Afternoon. Back from Edinburgh yesterday. It poured down the entire time but we still had fun.

Off to butcher DS birthday cake. I have a back up from the bakery if it all goes wrong 😂.

8 weeks today folks!

FireflyGirl · 30/10/2021 19:11

It's all about the 💩 today chez Firefly Confused

DD has had prunes, grapes and orange juice and a warm bath, and has managed the world's tiniest poop 🙄 Definitely more to come, though.

Meanwhile, changing DS's bed and I found one of the cats has pooped in a dirty t-shirt underneath it - actually inside it! Not sure how they have managed that!

I think it was probably T-Cat, as he likes to sleep under there and he was probably accidentally shut in, so now I'm trying to work out where we can put a litter box where DD can't get to it!

NoWordForFluffy · 30/10/2021 21:30

That lovely Scottish weather, Neros! I'm glad you enjoyed it though.

So, the 💩 baton has moved on from Puss...wonder who's next?!

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 30/10/2021 22:45

It's a baton I am happy to pass on!!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/10/2021 22:50

I certainly don't want a PoohBaton here Fluffy Halloween Shock

I'll bulkbuy Immodium and Senna just in case

I did DD Advent Calendat ( so organised for me , I mean it's October still)
I need one more for the 24th (probably from Lush)
I ordered some Stylish&Beautiful Vegan boots online so I;ll see what they're like IRL. (Still raging at myself that I didn't buy some in Brighton but online P&P +VAT adds £22 onto the price ! )

An extra hour to enjoy tomorrow .

ConstantlyCooking · 30/10/2021 23:30

Just delaying going to bed by watching Christmas films on channels I haven't heard of & drinking prosecco. I managed the gym today and bought fruit for the cake - oddly it seems impossible to get in my online order but there are a few packs in store.
Hope all bowels move regularly!

I think a 💩 baton is better than pebbles, in fairness! 🙈🤣

I've found that with dried fruit, Constantly. Plus some veg is elusive online. And sodding crunchy amaretti biscuits, which I need for my rocky road. It's very odd.

We're up as ds has croup and a bad headache. We're watching nativity 2 under his duvet on the sofa. He's very sad he can't go to the Halloween party later Sad

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2021 06:25

Oh no, I hope he's better soon. DD had croup as a toddler and was rather miserable with it.

We're awake thanks to it being very windy indeed. Think I'll swerve the allotment today, if it carries on...it isn't entirely safe in such weather!

WreckTangled · 31/10/2021 06:40

He thinks the stridor is hilarious. He did have a headache but the medicine has helped that. PCR booked for later, luckily there's a pop up one in town so not too far to go.

FireflyGirl · 31/10/2021 07:11

Oh no, hope he's feeling better soon.

DS has had croup a couple of times, it's horrible Sad Crazy times, though, that now as soon as they have a cough/temperature/runny nose your first thought is ffs not another PCR test 🙄

WreckTangled · 31/10/2021 07:14

Yes it's so annoying! Both dc have had croup before. I read that there have been some cases of stridor and croup like coughs in children with Covid though so best to rule it out. It's not fair on school otherwise. I've also bribed him with greggs Grin

The weather is horrendous here; wet and windy.

FireflyGirl · 31/10/2021 07:17

BTW Fluffy/Wreck, if you like brighter colours for your boys, hype have got a 5 pack of t-shirts in blue/green/red/yellow/white for £10 using code hype50, plus £2.50 delivery, in age 7/8 and 9/10. I struggle to find plain, bright tshirts, so I just bought some for DS to grow into!

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2021 07:28

That's a good deal...DS loves his character t-shirts right now, however, so would likely ignore them!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 31/10/2021 07:35

They're very nice t shirts. Ds also prefers a t shirt with a logo or picture.

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2021 07:43

Sounds like I imagine the inside of a washing machine feels like outside. I'm definitely not going outside! 🤣🤣

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2021 08:25

Oh. Looks like the inside of a washing machine too, now I'm up!

The weather is hideous here as well Fluffy. Windy and rainy.

CrazyBaubles · 31/10/2021 09:36

I was woken by the rain here at 6:30 🥱
I'm still in bed though - I'm on my second cuppa, watching this weeks Bake Off and have just finished trawling the bargain thread while doing some online shopping.
Funnily enough, the hype website is where I'm heading now for 11yo nephew and 10yo niece as they both seem to live in joggers / sports leggings and hoodies...

Hope your DS feels better soon Wreck

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2021 09:47

Apart from Why's DS, I think I'm done now! Xmas Shock Once I get the two Lego sets from JL which I ordered yesterday, I shall get everything out and see what's what...no doubt I've bought too much again which is why Why has books to give to them! Xmas Grin

I believe there may be some Lego sets rolling over to birthday time next summer, but that's fine!

ConstantlyCooking · 31/10/2021 09:48

Good morning all. It is wet and windy here so I am having a lazy start looking at online shopping and writing lists (and checking them twice).
This is the month when I have to make the effort to start ticking things off, otherwise I end up with loads to do in December. Having adult DC means surprises are harder plus they keep saying they're not sure yet about a main present. DH claims it's too early to think about Christmas - but then he think the presents just appear magically ready to be wrapped!

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2021 09:52

From tomorrow, we can say that Christmas is next month! Xmas Grin

I know! I always think November is the month when it is acceptable to mention Christmas prep to those not on this thread!
ConstantlyCooking · 31/10/2021 10:25

I may also begin to add some Christmassy books to my reading from Monday.

TheWoollybacksWife · 31/10/2021 16:32

Afternoon all. Crazy windy weather here today. My breakfast was interrupted as I chased the BBQ cover round the garden. There's trees down all over town and there's a possibility that DS's trains will be affected for his return to school tomorrow.

I nipped down to see why earlier and I'm now drinking a cup of tea and eating a Booth's brownie - thank you Fluffy
