@Mumto3thatsme

Just a heads up - your first name and the area you live in is on your photo. I've reported it, although the heads up on the book is fab, thank you! 😊

@IDontDrinkTea

In case anyone else is also missing their Beer52 box of the one off case of 20: I rang this morning as it’s been 2 weeks since I ordered and normally they’re super speedy with dispatch. They said they were a bit overwhelmed with the number of orders they received but they are working through as quickly as they can. They’ve reassured me mine should be with me within the next few days!
@IDontDrinkTea. Ooops I rang them too, same as you ordered 2 weeks ago, and they said the same to me. 👍
A recommendation from another thread, shower steamers (similar to bath bombs but for the shower). This site came recommended, and they look fab. Bubble and Bathe.

Does anyone know of real life shops to buy these from please as I'd like to smell then?! Lush have shower bombs but they're different to a steamer.

Can anyone recommend a pair of decent bluetooth ear pods that would work with an iPhone 7, ideally under £50ish?

Doh, thankyou!

@DockOTheBay

The Pizza one is also a great price
Oohhh I'm tempted! 🙈
MarshmallowsOnToast · 02/11/2021 14:08

That's the Melissa & Doug pizza oven.

Crapbags · 02/11/2021 14:09

@lolarabbit Thanks for the curry’s code just managed to get £5 off Mario kart for DS!

Those that are recommending the board game ticket to ride which one is a good starting point? I’m sold on the idea but didn’t realise there were so many variations! Europe, London, New York, and more🥴 I’d be playing with an eight year old and a ten year old if that makes any difference?

Crapbags · 02/11/2021 14:11

I can definitely recommend the Melissa and Doug pizza maker brought for my 3 year old last Christmas and it’s still played with now. He also has the smoothie maker and sandwich maker and loves them too. They are well made and very durable. Even older DC’s (8&10) enjoy playing it with him!

Billyandemily · 02/11/2021 14:17

Hi does anyone know any offers for micro scooters? I've just decided my 1 yr old would like one with seat and steering handle x

Motherofplants · 02/11/2021 14:22

If anyone ordered from Hearst magazines subscriptions way back when and hasn't received anything, I chased them last week and they had seemingly forgotten to send out my gift (calendar, Xmas special, diary etc) and I've now received it. So do chase them if you're missing those bits!

Delahot · 02/11/2021 14:22

Any recommendations for a nice Christmas front door mat.

Also any men’s mule/slip on comfy fluffy slippers. Request for a gift that isn’t ‘old man type’. Help!

MissCherryCakeyBun · 02/11/2021 14:36

Anyone know of any AncestryDNA codes? They are currently reduced to £59 for the standard test but wondered if there was any free shipping or anything about Grin

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 02/11/2021 14:40

@Crapbags start with Europe. You can expand later on

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 02/11/2021 14:45

Crapbags Go for Europe. If you think only two or three will ever play you could go for the Scandinavian one though.

You need to start with Europe, US (but I think it's a bit boring!) or Scandinavia because they're the only ones that come with everything. The expansion packs need pieces from them to be played.

@SapereAude

Oh! It must have been a glitch- on Saturday both sets (the 4 piece and the 12 piece) were showing at the same price- now the 12 piece is showing, as you say, at £99. The website was being really weird and kept emptying my basket of the 2 sets (both 12 pieces obvs) and that's probably why! Buggery. (And of course I mean ecookshop Grin unless we want Christmas 🎄 face cream, which tbf, I'd probably try as well!)
😂 me too!
Dolphintrainer · 02/11/2021 14:58

@Arthien I looking for the exact same - decent ear pods to use with the iPhone 7. Hopefully someone can recommend some for us 🤞🏻

mummymummymummummum · 02/11/2021 14:59

No idea if this is legit or not. Hot Deals have shared these images of Sainsburys Toy Sale prices. But no prices?! I guess it's the toys going in the sale.

Toy sale is due 10-16th November
@CarrieMoonbeams what a lovely thing you’re doing - it will make Christmas very special for those kids. The gifts sound absolutely lovely, anyone would be pleased to get that (pyjamas a book and a game? Me please!!) xx
You're absolutely right @Minionbums, sounds like my idea of a perfect day! Actually the only thing that would be missing from that for me is hot chocolate, so I've just ordered a couple of cute wee mugs and some sachets of hot chocolate too. Perfect!

A few people have messaged me asking about the charity and if they could donate too - one lovely person even offered to buy a couple of really beautiful Christmas books to add to my parcels. (I had a little cry at that point, how kind people are on this thread.)

Sadly, there will be charities in every area looking for similar things, so if you're thinking about it too, just search for "[your county] charities Christmas", or something like that. Your local Women's Aid will probably put out an appeal later on this month too.

Dolphintrainer · 02/11/2021 15:03

@lolarabbit thanks for the curry’s deal. I took advantage of that one last year, and was hoping they’d repeat it. Got Luigi’s mansion for £5 less than anywhere else and that seems to never go on offer. Thank you

thaegumathteth · 02/11/2021 15:03

Does anyone have a Claire's code by any chance? I signed up to the newsletter and they said they'd send a discount code but they haven't. I've tried just and FAB15 which were 2 codes I found online but neither worked.

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 02/11/2021 15:04

I reckon that could be right @mummymummymummummum as in my sainsburys yesterday I noticed they had moved some big toys and put them together including the chad valley toys among others mentioned on your list

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 02/11/2021 15:08

@Arthien and @Dolphintrainer you can use any Bluetooth ones I think. I do with the SE at any rate.

I wanted them for exercising, so didn't want anything too expensive. I think mine were from a brand called mpow, and my DSis has enacfire. I think they were about £35 (possibly with a voucher) and we've both found them good. They come in a little case that charges them.

Ideally you want ones that have a microphone on both ear pieces, so you can use either or both for phone calls (DSis's only answer in one ear).

Rockhopper81 · 02/11/2021 15:25

@Arthien and @Dolphintrainer

I have these ear buds, and I bought a pair for my nephew for his birthday back in September too - we both like them, find them comfortable, and they have good sound quality. I use mine with an iPhone 11, he did use them with an iPhone 7, but he has a Samsung-something now (don't know android!), and they work equally as well.

I think they were £20 when I bought them, so they've gone up a bit since then.
