Oh no neros that's rubbish. I didn't have any issues after my flu/Covid booster combo but mine was the same one I'd had previously so maybe that makes a difference?

I've woken with a headache again, think it's been every morning for the past week! I've got an assignment to do today, I find the referencing so hard.

Dh is going to collect some Christmas trees for the people he's working for today. Kind of jealous ds will be hogging the tv all day so I won't get to watch any Christmas films which is annoying.

It's the same vaccine. All three have been Pfizer. Sore arm, temperature, achy muscles, sore head and what I feel is the start of the cold.

Dh is working today so I need to take him. Hopefully I'll just sit in the corner.

My sore throat has turned into a horrible chesty cold 😟. On the plus side, work re-organised the rota for this weekend do I only need to go tomorrow. DH is out until lunchtime so I need a recommendation for a Christmas film to watch while I sip hot drinks and take Day Nurse.

Constantly the only CCF I've watched so far is Christmas a la carte on IPlayer. It passed a couple of hours. A Prince for Christmas is always a good one on Netflix

I have watched an American Christmas Carol-type film set in the modern day!

I watched The Holiday Calendar on Netflix yesterday Constantly - it was naff but ok enough.
Others I've tried on Netflix have been Christmas Inheritance, Last Christmas and Christmas Land.

My sleep was rubbish, I woke myself up a few times coughing / needing a wee / dry throat and needing a drink. And now I'm sneezing and sniffing and doing my own head in 🤧

My Hobbycraft delivery came today (minus my lovely Christmas tree stamp as it wasn't available apparently) - I've brought it upstairs to open on my own as I can't quite remember what I ordered 😂

Plan for today is some very light cleaning, crochet, online shopping, a CCF and possibly a nap. I feel rubbish.

My flu jab is next week , it will either be fine or it'll be Kill Me Now afterwards . I never know what my reaction will be .
My poor DS is still coughing like an old seal !

I have been ver' ver' industrious , sorted through my wardrobe , put spare bedding into VacuumBags (rather than the whole lot falling on me from the shelf )

Christmas is Coming Home

Well, I've repainted two walls if the front room and DH has given a second coat to some of the shoddily done woodwork and it now looks lovely!

As they push rods aren't going back up until Monday, the voiles are in the wash in a wash bag; we all know what happened last time we washed voiles! so they're done.

I also cleaned the windows / frames. Which means the big, pre-Christmas, clean is done in here. Whoop! Next weekend it's the turn of the dining room, before the tree goes up the weekend after! 🎄🎄

I have also been into town and bought 3 bottles of Buck's Fizz from M&S, as it's finally reduced, and I had a gift card, so they cost me £2.00! I also collected the kids' stocking fidget toys, plus bought 5 - five! - packs of Snowman loo roll. And then, finally, I went to Sainsbury's and bought two cases of beer (on offer!) to complete our Christmas beer selection (Modelo, Staropramen, Brewdog's Hazy Jane and Moretti), spending the last of the money on my gift card. I think I'm about done for today!

Oh fluffy you put me to shame. My dc aren't even dressed I haven't done anything today apart from work on my assignment. Poor dh is going to have to sort the house when he gets home from work.

Our kids don't always get dressed at the weekend. However, they've been with DH's parents today, so had to get dressed. Plus DS always has a bath after his haircut, so he would have got dressed then anyway!

I'll clean the kitchen tomorrow, after I've been to the allotment.

Fluffy you have been so busy! I have watched 2 films and had a few naps. Hopefully, today is the worst day.

DH did the cooking & walked the dog and I've done most of resting - I haven't even worked on my crochet yet as I could barely keep my eyes open

Ooh I did post this on the poncetastic thread earlier about my Hobbycraft order.

I'm very happy with the stamp, battery candles and lanterns.
I think I'm going to put some sort of greenery in the lanterns so you can't see the base of the candle - probably thick matt tinsel (I did say on that thread I may use holly but that's going to be a PITA for getting the candle in and out to turn it on and off).

I watched the American one that was an updated Christmas Carol-type film and Princess Switch 2. Both perfect CCFs!

We've just woken up...because DS decided it was time to be awake. Sigh.

We watched Die Hard 2 last night (Die Hard last week!). Hopefully Now TV will have some festive films to choose next week.

My throat is still sore; this is ridiculous! It needs to bog off now!

Fluffy it's lasting forever isn't it? Mine is still sore and I've woken up with a headache again. I've never had anything linger for so long. Dd felt unwell yesterday (sick) ate lunch but nothing else all day and is still asleep.

We went to the ABBA Tribute last night , good fun, good choice of songs but the music was so loud it was hard to hear the vocals !

I'm looking for a Christmassey candle holder , not real candles ( cats are a fire hazard) but I have some tapered LED ones that are nice . I have a candleabra (very Liberace I know ) for the table . Ponce it up with some ivy from the garden, job done .
I need to look in one of those Pop Up Christmas Shops , they're a good source of Christmas Tat Novelty
