Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

@Restlessinthenorth

Struggling to get my hands on the primark oodies. None in the huge Leeds branch yesterday. Thinking of going over to Trafford centre branch to try tomorrow....
Meadowhall had loads on Monday!
NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 07:07

@1stTimeMama, it's this one.

Bearing in mind they're rarely discounted, we thought it was a good deal. You add the discount code at checkout.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 07:09

I don't know if the link will work as it keeps linking to the fact I've bought it for me. It's this seller (attached).

@NoWordForFluffy

I just got an almost-free Joy-con for the Switch using the 20% discount code on eBay (FALL20) and Nectar points. I paid £3.59. Not bad!
Do you have the ebay link please
Reastie · 09/10/2021 07:13

Ah ha, found you all. I quickly set up a new thread as I didn’t spot this one had been done and then wondered why you were all ignoring me and you were here!!!

I know I’m being totally rubbish this year and I’m so sorry, being self employed wrecks havoc with my (lack of) downtime and bargain hunting

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 07:18

@mummyof2boys30, I've just linked it above (and screenshot the seller if the link doesn't work!).

MsMiaWallace · 09/10/2021 07:19

Thanks for new thread !!

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/10/2021 07:26

@Reastie don’t worry I’m sure no one minds

Just seen that. Thanks so much. Some games we need on that page too

OneMorePieceofCheese · 09/10/2021 07:31

Might be useful for those in the area: I was at Bicester Village yesterday and The White Company had loads of Xmas stuff in. All about 20% cheaper than in store, including diffusers and Xmas sprays

L'Occitaine also had lots of reduced bundles (but the staff were rude so I didn't buy anything)!

Someaddedsugar · 09/10/2021 07:34

@Reastie hope you’re ok! Thanks so much for all of the threads so far ☺️

Givealittlebit · 09/10/2021 07:49

1 month NEXTUP comedy subscription

30% off missguided or mennace
£10 off buyagift
£5 off prezzybox
15% off pop sockets

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 09/10/2021 08:04

@restlessinthenorth which primark oodies are you looking for? Monks Cross in York had some when I was in on Thursday, I'm guessing if you've been to the Leeds one that that might be nearer to you than Manchester.

Restlessinthenorth · 09/10/2021 08:06

@Haveyoubrushedyourteeth I'm looking for the sloth one. Leeds is about 10 mins from me, so monks cross not too far at all. Thanks for the heads up. Hope they still have them!

Scout2016 · 09/10/2021 08:16

BAM Bamboo Clothing have 3 for 2 on everything still dear but bit less painful.

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 09/10/2021 08:19

@restlessinthenorth they had a big stand full of those ones in all sizes on Thursday afternoon. It was fairly busy but I was the only person looking at that time, and the bloke at the till said he'd never seen one before so fingers crossed for you that they haven't been too popular yet. They're just in front of the ladies pj's on the ground floor. On the off chance you don't get one let me know and I'll keep an eye out, I'm often in there and will happily grab and post to you.

user1471546203 · 09/10/2021 08:29

@Restlessinthenorth they had the sloth ones in Meadowhall on Thursday if that helps

mum2jakie · 09/10/2021 08:33

Thanks for the details about the Tokyo Laundry bundles. Has anyone managed to get the New20 code to work with it too? (Greedy...)

We ❤️ Bamboo! It's so comfy!

I'll put my referral on the referral thread as it gets you 10% off a £50 spend.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 08:35

Ooh, no, it's 15% off.

Apologies @Reastie, we were halfway down page 40 on the other thread and I got nervous! I'm loving this though and check the current thread daily, so thank you Grin

Some great ideas on this thread thank you!

clpsmum · 09/10/2021 08:48

@Christmasmcchristmasface thank you so much I've just ordered. Never heard of them before

TummyTurtle · 09/10/2021 08:55

Reading about where you all hide your pressies reminded me of when I discovered all our Christmas presents stacked high in a cupboard off our downstairs WC when I was about 10. My mum was totally unimpressed!!

@raindancer411 my LG will be around 18 months at Christmas. She's my first so not doing a stocking this year (willl probably start next year). But you could put in Lanke Kade wooden toys, paint sticks (£3 from the Works - easy to use and not messy), light up bouncy ball, toy vehicles that move, hat &/or mittens, character socks (Asda have a nice range)...
