After a crappy, stressful year (ttc with no succes, a lot of blood tests, a lot of work, a lot of stress) DH and I are making our Christmas lists. I've finished everyone's presents, but my list is pretty much empty (an electric blanket & a couple of books)

Any ideas? What would you like to get for Christmas?

Please inspire me, fellow mumsnetters

Elemis skincare, DP usually gets me some every Christmas
Good quality sheepskin slippers, I generally buy slippers from Next but I tend to wear them out pretty quickly
Cashmere bed socks,
Fancy bath foam but not sure what type
Last year I wanted a kitchen aid stand mixer, DP bought me one early last December, it’s brilliant and I use it several times a week

I'd like a Me & Em cardigan. And some chococo 80% chocolates.

I'd also like to skip Christmas Day and go from the 23rd to Boxing Day. The whole rigmarole exhausts me and thinking about it now makes me tired.

languagelover96 · 15/10/2021 10:23

Books
Toys
Tarot cards
Magazines
Electric blanket
A couple of plants
Old fashioned tea cups

Onionbhajisandwich · 15/10/2021 10:46

I’d like a voucher for farmer gracy and some nice socks.

mrsm43s · 15/10/2021 11:43

I want a Velvetiser.

I could buy one for myself (and in fact have both a Lakeland 20% off voucher and a £20 HC voucher, so could do it cheaper).

Deep down I know that I don't really drink much hot chocolate, and it'll end up gathering dust at the back of the cupboard, so I can't bring myself to buy one since they're pretty pricey.

But I'd still like one, so I'd like someone else to buy it for me!

Holothane · 15/10/2021 11:47

All the Dr who blu rays I’ve not been able to get this year, same with the Stranger Things stuff, Mathew Modine films. Molton brown stuff, and a rest.

CrumpleHornedSnowcack · 15/10/2021 11:47

a pony & an Audi R8 but i'll settle for some Harry Potter lego

Yogity · 15/10/2021 11:51

I've asked DH for theatre tickets. Specifically 2 tickets and the expectation that I bring someone other than him who would sigh and doze through the whole evening. He is happy enough to oblige.

If I'm lucky enough to get any other gifts I'd like nice skincare products, makeup, perfume or a posh box of chocolates. Last year SIL made me homemade shortbread and I was overjoyed so I'm secretly hoping I get that again

SockFluffInTheBath · 15/10/2021 11:54

Things for my new greenhouse maybe, but I can get those myself. What I’d really like is to not do Christmas, I hate the day, I’d like to be somewhere else with my dog.

lazylinguist · 15/10/2021 11:55

A spinning wheel (I'm not even going to ask for that though- it costs far more than we ever spend on a present!)

If I manage to save up for one or have definitely decided to by then, I could ask for some spinning-related accoutrements though Grin

MrsKDB · 15/10/2021 12:00

fantasy list incoming:

a luxury beauty advent calendar
chanel boy bag
bean to cup coffee machine
a new yoga outfit
one of those larder fridge freezers with the double doors and pull out drawers
personalised LV travel bag with cross body strap
balenciaga wallet / card holder
medik8 retinol
sheepskin gilet
amazing art
camellia tree

hopjumpskipstone · 15/10/2021 16:02

About £700,000 would cover it, as I'd like to buy a new family house GrinThen I could buy a local one that needs work and stay living in this totally unsuitable for kids one for bit. Not much equality sadly.

hopjumpskipstone · 15/10/2021 16:10

Realistically I'd like. 4-5 new nightdresses. I like cotton chemise ones but not silky, so hard to find anything but man made stuff these days.

And some YSL mascara, it really is good and my collection one is just purely rubbish.

73kittycat73 · 15/10/2021 20:09

I know so far I've got
Harley Quinn comic
The Sims 4 games
Book on reincarnation
The Simpsons lounge pants
Fantasy wise I'd love a switch, and a new TV to play it on.

EmmaStone · 15/10/2021 20:50

Cloth cover Penguin Classics
Stacking rings (not narrowed downs ones I'd like yet though)
Perhaps some jewellery from Decadorn
L'Occitane stuff

I have a December birthday too, so need to get some ideas together...

StrongArm · 15/10/2021 20:59

Books (commuting again so reading more!)

New running trainers (Brooks)

Dog walking gilet with lots of pockets (full jacket too warm)

Nice bubble bath, massage oil

More herbs and lavender for the garden and an olive tree

BikeRunSki · 15/10/2021 21:00

Lego Diagon Alley

Toddleberry · 15/10/2021 21:05

There’s a couple of things…
A lie in
A spa day by myself (happy to clump the first and this together by means of spa weekend)
DH to agree to getting a dog, don’t expect said dog but would like some sort of agreement that we can get one
A necklace with DD’s name on
And maybe a new cross stitch pattern

ChristmasLightsAndSparkles · 15/10/2021 21:08

@Yogity - do tell her! I'm sure it would make her happy to know that you enjoyed her shortbread so much, and also be delighted to have an idea for this year! (And unless you tell her, she won't want to be 'boring' and repeat the present, so you'll miss out)

Darceyhemingway · 15/10/2021 21:10

I'm due our first in December and really want an Apple Watch. I want to be on my phone less but am worried about missing calls etc never fancied one before!

dizzygirl1 · 15/10/2021 21:13

I've bought myself from the kids (hidden and will be given to them...teenagers...to wrap)
Floreii crossover bag (thanks bargain thread 😉)
Scribbles that matter bullet journal
Mob recipe book
Boots beauty box

thanks bargain thread 😉 these were what I was 'hoping' for and cam afford due to the thread 😀

DuvetDayIsEveryDay · 15/10/2021 21:16

Kidd.ly are amazing (sitting in mine now) and far nicer than the Oodie ones (which DC has).

I'd like a night or two away doing an experience of some kind.

Megan2018 · 15/10/2021 21:18

My list is massive! But not holding out for much as we are skint and not buying for each other.

Riding coat
New wellies
New long riding boots
New riding hat
Long riding socks
Normal socks
Thermals
Pyjamas
My favourite face cream, eye cream and serum. I’m down to using £3 stuff as have run out
My favourite body lotion
Bamboo hair towels
Fat face breton tshirt

Chickydoo · 15/10/2021 21:23

3 weeks all expenses paid in the Maldives (or somewhere similar) without losing my self employed earnings back home, as I don't get holiday pay.

danidandan · 15/10/2021 21:29

I'd love:
Some fluffy Ugg slippers
A fitted colourful Blazer
Some comfy new teddy lounge wear
A new pillow
Some new books
A personalised phone case
A new hot chocolate mug
Food processor / blender
Pink champagne truffles (or a bottle 🌝)

Most of all for my little girl to have the best most magical Christmas. So excited this year as it just brings the magic back as she will be a year old.

I can't wait to put my tree up!
