To be honest, it's DS who's the problem. DD on her own is good as gold! I could willingly throw myself into a vat of wet concrete to get away from DS in Dobbies! 😭😭

I am threatening to take DS shopping for workwear (he's not keen )
I bought him trousers , 3 shirts , couple of ties , a belt and shoes .
He wants a smarter pair of shoes and for that he needs to go to the shop . And he needs some nice trousers (not sure if he'll need a suit ? He's got a smart outdoor jacket )

H&M is his haunt for casual clothes they suit his lanky frame .
After 30 minutes I'll be searching for a barrel of wet cement too Xmas Grin

I have bought 23 of DD Beauty Advent items ( Hurrah! ) just got to get Day 24 ( The Big One) and some Dec 1st Box bath/shower (probably from Lush)

Morning!

I slept like the dead last night...I always do after a stint of digging at the allotment! I'm just coming round slowly before getting up!

I need to try to get ahead of myself today, if possible, as I have 2 days off this week. Time will tell how that goes!

WreckTangled · 25/10/2021 07:39

I've got Friday off this week. Ds is going to holiday club and dd is going to a friends today. Two months until Christmas! Ds is watching Christmas chronicles.

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/10/2021 09:25

I'm going shopping with my DDs this morning. There will definitely be a visit to M&S and Hobbycraft

CrazyBaubles · 25/10/2021 10:25

Please report back on the Hobbycraft Christmas stuff Woolly - I keep getting emails from them about sales and deals so may put an order in later (dependent on their Christmas stamp collection).

I am shattered today. Not sure why but I couldn't sleep last night and my cold symptoms are a bit worse today. Negative LFT though 🙄
Bit stressed as DH said his chest is feeling a bit tight but work is under control (for now) so I'm taking an early finish today.

It's grey and drizzly here - perfect CCF weather, especially as I'm working on the cross stitch Christmas card for DHs grandmother Xmas Smile

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 10:39

I can't get "Great Movies! Christmas" (ch51) - our transmitter doesn't transmit it, apparently even though it's 2021 Hmm
On Sunday night, 7pm (Halloween) my absolute favourite CCF is on.
"On Strike For Christmas" 😍
I'm just a little bit more pissed off than I was at not being able to receive the channel. 😡

Woolly enjoy your shopping trip.

NerosFiddle · 25/10/2021 17:26

Afternoon.

I've had to take a couple of paracetamol there. My throat is really sore. Bloody typical. I haven't been away in nearly 2 years and on Wednesday we're supposed to go to Edinburgh and Halloween is DS birthday.

Puss I can't get that channel either 😢

WreckTangled · 25/10/2021 17:35

Hope dh is ok crazy

We popped into hobbycraft Sunday, they were still getting some Christmas stuff out so I was underwhelmed especially after the marvel that was the garden centre.

Can't wait to watch the rubbish Christmas films. Not sure when I will manage it now though as I'm working five days a week and when the dc are home they usually have control of the tv Hmm

Neros hope your throat improves quickly. Can you get some difflam? It's meant to be really good.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 18:13

Nero can your DH get some antisceptic throat spray (and yes, I know I've spelled that wrong) Grin it numbs it with anaesthetic. Mine was like that for a couple of hours on Fri and Sat - I think it was heating on/lack of ventilation DH kept closing the windows
Next week Channel 5 kick off their CCF afternoons Xmas Grin so that will have to do.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 18:16

Oh, one other thing Nero I did an LFT (neg) but had sinus pain on the same side and behind my eye the next day, bending over really hurt - it felt like my eye was going to pop...DH had exactly the same 24 hrs after me, better after 48hrs, gone completely after 72hrs.
Could just be a bug 🤞

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/10/2021 18:33

I asked DH about that channel ( 51) he said "Yes we have it but I always scan past it really fast " Xmas Shock
Need to check out On Strike For Christmas

Rudolf Day today

I have bought already the DC ADvent Calendars and I;m debating if they deserve a Selection Box/Big Bar of Chocolate in their Dec 1st Hampers . They have not been Good All Year beieve me Xmas Grin

I'm gearing up for Hallowe'en .
Then DD will demand her Christmas Bedding on Nov 1st - I bought her new brushed cotton little stags on the duvet/pillows and little trees on the sheet/extra pillows .

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 25/10/2021 19:13

I have seen some lovely Christmas bedding on various adverts in the last few days. It is not something I would go for but even I am tempted this year.

One of our patients shit all over my leg yesterday and I am still feeling traumatised by it (they did it on purpose as well which makes it worse).

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/10/2021 19:23

OMG why that's horrific. Accidents are bad enough but deliberately 😱

Shopping trip was semi successful. Despite visiting a fairly large M&S they didn't have anything in store that appealed to either DD (PJs and undies) but we were able to sit in Costa and order online. Same with the makeup from Superdrug. I did get the cards and the gift bags I went for and the fabric from Hobbycraft that I wanted

I don't think Hobbycraft had their full Christmas range out yet. There were some stamps, fabric, card making bits and bobs and plenty of ribbon.

The Buck's Fizz in M&S was still full price 🤬

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 25/10/2021 19:43

Woolly it has to be one of the most hideous things I have had the misfortune to experience and believe me I have had some grim moments.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/10/2021 19:56

Eurgh whydoes
You must feel like sandpapering your own skin to the bone and cleansing it with Vim on a Brillo Pad !

Only acceptable to shit on your leg if your patient is a teeny baby

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 19:57

Woolly I managed to walk past Hobbycraft last week, I'm saving it for November, hopefully there will be something left for me... Xmas Hmm
why that's awful Shock I hope you get work to pay for new uniform, there's no way in this universe I'd wear that again bag it up and dump it on your managers desk with a "polite" note

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 20:03

70 Charlie (when a kitten) once pooed on me, but he'd been outside for the first time...I should have known. He's indoors only now as he seems allergic to anything "outdoors" including our shoes, we have to take them off at the door and move them in the cupboard 😽

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 25/10/2021 20:54

I actually felt like sawing the leg off 70! Extreme maybe but bllleeurgh.

The trousers have gone into the bin Puss. I was going to wash them but decided against it whilst smelling them sealed in a bag all the way home.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 21:04

why, I did something similar to my dads slippers when he "gave" them to me in hospital after an "accident" I had bought replacements ...they didn't get to the car.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 21:06

Bin, that is...I didn't put them on someone's desk. That would be a bit extreme, even for me! 😂

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 25/10/2021 21:07

I don't blame you Puss. Some things are above and beyond in my opinion.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 21:08

Some of his pyjamas may have gone in the same bin tbh...it was cheaper to save my sanity buy new ones than buy a new washing machine at that point.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/10/2021 21:11

why, yes. and I may have visited the gates of that particular place before coming to my senses running away.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/10/2021 21:40

why, I did something similar to my dads slippers

I skim read this pussycat and thought you'd shit in your Dad's slippers ......................... thankfully you just disposed of them Xmas Grin
