Thanks @bizzey for the title, which tickled me! The day of the triffids? Nope, it’s the day of the cardboard boxes!

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@sorryiasked for quiet fidget toys the mood octopus is great or marble mashers, squishies or mochi ones. Tangle toys. Slinky. Reversible sequin toys.

Tinysnickers · 21/10/2021 14:39

I am so behind so please forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but TKmaxx have some klean kanteens in stores if anyone needs a stocking filler. It appears they have the small ones with a sippy lid, or the 12oz insulated ones with a sport cap, in kids designs.

Tinysnickers · 21/10/2021 14:41

Also, I bought this game yesterday in Poundland for a whole pound, which is a big saving on the amazon price. It is cheaper elsewhere but £1 beats them all. Might be rubbish though, won't find out until Christmas Grin

Rockhopper81 · 21/10/2021 14:43

@Tinysnickers

I looked at that game on Amazon, glad I didn't buy it now as I shall check Poundland for it!!
Thanks for the heads up. 😊

MahMahMahMahCorona · 21/10/2021 15:11

@nicky2512 and @thaegumathteth - so I called ASDA and as we have the Priority Pass, helpfully given to us as both DC are ECV, it isn't the same as the Delivery Pass, and therefore we don't benefit from the priority over Christmas!

I said that's really sad, as there's no way I'm taking the DC to supermarkets over the Christmas period. There was nothing I can do either - I tried signing up with another email address to buy a delivery pass myself, but it wouldn't let me. 😞

nicky2512 · 21/10/2021 15:18

@MahMahMahMahCorona. That’s rubbish! Not surprised though. It’s bad enough that recurring slots are cancelled over Christmas.
Make sure and check when slots are released to everyone else. I think it’s 26th but not sure what time. Hopefully you will be lucky then.

TheCrow · 21/10/2021 15:18

Just been in Aldi and they had some great reductions- Jacqueline Wilson books 29p each (although I would recommend looking at the back as the ones I looked at were about bereavement and divorce which might be difficult subjects) and crime/thrillers and YA books at 99p. Lots of craft type stuff with good reductions and kids clothes- packs of two dresses down to £2/2.50, lovely thick jumper dresses for £1.50, packs of kids socks for 79p

Daisy829 · 21/10/2021 16:16

Not so much a bargain and not 100% accessible depending on where you are but Cluedo are doing personalised games in some smyths toys stores. You need to book a slot though

Typical! Normally get totally spammed by Matalan with 20% off vouchers.

Now when I need to order - zilch!

MarshmallowsOnToast · 21/10/2021 16:30

Sorry if already posted. Just seen these in B&M that I though were fun.

There was a cake version & sweets version for £5. Also chocolate one but that was smaller & not as fun for £4.

@Christmasmcchristmasface gangsta granny 2 ordered, as well as Journal 29 which was recommended further back, for a total of £16, what a flipping bargain. Thank you!

@Rockhopper81

My Sock Shop socks have just arrived - thank you to whoever suggested them, plus whoever first shared the virtues of bamboo socks, because there feel so soft and I may be inclined to buy more and wear them exclusively...
I was one of them. I do now wear bamboo exclusively- have done for years. Even my teen DC are picky of they're not bamboo -whathaveistarted?-

This isn't a big saving by any means but Fortnum and Masons are encouraging early ordering of Christmas deliveries by offering £3.95 (instead of their usual £7.95) named day delivery, for delivery between Monday 29th November and Sunday 12th December.

I've just ordered all of our chutneys and preserves and some boxes of chocolates that we order yearly, and as they never really have any discounts it's like a lovely little treat to get £4 off of delivery.

You can get 3.2% cash back on Quidco too.

Thank you. I was planning on ordering a few bits as a keepsake after visiting earlier in the year for afternoon tea.
sorryiasked · 21/10/2021 19:27

IWOOT are running a lego week with additional discounts, 2 for £26, 3 for £20.
Haven't compared prices but may be worth a look.
Usually a discount code about too although may not work on discounted stuff.

sorryiasked · 21/10/2021 19:31

There are 3 x mini sets of duplo included in the IWOOT 3 for £20 offer above for those looking

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 21/10/2021 19:44

@Daisy829 how much is the personalised Cluedo? I can't seem to find that out on the website!!
