@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah

Can anyone recommend something small in size the grandparent's can buy my 4yo boy that's not lego? They have a terrible habit of buying something HUGE in size that we just can't accommodate so would rather prompt them. I already know what he's getting from elsewhere so can't afford to give up anymore space. It's his bday in three weeks on top of Christmas 😬
I’d second the idea of a voucher or, even better, an annual pass to somewhere. Failing that, what about something for outdoors? You can get some great bug hotels or hedgehog houses for kids to build and will keep him interested in wildlife.

@Haveyoubrushedyourteeth thank you for the washimals tip- gutted as I didn't get chance to check in last night so missed it!

Please share again if it reduces.

Thank you

I need a token Christmas present for newly weds, have no idea of their taste (in their 30s), budget around £10 max. My mum asked me to get it for their friend's child (and new husband) that they will see just before Christmas.

Those bargain personalised chopping boards from last year's thread would have been ideal!

I would get them Hotel Chocolat if you don't know them well

Christmas bauble or decoration from Etsy? They have some lovely ones.
DollyPartBaked · 16/09/2021 07:26

I think alcohol / chocolates / other consumables. Anything for the home is a bit risky (but this is coming from someone with a small house so no storage space and always decluttering!)

FunWithFlags81 · 16/09/2021 07:26

Thanks everyone for the tips for dairy and soya free chocolate, I’ll take a look. I find some of the free from stuff clashes with some of his other allergies, liquid chickpea in chocolate brownie anyone?? 😂

Now to find a tin to put them all in!

LemonCake79 · 16/09/2021 07:28

@NightOwl19, my 9yo DD has the Hobbycraft sewing machine linked up thread. It's good for the money and you can change the speed to 'low' which helps them learn.

Went to put the bin out and noticed a box beside it...been in the house a few hours and no notes left from delivery driver...it was my Fossil bag! I say mine, it's for my SIL but I did put it on and double check I definitely didn't want it 🤣. It's lovely and I was a bit torn bit really I have too many bags any way. Apparently my wallets are coming separately

WisestIsShe · 16/09/2021 07:42

@Riverhouse did you get a dispatch email from fossil? I have an order confirmation but nothing since the 10th. Perhaps I'm too used to Prime delivery

ScarlettDarling · 16/09/2021 07:45

The Beauty heroes beauty box from Next is a great buy. It’s £20 and I’d use all of the bits in it unlike most beauty boxes.

If you have no idea of their taste I honestly would stick to a good bottle of cava/prosecco for £10. M&S £10 one is nice. Or the supermarkets usually have champagne on offer that's not far off that, I've seen them for £14.
TheGriffle · 16/09/2021 08:10

I placed a click and collect order at Asda for the Lego Fishtank (£18.00) and the Barbie Care Centre (£35.00) as I didn’t want to trek down there to find they didn’t have them and they are in stock! My order is ready to collect this morning so I’m very happy. Thank you to the posters who mentioned them.

My fossil order is due to be delivered today Smile

Just wondering if anyone knows of a discount code for Hunter wellies?

Thanks for this, I’m going to split it between me & dd as I’m doing her a diy beauty calendar. Plus some nice treats for me because now the darker nights are coming I’ve decided to aim for some daily me time.
Riverhouse · 16/09/2021 08:31

@WisestIsShe I ordered the bag and watches on the 10th, got a dispatch email for bag the same day and it came yesterday. I got a dispatch email for the wallets yesterday.

IggyAce · 16/09/2021 08:31

Boden extra 20% off all sale

Code in picture for 20% off everything at Whitestuff

Thread 6: Oh FFS Colin!
WisestIsShe · 16/09/2021 08:37

Thanks @Riverhouse. I see it's dropped off my pending charges on the bank account. Don't think it's looking good.

spudsuliked · 16/09/2021 08:37

Extra 15% off at ASOS that works on sale, good for teen bits or I managed to get the hunter boots that we wants for Christmas down to £61 which is much healthier than the 90 odd they were last week (or the 72 I bought them for yesterday and will be returning!)

spudsuliked · 16/09/2021 08:38

Oops code would help! It's EXTRA15

WisestIsShe · 16/09/2021 08:40

@EvilHerbivore thanks for the book tip!

Riverhouse · 16/09/2021 08:58

@WisestIsShe I hope they come for you. So annoying selling stuff and then cancelling the order
