play with

TheBigFish · 03/11/2021 11:26

My mezze legend kits have shipped! They are not stuck in the Bay of Biscay (or if they were they are now unstuck!). Woo hoo!

Also my giant sloth from Aldi arrived yesterday. I LOVE him. Still waiting on my We're Brickin It order though and getting nervous as to where it is.

ShoppingBasket · 03/11/2021 11:28

star wars There is a remote control Yoda down from £70 to £34. I used the £5 voucher so got it for £29. There is also a yoda in a bag that is half price which looks really cute There is only 12 hours left on the deal though. Amazon

Changingagain · 03/11/2021 11:30

@Yeknom yes they are big!
The sets that contain loose bits of track such as the loop the loop ones are flimsy, my ds quickly broke one at about that age. However, we have the very large garage with the shark in and a few smaller "all in one piece" style sets and they're pretty durable. Dd2 has made a beeline for the big garage every time she's been in ds's room since she could crawl and it's not broken yet. It is huge though and very popular when his friends are around.

Yeknom · 03/11/2021 11:38

Thankyou @BernardBlackMissesLangCleg and @Changingagain. I know he has some toot toot things already and just thought a step up could work. I'll have a look at the fixed sets - That shark one really does look huge!

Changingagain · 03/11/2021 11:43

@Yeknom sorry I just realised it's for your godson not your son. I wouldn't buy anything that size, or something that's the start of a collection rather than a stand alone toy for someone else's child unless the parents asked for it.
If he's into cars, maybe a "my first" style remote control car, or ds was given a car and dinosaur similar to these at about that age which he loved.

The track can be quite flimsy and come apart easily so the bigger sets might be too much for a 3 year old. They also take up a lot of room. We have the big garage and it's great but I just don't have the space for more. I got DS the hot wheels blastin rig from tesco this year, its relatively small and also doubles up as a storage unit for some cars. It's £12.50 clubcard price at the moment.
Elphaba17 · 03/11/2021 11:46

yeknom this is the rig
