Snap with the illnesses Fluffy - I had a cough / sore throat etc when DH had Covid. He's been back in work for just over a week and I'm back to a dry tickle throat and headache. Sucks doesn't it?

Also, I'm currently drinking a scalding hot cuppa to try and help with the scratchy throat - could you try that?

I need to get on with some crafting stuff but I really can't be arsed so I'm browsing the works and Hobbycraft online instead

Morning!

It seems to have rained a fair bit overnight as it sounds very wet outside. We have washing to put out, so it had better dry up!

Crazy, I'm totally with you on the fireworks front...why do people have some leftover?! Weird. Maybe they buy them because they're antisocial pricks, it's not incidental.

We don't have as many trips as your school, Wreck. We also have economies of scale, due to numbers, for primary, so they aren't as expensive generally. The last trip you could pay whatever you could afford.

Fluffy the fireworks things annoy me. I don't agree with them generally but definitely don't think people should be able to buy them privately and let them off in their gardens.

Also (sorry, I am 🤬 today) I woke myself up at 3:30am coughing and was awake until 5. Throat feels like it has a million needles poking in it whenever I swallow and I'm swinging from cold to boiling.
I'll be doing a LFT soon just in case but I think it's more a general bug or something.

I put in a £30 order to Hobbycraft yesterday - half was Christmas presents and half was Christmas stuff for me
I'm especially pleased with the lanterns (I bought 2), the plain wreaths for me to decorate (I bought 2 of those as well) and the Christmas stamp... I absolutely must not buy anymore craft stuff until I've actually used up some of it, I don't have the space

Watching my first CCF. It's on Netflix, Father Christmas is back. I'm 25 mins in and it's rubbish have a meeting now until 12 though so will have to pause it and watch bits between breaks.

Crazy my throat was really sore overnight and when I first woke up too. Some paracetamol has taken the edge off.

I'm in a meeting with over 250 people. At least it means I can hide in the background and we didn't have to do introductions

Wreck I don't think I can remember being anywhere with 250 people! I like hiding though. I'd do that.

We have whole group meetings with about 200. We're instructed to be camera and mic off when we join, so I join and get on with other stuff!

We've been asked to put cameras on but mine is off. There's always one annoying person who forgets to turn their mic off though.

I've taken some paracetamol and that has helped a tiny bit Wreck

I quite enjoy big meetings - I join, camera and mic off, then either crack on with work or an online puzzle, depending on how much attention I have to pay.

Sorry you're still suffering, Crazy. Mine isn't as bad in the ear, but my throat is not good. Sigh.

Well hello all.

Had a pause from prepping for Christmas as we've just bought new bedroom furniture, a new sofa and a new fridge freezer 😳

My parents are coming up to see us, so it looks like we'll be busy over Christmas rather than chilling out!

I've just popped to a few shops to top up odds and sods. I got a red cabbage in Aldi, and red wine vinegar, to make the red cabbage ahead of Christmas. I also got Cointreau from Asda as I need some for the chocolate orange cheesecake I'm going to make. The bottle will last me approx 20 years at the rate I'll likely use it.

I need to do a list of things I'm making and put a list of what ingredients are still needed together. Might do that tonight as I'm not sure I can face stitching, as my ears feel like they're going to explode, and my head really aches. Horrible germs!

Fluffy, just the Christmas presents he ordered...there's no way he'd be able to hide all of my stash I'm not sure he knows about quite a bit of it, or the knitting wool the annoying thing is I daren't buy anything now in case he's already got it. 🤦‍♀️

I'd quite like to see some blue sky today...it's been wall to wall grey for what feels like forever. It doesn't help the house get / stay warm when it's so damn miserable. Sigh.

I feel like my period is on the way (heavy, dragging, feeling). Yay!

It's really foggy here this morning. Still got a sore throat and cough here too, so annoying.

Foggy here too. I've got sore eyes and sinuses again.
fluffy I might have a go at the cheesecake, but will have to halve it for just us 2.

Yes, now I'm up and awake, my ears / throat still hurt too. 😷 Bored of it now!
