@sittingonacornflake

Anyone else feeling a bit obsessed with scouring the internet for bargains thanks to this thread?!
Yes me! And checking this thread constantly too so I don't miss out on anything!😂
Clarabellybutton · 15/09/2021 21:21

Severals whisky reduced on Amazon. Sorry, can't get link to work without posting my Amazon details, but if you search on single malt whisky they come up.

alwaysraining123 · 15/09/2021 21:25

Not sure if this is good value or not but £2.99 for playmobil pony and girl

alwaysraining123 · 15/09/2021 21:28

Between £3-4 elsewhere so not a massive bargain but convenient from Amazon.

DollyPartBaked · 15/09/2021 21:40

Can anyone recommendations for my DN who will be 16 months at Christmas? She has an older sister so they have quite a lot of stuff already but I would still like to get her a decent present (not a lot of extended family who buy for them!)

shash1982 · 15/09/2021 21:42

sittingonacornflake Definitely! Everytime I see any discounts I automatically think of this thread! Grin

sorryiasked · 15/09/2021 21:56

@Fartymcfart some minecraft options here

FunWithFlags81 · 15/09/2021 22:02

Hi, can anyone tell me about the tins from Home Bargains/B&M/M&S please - my little boy has a lot of food allergies so I’m thinking about filling my own chocolate tin because we can’t have a tin of roses! Are they this sort of size or too small do you think?

Also if anyone has any ideas for dairy and soya free, individually wrapped Christmassy sweets or chocolate then I’d love to hear?

Tinysnickers · 15/09/2021 22:07

@funwithflags81 Beaubaba online have a wide range of choc and I'm pretty sure some is df, and they get lots of xmas special stuff in. They already have moofree adveny calendars and selection boxes in the Christmas section and they may well have more coming.

Twilightstarbright · 15/09/2021 22:12

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah I’d echo a yoto player or a tonie player. My 4 yo uses his tonie player everyday and it’s very easy to suggest new stories as a gift.

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 15/09/2021 22:32

Thanks @SpamIAm for the book. Those books are lovely.

For the poster asking about ticket to ride, definitely go straight for TTR Europe.

Cherryrainbow · 15/09/2021 22:37

Picked up some bits from the range today as they were putting xmas stock out. Heads up they have loads of 10m wrapping paper for £1. I got a string garland thing with red bells and leaves on for 5.49, a small wooden reindeer Dec for my daughters room for 1.99 and a game called game of gnomes for 3.99.

Went to b&m for sacks - managed to get an A and H for my kids but blooming typical of all the letters they didn't have it was S for my stepson :( going to pop in every few days to check as the assistants did say there will be more delivered x

MerylSqueak · 15/09/2021 22:42

@Fartymcfart My DS 11 likes collecting minerals. You can get sets called Junior Geo but we usually buy individual ones from UKGE.

He likes his Oodie, the book Why is Snot Green?, Star Wars Black Series and Bunny Vs Monkey books.

Dreamingofwalden · 15/09/2021 22:42

@NightOwl19 my sister bought me the John Lewis one 10 years ago and it’s nice and compact. I found it light and easy to use. I’ve upgraded since but it was a great starter machine.

Dreamingofwalden · 15/09/2021 22:45

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah I echo a Yoto player if their budget will stretch that far. If not how about a VTech Kiddizoom camera? They’re pretty small and lots of fun for a little one. Often bargains to be had too.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2021 22:46

@FunWithFlags81, try this site for dairy / soya free chocolate.

Voiceofreason92 · 15/09/2021 22:48

Sorry if it’s been mentioned but Smiggle are having a sale at the minute with some stock half price. Theres a couple of lunch boxes, pencil cases and backpacks at a fairly reasonable price

Dreamingofwalden · 15/09/2021 22:50

Final post! Blush

I went to Home Bargains today hoping to find some Christmas bits. I found the cute tins but the main thing that made me happy was a turntable for the fridge. Definitely not a Christmas present for anyone but may help control my condiments at Christmas 🎄. I loved the Home Edit this year and had been wanting to buy a turntable thing from John Lewis but £12 was a bit steep for me. £2.99 from Home Bargains was just right. Pic of said turntable.

I love these threads so much, thank you to all who contribute!

I remember reading on an earlier thread that somebody recommended wrapping stocking fillers in candy striped sweet bags to make the wrapping easier. Do I remember that right and does it work well? If so I'm definitely going to do it!

Raindancer411 · 15/09/2021 22:52

@FunWithFlags81 Loving the name!! Big Bang addict at all?? Dairy free wise, asda do some lovely individually wrapped truffles last year. Wasn't too dear. Coin wise Sainsbury's ones are lovely and they also do dairy free shapes chocolates. Do not touch the Tesco free from kitchen ones, they tasted of sawdust...

Oh and Sainsbury's have dairy free chocolate advents in for £2.50. Lovely chocolate and reasonable price!

Raindancer411 · 15/09/2021 22:53

@FunWithFlags81 Have to say I am not 100 per cent they are soya free but it usually uses coconut and rice in. I can check the advent tomorrow if you needed me too but asda bits will need checking when they come in

DinosaurOfFire · 15/09/2021 23:52

@FunWithFlags81 Moo Free is soya free usually, as they were the only chocolate mine could eat for a while, they often do santa shapes and so on. Nomo is another one, they have just started doing these lollies nomochoc.com/products/kids-creamy-chocolate-lollies Which I found in Sainsburys the other day. Both Moo Free and Nomo have smaller bars and also advent calendars. I find that all supermarket brand free-from chocolates have soya lecthins in. If you're looking for something a little special ad still allergy friendly for the adults, then Booja Booja truffles are amazing and both soya and dairy free- I had some as a gift when I was breastfeeding my last allergy baby and they are by far the best luxury df sf treats I have ever had. They aren't bargainous though!

pennygirl26 · 16/09/2021 00:48
