My Hype (men's) stuff has arrived already. The extra 25% off for £125 of sale items in the basket means ds gets a really decent sized bundle of clothes. Like some others I add his annual clothing budget to his birthday/Xmas budget so it feels like he gets more to open

Gilead · 14/09/2021 13:34

this is a bargain site for clothes.
Ordered frequently, never had any bother. Caveat: I’ve never had to return anything.

MahMahMahMahCorona · 14/09/2021 13:34

@PinkDaydreams

For those who have bought the Joe and Steph's sauce, check the expiry date on the bottom! Just received my two jars but it needs eating within the next four weeks! Not happy as I'd planned on gifting them for Xmas

Aw shucks. 🤣

Choccymumma · 14/09/2021 13:36

Been to M and S today, got the biscuit and tea tins, Colin stirrers and the light up gin! Missed out last year.
Been on these threads for years and often wondered if I'm shopping amongst other mumsnetters! Wanted to shout "Oh FFS Colin" to see who smiled Grin

Choccymumma · 14/09/2021 13:36

Thats a lie, I got the light up RUM not gin

Dolphintrainer · 14/09/2021 13:40

@NoWordForFluffy 🤣🤣

Nonamenoplacetogo · 14/09/2021 13:45

@Vebrithien do the dresses have pockets??

MahMahMahMahCorona · 14/09/2021 13:46

@BestofLuck

Thanks for the Pound Puppy heads up - ordered one for my 80s loving DD.

Picked up a couple of these brownie skillet kits in B&M for £4 each - proper heavy skillet! They also had themed Xbox and PS4 stuff like a lava lamp and mugs which may be good for gaming fans.

Also noticed in Smyths a few HP Lego sets were on offer. Didn’t look closely but included the potions class scene.

@BestofLuck these look great - how large are the skillets? OH has asked for a skillet for his October birthday so if they're small at £4 I may just have to buy a few...

Notlongnow1 · 14/09/2021 13:50

Just been to m&s to buy biscuit tins. Love the musical gingerbread too. But my absolute favourite is the Halloween haunted house one 😍

pennygirl26 · 14/09/2021 13:54

Not Christmas but hoping someone can help, my daughter has been asked to buy white Nike 270s and needs then for the weekend but she's 5 and at £65 a pair it makes me feel a bit sick. Does anyone have any discounts for JD , footlocker , Schuh or somewhere that sells them ?

CamdenLurker · 14/09/2021 13:54
@DamitJamit we love the velvetiser, it's a winter treat, more for dh & dc than me but an easy way to have a treat night. People recommended pendragon hot choc last year so I bought lots but it's full of sugar & I wouldn't buy it again. Charbonnel & Walker hot choc is nice but not much cheaper now that hotel choc.

I would love to find another decent hot choc seller for flakes with no added sugar
Just grate whatever chocolate you prefer, it works! You can even stick it in a food processor.

makingmiracles · 14/09/2021 13:58

For whiskey drinkers amazon and Sainsbury’s both have haig club whiskey 70cl down from £25 to £16.

It’s one of my dps favourite, he usually has it with ginger beer and a drop of lime juice, hes says that’s near enough exactly how their premixed cans taste like.

theclockticksslowly · 14/09/2021 14:09

Just a suggestion for anyone going to Asda - I went to my local one this morning and had a look at the rollback toys. I saw the large Lego box mentioned on here apparently going for £25 - it was still marked at £49 on the main shelf. Walking around I saw another display of toys including the same Lego box but marked at £25. There was a Duplo box similarly marked higher on the main shelf compared with the other display. Probably not limited to these two but those are the ones I took note of.

So if you’re going to Asda for toys and think the shelf prices don’t actually seem much of bargain, it might actually be worth double checking the price with a member of staff.

(As an aside, I went to Asda looking for that Lego fish tank that has been mentioned on here - £18. My DD will be thrilled at Christmas!)

Sorry if this has already been posted. Just seen an Elemis deal on QVC TSV pre-launch. It's a 4 piece Elemis pro-collagen collection for £67.98 + £3.95 p&p. According to the website it's a massive 70% saving. Don't forget to use a referral code for £10 off.

How much are the Christmas tins? I might get a couple when the beauty advent calendar is released as will probably need to spend £25 to get it for £40.

Goodness!! What does she need them for? It seems an awful lot of money for a five year olds shoes!

I don't know! I've never got any of the dresses, I just happened to remember the code Confused

FireworkParrot · 14/09/2021 14:33

@DamitJamit

Cant decide if I want a velvetiser or not. Only me and DS drink hot chocolate and we definitely wouldnt be buying the hotel chocolat sachets to use. What's it like with other chocolate or hot chocolate powders as it says on the website you can only use theirs? DH likes a latte can you froth the milk for one in it? Would I be better off with one of the hot chocolate shakers? Or a milk frother thing? 😅 sorry for all the questions but it seems quite a few people on the thread might have some insight
It works well with normal powdered hot chocolate you definitely don't have to buy the Hotel Chocolat stuff and ours is predominantly used to froth milk for lattes, we love it.
Fuckingfuckssake · 14/09/2021 14:43

@Nonamenoplacetogo I bought the dresses, no
pockets sadly.

BestofLuck · 14/09/2021 14:45

@MahMahMahMahCorona I’d class them as small, about 10cm in diameter. Nice and heavy though!

Thank you - so perfect for a one person dessert day? Might have to buy four... 🤣

recklessgran · 14/09/2021 14:52

@pennygirl26 I've pm'd you a JD code.
Hey @Vebrithien - great to see you back here - how's our thread baby E.?

Notlongnow1 · 14/09/2021 14:52

@windows1 they are £5 each

yoshiblue · 14/09/2021 15:17

@DamitJamit I have hot chocolate periodically and the shaker is fine for me. Unless you're going to be drinking tons of the stuff I wouldn't be spending that much money. I've used flakes from M&S and Amazon sell different brands too.

Billyandemily · 14/09/2021 15:28

Hi just starting with Christmas this year. I need a telescope for a 8yr old. Not to expensive but not rubbish. Also what size bikes are your 11 year old boys riding?
