I'm so glad that ours go swimming on a Weds afternoon while I'm working!

They've barely been for the last year, what with lockdowns and then maintenance issues with the pool. Back to it next week though. 😁

Hayup I really do NOT envy you. 🥵🥵

DH has hoovered and is going to mow the back lawn later. I've dealt with the litter trays 💩 put the bin/recycling in the wheelie bins, prepped lunch taken some salmon out of the freezer made the bed and put a wash on. The cats have mainly moaned at me and complained about the lack of both Whiskas they've been fed and Dreamies 🤷‍♀️ and the little angels caught a big 🕷 and left it as a gift for me to find in the dark, before 6am 😂

I'm going to make raspberry jam soon. I have some vodka-soaked fruit from the raspberry vodka I've made for Christmas it's amazing, so it'll be a miracle if it lasts that long! and I'm debating whether to make it as a separate batch. @NerosFiddle, did you get a vodka one from me last year? Could you tell? If not, I'll just mix the fruit and save myself time!

Hayup you have my sympathy! We went to watch younger SIL compete in swimming races once or twice and it was always unbearably stuffy and hot.

I overslept 😩 The dog woke us up at 5 by being sick. Took me an hour to go back to sleep - I was aiming to be up at 8 but overslept by an hour!
This morning has been spent getting myself ready for going out out - can you tell I'm very excited?
One of my friends who I'm meeting today bought me glittery eyeliner for my birthday so I've put that on in celebration.

Today is going to be an unproductive write off - I will be shopping, eating, drinking and sleeping and that's about it 🥂 🍹

Oh God! The clammy nightmare of swimming lessons - you have my sympathy Hayup. DD2 had lessons when I was pregnant with DS 🥵🤢

Off to the shop as soon as I've finished my tea and then it's a day of relaxation and feeding the troops.

I did have the vodka one last year. It was really good and you could definitely taste the vodka.

I love doing the swimming lessons. It's on a Monday evening. Parents are not allowed to stay by the poolside so we have to go to the cafe and wait. I have half an hour on my own to read a book and drink something hot. Hen afterwards we go to McDonald's

Mine don't do swimming lessons anymore. They're both competent swimmers and we just never restarted after lockdown. I used to hate sitting in the boiling hot viewing area though. I don't like public swimming pools at all 🤢

I don't even know if I'm allowed to send you foodstuffs post-Brexit, Neros, or I could send you another, with a Booths book. Do you know?

I think that you can. You can't send liquids but food items can be sent so long as they are not to be sold in the EU. Everything has been an absolute balls up though

I've had a lovely day though. Was so nice to be out and see friends, one of which I haven't seen since June so I got my Christmas presents today. She knows me very very well and bought me this planner

Morning!

Another early start, but I was asleep before 11, so it's not so bad! I have a total inability to sleep late. 🙄

It sounds wet outside. Not ideal digging conditions, it has to be said! I'm sure there's something I can do at the allotment, as digging cold / wet soil is bad for it.

Ds came in at 6:20 to say the cat had been sick so that was us all awake

I was considering the gym but I need to conserve petrol really as I've got loads of driving to do this week.

Ds has football and dd is going to a friends. I'm going to cook a roast and get a little bit more uni work done. Dh can help ds with his homework once they're back from football.

DH and I went for a couple of nights in Brighton .
Stayed in a sea facing hotel with parking ( it looks a 'mare to park otherwise)
Wandered round the little shops .
Went on the i360 tower
Vegan Fish&Chips
Went to see Emily Atack (very funny and sweary Not for the faint hearted )

Had hot chocolate in Knoops and decided though it was delicious , I don't need a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser ( which was on QVC yesterday) as I wouldn't drink that much .

Walked flipping miles , I am offically knackered .
And there were huge mounds of binbags and waste at the sides of the roads due to Refuse Strike . Lots of homeless too.
It's a lovely town but like all towns there is gd and bad .
