At work on a long day. I had training on Tuesday which I have a) mostly done before and b) it over ran by 15 minutes on my day off which did not impress me (or anyone). I did spend some productive time talking to a colleague about when we were putting our Christmas decs up and googling Christmas items mind you.

Another one here who feels rubbish. Cough, tickly dry throat, tight chest, no voice 🙄 Well enough to work but I've claimed my duvet day so I'm now back in bed with the dog. We're watching an episode of NCIS so I can crochet without concentrating then I'll be watching CCFs for the rest of the day. I may get the sewing machine out to attempt to make napkins if I can be arsed

Oh I decided not to go for a CCF but for a nice classic one instead - Miracle On 34th street (the Richard Attenborough one). I haven't been able to find this film online for the last few years but DH hooked up the old DVD player in the bedroom last week so I'm watching it using that

IPlayer have a whole section of CCF! I'm currently watching one called Christmas a la carte.

Why have you put your decs up?? DH is threatening to put the tree up at the weekend...I wanted to buy different balls for it, so will try to delay until next week.

Puss I haven't put the decs up yet. I am waiting for a weekend I am fully off which won't be just yet. I would love to though.

We need to paint the front room before the tree goes up. That is happening this weekend. Fun, fun, fun. Not! 🙄

Nero I had never thought of looking on iPlayer for CCFs!

I am trying to fight of a cold but have a sore I scratchy eyes plus am working this weekend so am dosing myself with Day Nurse and drinking lots of water. (And feeling sorry for myself). I want a day on the sofa watching CCFs whilst drinking hot ginger and lemon!

My DH isn't well today - achey, cough, lurgy .
I asked him how he was when I got home then had DS protesting that he was unwell much longer and much worse (obvs)

I need to catch up on Eastenders .
Pick up some random (Christmas) things tomorrow and do a Sainsbury shop.
Then on Saturday , DD and I are going to an ABBA Tribute

70 I read that as you and DD are going shopping to Sainsburys as an ABBA tribute...I might need an early night. 🤦‍♀️😂

Six weeks till Christmas Eve

Good morning! The ABBA tribute sounds fun 70 still annoyed with parents for not letting me go to see ABBA in 1979.

Morning. Still coughing here with sore/itchy throat and headache. Bleurgh.

Going to try and do a cheap food shop today. Things are a bit tight this week (dh gets paid a week tomorrow so that's still two food shops and another week of fuel which is costing us both over £40 a week now ).

Morning. Still coughing / sore throat / temp etc here too. I'm supposed to be going out for the day tomorrow but if this doesn't clear up I'm going to have to cancel - I'd probably be ok but I think my coughing would stress out the people I'm going with.

Back to work after my lovely day off yesterday 😩 but it's only one day and I've done loads to get myself ahead (that's the only reason I took yesterday without feeling guilty). Roll on 4pm!

I hope all you lurgified people start to feel better soon. I'm dreading catching a bug given the coverage in the media about the 'super cold'.

I'm waiting for DH to finish his work call so we can have a go at booking our Covid booster. It is rock and roll here today!

I bought some The Snowman loo roll today so that's another Tick on my Christmas list .

I resisted going into one of those Christmas Shops that spring up ( I promised myself I'd go back when I had more time )

Morning!

I'm awake early for no apparent reason. Obvs.

We painted the woodwork in the front room last night and will be painting the two walls which need touching up today. We're debating doing the picture rail as well. I think we probably will as it won't take long.

Today is therefore: hair cuts, painting, loo roll hunt and maybe cleaning the kitchen. But that might be done tomorrow as we're having curry tonight, which is guaranteed to make a mess!

I feel awful. I got my booster yesterday and the side effects aren't great. Didn't sleep a wink last night. Ds has a birthday party today so that's where I'll be dying.

Oh bloody hell. Is it a different type to your first two? I'd have the booster if I qualified, which I don't, and I would get a different one.

Can you send DH to do the party?
