Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

We’ve made our own crackers for the last few years and I’ve always filled with a joke that I know each person will appreciate and a scratch card

Puffalicious · 12/10/2021 18:09

Like PP say, Dove/ Nivea/ Jack Wills/ L'Oreal/ David Beckham. Body Shop also nice as is Lush if you're so inclined. I have 2 teens and all have been bought in the past. I've moved onto solid shampoo/ conditioner/ moisturising soap this year and they like it too.

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 12/10/2021 18:16

Can you get a robux voucher to put in a stocking?

I'll put a fiver in each of DCs' stockings but they'll probably give it back to me and ask to exchange it for robux!

Thanks for cards against maturity tip. I've been looking at it for a while and it's a great price. Ordered 👌

RunningKatie · 12/10/2021 18:36

Boots has the Harry Potter bedtime suitcase half price, it's not on the Star Buys section on the app but it is half price, also half price in store.

Jfw82 · 12/10/2021 18:37

@Motherofplants

M&S (£8 for 6) and Wilkos (£4 for 6) have just posted their fillable Christmas Crackers! I'm thinking of doing some this year, but while I have ideas for ds 2 and dp, what would I put in mine? I'm awful at things for me!
Put a miniature gin in my own last year. In the past have had Xmas earrings or a nice lipgloss

Asda Gift Cards online sell them. I saw someone on here post about it. Smallest value is £10 and postage is £1.69
AnotherOne4 · 12/10/2021 18:47

@badmarciathemarsha shame you can't buy the gold flasks/mugs etc, as they look really cool.

peepholepringle · 12/10/2021 18:52

The bag offer is just too good to ignore isn't it? 😬

I don't suppose anyone has seen any candle advent calendars around just yet? If a bargain, even better!
I know Yankee usually do one but I'm looking for other brands too so I can have some choice?

nicky2512 · 12/10/2021 18:57

@RunningKatie I don’t suppose you know what the adult Next version of an oodie is called? I’ve had a quick look on their site but don’t see them. Thanks.

This is the bane of my existence! I saw it for £65 all summer. Thought, no, I’ll buy it closer to Christmas. Don’t want a big box taking up room in the bottom of my wardrobe.

Rookie mistake, now the price has shot up and Morrison’s don’t deliver here 😅

Ah well. You live and you learn.

DumplingsAndStew · 12/10/2021 19:07

Now the colder and darker nights are coming in, does anyone know where I can get the best value on Yankee's Christmas Cookie scent?

DollyPartBaked · 12/10/2021 19:07

Anyone else had the email about the spicery Meze kit being delayed?

PoirotAndHisMoustache · 12/10/2021 19:08

Did everyone else got an email from spicery about the delay to Meze Legends kit that was on pre-order?

Carrie Elspeth - lovely, colourful jewellery especially nice for tweens and teens. £10 off a £40 spend with OCTOBER10

StopGoQuitStart · 12/10/2021 19:16

Sorry not sure if been mentioned already but this Thursday Aldi special buys are Harry Potter related. Saw on the app and they have dolls, soft toys, invisibility cloak, puzzles, lego. Not sure how prices compare for things like Lego but usually Aldi is decent enough if have a HP fan to buy for.

Can anyone recommend decent notice boards for bedrooms preferably magnetic as wouldn’t like pins in rooms as only 7 and 4? I saw a great dinosaur one on Amazon last year but pricey.

Similarly any headphone recommendations preferably Bluetooth noise limiting for children. A nice bonus but not essential would be any element of noise cancelling so they could use when at busier venues as both get little overwhelmed if too much noise. Thank you.
