That'll be nice crazy.

I've only got 55 hours annual leave left as I owe work 25 hours due to when my term time only contract switched over.

CrazyBaubles · 15/10/2021 11:21

How many days does 55 hours equate to for you Wreck? And do your holidays renew in Jan?

I've just booked mine - We're being allowed to roll over 2 days so I've done that in the hope of an extra long holiday next summer 😎
I've booked a day next week, one mid November then throughout December I've booked 1 random day off per week. My plan is to use the one next week to get to grips with my shopping by going into town in the morning when it's quiet then doing some online shopping at home.
November will be for final prep at home with Christmas films Xmas Smile and the December ones will be for decorating / wrapping / enjoying / relaxing. I can't wait!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 15/10/2021 11:55

Morning.
Lovely day. 🌞

WreckTangled · 15/10/2021 12:01

No it's April to April. I do 30 hours a week. The 55 hours is in addition to the bank holidays so not too bad.

MissingMo · 15/10/2021 12:03

Morning all, been running around doing errands, collecting parcels and then to baby sensory so have only just sat down. Very chilly this morning and DD keeps telling me 'It's Autumn' on the walk to school.
10 weeks time Christmas eve eve and I'll have picked up one food order already. Need to find time to pop to Lidl for stollen but may wait until they're Christmas guide is out.
I had a silly amount of holiday to take so I have just 1 week of work in November and then 3 weeks to take for Jan and Feb as we can't take holiday in December.
Your plans sound lovely Crazy hope you have a really good time.
And lovely hearing about all the proposals.

NerosFiddle · 15/10/2021 13:04

Afternoon.

Must get my sil to send me Booths mag this year. Last year Fluffy was kind enough to post me a copy.

I'm currently trying to work out the best cheese board to make.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2021 13:53

Aren't you coming over soon, Neros, or did I imagine it?!

Happy birthday, by the way! 🎂🎉🥂

So far, for my cheese (I've yet to put an order in at our local cheese shop), I have Garstang Blue and Lancashire truckles plus this Butler's selection. (The Lancashire ones are different types; I haven't gone mad!) 🧀 🧀

CCF watched today = 2
The Princess Switch and
The Christmas Wedding Planner.

what am I going to do when I've watched them all Xmas Confused ?

NerosFiddle · 15/10/2021 14:39

Thank you. Another year have flown in.

I'm looking at this cheese. Because of you know what I don't know what kind of cheese the supermarkets will have.

Hay channel 5 will be starting to their ccf after Halloween.

CrazyBaubles · 15/10/2021 15:23

Happy Birthday Neros 🎂

HayUp the closer to Christmas we get, the bigger the selection of CCFs available to choose.

I tried watching one today that I found on Amazon Prime - A His & Her Christmas. I turned it off after 30mins as it was too rubbish but I may switch it back on now...

I realised a few days ago Melissa Joan Hart has done a few more that I haven't seen so I need to find a way to watch them this year (A Very Merry Toystore and Christmas Reservations) plus I think she has another coming out this year Xmas Grin

NerosFiddle · 15/10/2021 15:31

If you put Christmas into the search button on Netflix you'll find a lot of so bad it's good ccf. The ones that looks like they had a budget of a fiver

WoogleCone · 15/10/2021 15:53

Hey everyone, hope days are going well :)

I took a short walk through town today, didnt get anything other than more yarn and a magazine with more projects in 🤦‍♀️

Definitely need to start thinking of bits for the advent calendar, i made one for the kids to share, chocs are ok but my eldest wont eat it (shes autistic, is just excited to take part) so need really little things and ive no idea where to start.

Well on my way with christmas cupboard stuff though, got my custard ready!

Anyone got a recommend for best Christmas pudding? First time serving it for a few years and not sure which one to pick up x

MissingMo · 15/10/2021 15:53

Crazy Christmas Reservations was the best kind of cheesy, I loved it last year.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2021 17:09

This evening's reading is sorted! Xmas Grin

Just sat down. Phew!

I took dd to Costa after we went food shopping which was nice. She's a bit happier today although she's spending breaks and lunch with her best friend which I'm a bit worried about as she's a year older than her. I'm sure it'll be ok though.

Oh I bought some stollen too BlushGrin

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2021 17:36

We got sucked into buying Christmas snacks from Booths! They were doing a taste test next to the door, so then we did what they want the good sheep customers to do, and bought them!

I got some reassuringly expensive nettle-wrapped Cornish Yarg too. 😋😋

TheWoollybacksWife · 15/10/2021 17:58

What snacks did you get Fluffy? I've got my stollen bites, lebkuchen and some of the M&S chocolate cinnamon tortilla rolls so far.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2021 19:03

These, Woolly!

They look lovely.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2021 19:25

I had a blondie tree in store. It was lovely!

Do you need me to bring you snacks as well?!

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 15/10/2021 19:51

Yes please. Definitely the Christmas tree brownie/blondies 🎄

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2021 20:03

Here are the ones they have. I didn't see all of them today, but the kids were there, so it was impossible to think / browse! Let me know which ones you like and I'll bring what I can!

Another late night and early morning. My body is bloody stupid! And I now have a tired headache. Sigh.

The kids aren't awake yet, which is good.

We've got the heating on this morning as it was below 18° by the time we came to bed last night, and would've only got colder, so an hour's heating it is!

Hayup · 16/10/2021 09:24

Morning.

I'm in parenting hell. DD is swimming and I'm having to sit in the unbearably hot spectator gallery, and then get her changed in the equally hot and humid changing room.

Off to Lidl after to do the shopping and browse the Christmas goodies Xmas Grin
