Hot, sweaty, night. I was woken a couple of times by various noises (I think a child upstairs fell out of bed for one of them 😱🤣)...might claim the money back; haven't done it for a while!

I slept loads (from 11 - 7:30) and feel so much better for it. Still sound like a croaky frog though!

I finished the cross stitch card image last night - lettering and backstitch today, then it’s on to crochet a cushion for my auntie.

I did, it was negative so it seems DH had Covid and I've just picked up some random bug.
We've been quite lucky really - I've escaped it (for now) and his symptoms have been very mild.

Your everyday journeys sound so interesting - although I remember saying that to a man who we met while we were away and he was surprised we'd find moose walking by something interesting enough to stop and look at never mind talk about. He said he saw them so often it was a bit like "the British and sheep" 😂

Update on the 💩
He's been fine today and so far I've managed to avoid it too. Well done, Crazy I bought some Imodium, so it can go in the cupboard with all the other OTC meds that don't really get used/end up out of date when you really need them.
Wreck the most interesting thing on my journey this morning was an HGV on my side of the road 😱 coming straight at me. I'll admit, at that point, I did think I'd need new pants myself...

We passed very close to you today, Puss, coming up the non-'smart' motorway route! We ended up coming over the toll bridge onto the M57. Interesting route...far nicer than the godawful M6. If I never go on that road again between home and the end of the smart motorway it'll be too soon.

I feel like I'm meeting myself coming back at the moment. We've had a lovely half term - last one before I go back to work in January, so wanted to make the most of it, but we just haven't stopped, so rescheduled tomorrow's plans, and we'll just have a lazy day.

We're having the opposite 💩 problem - DD hasn't been since Monday. We're trying to persuade her to eat prunes to see if that helps! The things you do...

Also - 8 weeks today is Christmas Eve

I asked my DS if he wanted a selection box or a big bar of chocolate , he said he wanted chewy sweets ( he's not much of a chocolate eater really) so I might buy him a couple of the JellyTot/Fruit Pastille tubes .
DD will go for a selection box I think .

DH was brave enough to suggest we take her shopping tomorrow ( is he Mad? ) she's a Shopping Ninja .
He'll just be there to carry the bags and get out the debit card !

Our female cat has a bit of a dogdy tum /runny poo if she eats snails but I wouldn't recommend them to cure constipation

We didn't wake up until 8.30, which was nice. And unusual after a late night for me...must've been exhausted from the gig! 🤣🤣

Good morning all. I have posted for a while because we were busy at work, I was trying to find petrol and I have been on holiday with DH. We left DD house- sitting. Christmas prep has fizzled out although I have my GH Christmas magazine plus Nigel Slater to get my Yuletide mojo back. This week I plan to make Christmas cakes, check if we need more Christmas vodka and do my Christmas stocktake where I try to find all the bits i lost and couldn't find last year I have bought and stashed during the year. Most importantly I have used some Boots points to buy the Advent calendar.

We have bright blue skies here, it's crisp and lovely outside. I felt like a mn cliche this morning - I've just got back from a little walk to the local shops for potatoes, carrots (greengrocer) and bread (bakery) 😂

Finally finished my last cross stitch card last night. I'm taking a craft break today to get my house in order (it's tidy but it needs a clean because I've been too ill and too busy looking after DH to really stay on top of it).

I'm going to put a roast on, do some washing, sort the house then spend the evening making a decent dent in my Christmas shopping.

Who was playing at the hot sweaty gig Fluffy ( for I am a nosey article)

I'm making a late breakfast , will send DH up in the loft for the Hallowe'en pumpkin and sort out DD Christmas Bedding ( needs washed ) and her Advent Calendar .

I'm very tired. Woke up at 10:15 and feel so fuzzy headed. We didn't get home until 2:10 though 😴

Just waiting for the food delivery which has some annoying subs in it so dh will have to go to Tesco after work (he left before 8 this morning so much be exhausted!).

It's beautiful here...the sun is out, one of the cats has gone for a nap on the sofa in the conservatory, DH has joined in...😴
