H&M have these lovely rainbow plates in stock again for £6.99. I bought them when the kids items had 20% off but they're still lovely at full price. They're actually bigger than they look, I'm going to put fruit and ice cream 'clouds' on the ends Wink you could use them as ornamental too. Just mentioning as they are in stock and fun to look at so may be a nice gift.

@Vebrithien I tried NEWGIRL15 and it didn't work.

Costco has loads of really good books at good prices and delivery is included in the price. Costco Books such as complete Rolad Dahl £20.99, Julia Donaldson 10 book £12.99, Usbourne Peep Inside 4 book £12.99, etc.

Fuckingfuckssake · 14/09/2021 12:14

@BadgerFace

The Smiggle Advent calendar is down from £30 to £25 today. I got drawn in by a very rare trip to a real shop. It’s huge! It is on sale online as well.
If anyone's gutsy enough to wait until the end of November, they usually drop them to around £16. They are nice calenders though.
torthecatlady · 14/09/2021 12:24

@PinkDaydreams Thanks for the heads up on the sauce, mine isn't due for delivery until Monday so will have a look when it arrives.

Ourlady · 14/09/2021 12:25

Diabetes UK have a nice selection of pop out Xmas cards. They're not cheap-£3.95 each but they're cute and different and children will love them. Great cause too.

Muck Boots currently have the 'Liberty' range at half price on a flash sale, seem to be selling out of sizes fast though. Still not cheap but brilliant if you're buying for anybody who is outside a lot in muddy weather!

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight

Not Christmas, but on a mission to find one of these glass pumpkins for my friends birthday in Home Bargains. Anyone seen any in the SE? I know eBay are flogging expensive ones but on principle I don’t want to do that.
They had them in Whitstable/faversham

sorryiasked · 14/09/2021 12:41

books4people have some tarot card sets, crystal healing books, and teen book sets. I'm sure there was a discount code floating around too but not sure if it will work on clearance items

BestofLuck · 14/09/2021 12:46

Thanks for the Pound Puppy heads up - ordered one for my 80s loving DD.

Picked up a couple of these brownie skillet kits in B&M for £4 each - proper heavy skillet! They also had themed Xbox and PS4 stuff like a lava lamp and mugs which may be good for gaming fans.

Also noticed in Smyths a few HP Lego sets were on offer. Didn’t look closely but included the potions class scene.

I haven’t been to b and m or home bargains in ages, have they got all their Halloween stuff in (apart from the elusive glass pumpkins)?
Dc’s Birthday is on Halloween, I want to get party decorations etc

Raindancer411 · 14/09/2021 12:46

I got my scrabble duplicate and was bigger than I expected. I thought it would have been a small box after some reviews but for £4.50 in Argos, it's a bargain!!

Also I managed to get my son a dairy free advent in Sainsbury’s. Only two on the shelf and at £2.50, it's good for a free from item.

Sideorderofchips · 14/09/2021 12:50

Lego ice cream truck is back on offer on amazon

DamitJamit · 14/09/2021 13:03

Cant decide if I want a velvetiser or not. Only me and DS drink hot chocolate and we definitely wouldnt be buying the hotel chocolat sachets to use. What's it like with other chocolate or hot chocolate powders as it says on the website you can only use theirs? DH likes a latte can you froth the milk for one in it? Would I be better off with one of the hot chocolate shakers? Or a milk frother thing? 😅 sorry for all the questions but it seems quite a few people on the thread might have some insight

Maranello · 14/09/2021 13:09

Thanks @spudsuliked - nice to be able to help each other out with some money off Smile

BestofLuck · 14/09/2021 13:09

I didn’t even think to look in the Halloween section. They did have Halloween fancy dress hanging up at the ends of various aisles so I should think they’ve got a lot of stock now.

Managed to grab the last £7.50 chocolates from my M&S. Didn't even know what they were until I found them but they look great Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 14/09/2021 13:24

On the news at 1, the news presenter said that 25% of people have starts shopping due to predicted shortages etc. I do wish they'd stop prompting others to join in! Xmas Grin

buckeejit · 14/09/2021 13:25

@DamitJamit we love the velvetiser, it's a winter treat, more for dh & dc than me but an easy way to have a treat night. People recommended pendragon hot choc last year so I bought lots but it's full of sugar & I wouldn't buy it again. Charbonnel & Walker hot choc is nice but not much cheaper now that hotel choc.

I would love to find another decent hot choc seller for flakes with no added sugar
