I think that house is even earlier than usual Woolly. They tend to be first on the estate but they have surpassed themselves this year.

I still have a blocked up nose and wearing a mask at work today felt like I was suffocating.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/11/2021 22:52

Oooh I drove past a properly done up lit house today !
What the Feck in tarnation , I thought , it's November !

Flu Jab tomorrow , hopefully not a sore-arm-lurgy-after-efffect dose this year .

Five weeks and it will be Christmas Eve Xmas Grin
I have booked the 23rd off this year to do some last minute poncing about .

I'm off to bed now , get some sleep .

NoWordForFluffy · 19/11/2021 07:37

Morning!

First morning back on the cross trainer this morning. My throat is still sore, but not as much as it was, and the snot has decreased somewhat, so I decided I couldn't delay it anymore.

It's looking like a lovely day outside. For now!

Morning.
It does look nice out there...I need to reposition the bird table and top it up later.
There's a house on our estate that was decorated for Christmas before Halloween 🎃🎅🤷‍♀️

ConstantlyCooking · 19/11/2021 08:12

Good morning, I am still feeling tired and aching, nose blocked etc. Luckily I still have my sense of smell/taste but virtually no appetite! (Unheard if for me!)
I have told work that I won't try to work today so I may have an afternoon with a CCF.

ConstantlyCooking · 19/11/2021 08:14

A house on my walk to the station always puts up outdoor lights just after Bonfire Night (illuminated Father Christmas, reindeer etc).

NoWordForFluffy · 19/11/2021 08:35

There's a house round the corner which is decorated to within an inch of its life. We've not noticed if it's on yet. I shall endeavour to find out!

Morning. I'm making my weekly visit to the M&S food hall after dropping DS and his huge pile of stuff at school. A light up shortbread tin is on the list today. I'll check the price of the Buck's Fizz but I think I have enough.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/11/2021 08:59

Did you buy more than the 4 you started with, Woolly?

OP posts:
ConstantlyCooking · 19/11/2021 11:40

They had 2 for £5 on Buck's Fizz when I was in M&S on Wednesday.

I could have sworn I posted earlier but I can't see it 🤷‍♀️

Quite a good day here (apart from the headache). I finished work a little bit early and took ddog on an extra long walk. I had to slow down once it twice thanks to dizzy spells but the fresh air definitely helped.
Have ordered a few more things for Christmas today - I forgot Morrison's do clothes and doing a cute little onesie there too so nabbed that and a Christmas jumper for me for £7 Xmas Shock

Also managed to fit in a truly rubbish CCF - A Very merry toy store I think it was called. Melissa Joan hart and Slater from Saved by the bell was in it. A Christmas version of you've got Mail, chemistry between them at all and a disappointing lack of snow, Christmas decs and festive music!

We're going out to a restaurant an hour away tomorrow and we pass a lovely garden centre on the way. I'm going to see if I can fit a stop in on the way as I still want a Christmas cactus and a wander around the Christmas decs

NoWordForFluffy · 19/11/2021 17:24

The site has been down, Crazy, maybe it got eaten!

We need to see your jumper. Xmas Grin

My "snow-cast" has moved to 28th and 30th now...
Crazy Surely you'll need to stop for a wee. Wink

ConstantlyCooking · 19/11/2021 18:20

I watched A Holiday Calendar about a magic advent calendar!

PussyCatEatingPigsInBlankets · 19/11/2021 18:22

Constantly on a scale of 1 (dairylea dunkable) to 10 (stinking bishop) how cheesy was it? Grin

WreckTangled · 19/11/2021 18:32

@ConstantlyCooking

I watched A Holiday Calendar about a magic advent calendar!
I've seen that one. It's amazingly cheesy.
CrazyBaubles · 19/11/2021 18:43

puss I mentioned the garden centre to DH and he didn't even moan Xmas Shock so we'll stop on the way home - he'll be too full from lunch to moan at me (I hope)

Fluffy pic of the top attached for you. It's a bit sparkly for me but I was getting desperate and I couldn't really say no for that price!

Constantly I've seen the holiday calendar. Very cheesy but exactly what a CCF should be I think.

I'm trying to find an iPad that will be available before Christmas (my mum is buying one for my dad who's always had second hand ones but his latest one has broken) and it's turning out to be a bit of a mission 🙄

Five weeks til the big day! 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄 Yet some people still declare it 'too early' to talk about Christmas!

I'm in bed. I do need to get up really, mind you. Everybody else is up and the kids are already being irritating!.

The lights are on in town. We drove through on the way back from Sainsbury's. I told DD that if she told DS we'd seen them I'd be very annoyed, as he'd be upset that he hasn't seen them! We might drive along later to see them.

ConstantlyCooking · 20/11/2021 08:24

35 The Holiday Calendar was definitely vintage cheddar verging on Stilton!
I have been in another thread looking for some more ideas.
There are lots of Christmas tasks, I should be ticking off my list but genuinely have no energy.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/11/2021 08:36

Urgh I have Post Flu Vaccine Achey-ness
Headache , aching joints . Last night I wrapped myself in my dressing gown and went to sleep on the sofa for a hour then hauled myself to bed .
Coffee/Paracetamol this morning , feel a bit more human Xmas Wink

I am so glad I didn't have the Flu+Covid booster together , I'd be throwing myself onto a spike!

NoWordForFluffy · 20/11/2021 08:39

That's quite an extreme reaction to the flu jab, 70. Do you tend to react badly to it, or do you think it's the mix of the two (even if slightly-spaced out) exacerbating it?

My friend wasn't allowed both together, as she had yellow carded symptoms from the COVID vaccine.

OP posts:
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/11/2021 08:56

Ag the flu jab does this to me ^Fluffy* I usually get some sort of reaction.
I had the Covid booster 6 weels ago but it means in the space of 12 months I've had 2 flu and 3 Covid
My arm is screaming No.More.Needles in a Mrs Doyle voice Xmas Grin

CrazyBaubles · 20/11/2021 10:03

Feel better soon 70 & Constantly

I had a disturbed sleep, some horrendous dream that I can't remember made me wake up in a panic then I struggled to get back to sleep.

We'll be leaving to go for lunch in about an hour (it's an hour away and I want to mooch some shops first) then garden centre.

Annoyingly I need to take my car to the tyre centre when we get back as my passenger tyre has gone completely flat for the second time in a week. DH thinks it's related to the valve because when it did it the first time I filled it with air and it was fine for 4 days then randomly went flat in the space of a few hoursConfused
