I have bought DD naice pyjamas online M&S ( out of stock in nearby stores ) I decided not to wait for a 20% off that might not happen. I'll get her a festive pair in Sainsbury or Primark .

Washing machine has decided to leak I've checked the filter and seal but I don't want to risk running it to see where it spews from.
There's never a good time for these things to go wrong is there

We had biblical rain this morning but it cleared nicely . I did wnder if anyone would venture out but we've just had ToT so it seems ok to be out . ( Dry but cold)

Happy Halloween!

We've been visiting family over half term and have just got back home. The weather has been awful pretty much all the way home so I'm glad to be tucked up in the house with the heating on.

Definitely a night to be tucked up with a hot water bottle!

Wandered around a garden centre yesterday and bought a couple of Christmas bits, DM said "I suppose I ought to make a start"

We went to DSis's for a Halloween party, but DN was getting over stimulated, which ends in catastrophic meltdowns, so we went out to the next village, where they'd organised a pumpkin walk. Thankfully, this morning's torrential rain disappeared - think it buggered off your way, Neros!

Didn't realise they'd all be putting out sweets with their pumpkins, so we inadvertently went trick or treating. DS loved it, although he's not overly fussed about sweets; he was wandering around eating a satsuma, then an apple. DD also managed a whole satsuma which I'm hoping will help with her constipation, although TMI she managed a good effort for daddy this morning

I've a feeling DH will eat the sweets in a couple of weeks when DS has forgotten about them

DS used to be like that, Firefly...he's more into them now he's older!

In other news: send a boat, the rain is biblical! ☔️☔️☔️☔️

Ds' Covid test was negative. He still has a fever though and nasty cough. Oh and a headache.

Woolly and Fluffy the Booths' brownies and blondies look amazing (and I don't really like brownies that much). I might attempt some blondies to take to DNiece tomorrow.
I am meeting a friend for coffee today and will probably take some stollen.

We have blue skies here but it's very cold. DH set the hearing to come on for half our each morning starting today.
Bit different to yesterday - the rain was awful and this morning I found that the wind had blown over my bird feeder and scattered some pots from my potting bench all over the garden.

DH finished his isolation yesterday so he's back in work today. He's thrown open the bedroom windows and stripped our bed so I can go back in there tonight. I'm going to go in and antibac everything in a minute just to be extra safe.
So strange - he was barely ill with it which of course means he now thinks he has amazing Superman like immunity 🙄 but my mum is still really ill almost 3 weeks later.

I'm currently sitting in the car reading a book. I had to take my df to the hospital and I can't go in so here I am.

Crazy it's the strangest illness. Some people don't know they have it and then it's killing others. Hopefully your DM feels better soon.

Ds' cough is so bad. I've counted a maximum of 15 seconds between coughs all afternoon. I can't work out if his lips are slightly blue or if he's just generally grey!

Wreck Poor lad, he must be exhausted. I think you might need to get him checked over, just to be on the safe side.

I think I might have to too. Dh has given him a hot water bottle which doesn't seem like a great idea with a fever of over 39 but it has stopped his cough and given him a bit of colour back. I'll see how he is tomorrow, luckily our doctors surgery is great so there won't be any problems getting to see a doctor.

Got my Quality Street tin refilled today and had a lovely mooch round the JL Christmas shop. I could have spent a fortune buying decorations for DD1's tree but decided that she really needed to choose them herself. I still have the decorations that DH and I bought for our first Christmas.

@TheWoollybacksWife I need to send DH up the loft for our tin and then get over to High Wycombe to fill ours up.

@WreckTangled I hope your DS is on the mend soon 🙏. Absolutely agree it was easier to get up this morning - but it was so cold!

Slightly annoyed I've missed out on the grandslam, DH is convinced I've set my alarm to wake up and attack him in the wee small hours, but I absolutely haven't!

@Hayup I go to bed after DH. I find just after midnight works best for pinch punch. We are also at 10-1 😂

I need to get to Liverpool to refill my tin. I might take the kids at the end of the month and they can choose a decoration each or rob me blind is more likely!

Wreck, your poor DS. Coughing is totally exhausting. I hope your GP can help. Have you checked his sats?

I don't have an oximeter. I really should get one. His throat is very red and swollen and his temperature is still 39° two hours after medicine, he's asleep now though, I might go to bed soon too as he will probably be up either in the night or very early.
