@Sleepdeprivedzombie

I bought the wrong cinnamon buns - doh!
Me too :( Did get one with the trays and ordered 2nd one thinking it's the same, but will use it myself so all is not lost
Dolphintrainer · 11/09/2021 16:05

@Mamtoothree thanks for the chocolate post, I’ve ordered it to be sent to my DS’s Uni accommodation as a little treat surprise to be delivered after we drop him off next weekend.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 11/09/2021 16:15

@Fuckingfuckssake ....aah, thank you!

I was convinced I wouldn't because of the wait, no communication from H&B and then a couple of vague MyHermes emails about delays.

Don't lose hope folks Grin

Daisy829 · 11/09/2021 16:15

@Haveyoubrushedyourteeth yes canvases are a good idea actually. Both of the girls like them.

CasparBloomberg · 11/09/2021 16:43

Thanks, got a couple of lovely Fossil Wallets for the male stockings!

TellMeDinosaurFacts · 11/09/2021 16:50

Does anyone know of a gift list app that allows multiple users to share a record of what's been bought for whom, which will allow access via both android and ios? My husband and I would like to share a to keep up with what each other has bought, ideally on a nice quick app like GiftList rather than something like a onedrive or dropbox file, but he has an iphone and I have a Samsung and I can't find anything that would work...

Councillorbrian · 11/09/2021 16:59

Just got an ordnance survey map for DH's stocking for 30% off plus free delivery at dash4it

dash4it.co.uk/

Also, lots of nice bits on sale at Jacques of London, especially if you like wooden toys. There is a sale sub tan in the drop down menu. This looks to the toy sale,

www.jaqueslondon.co.uk/collections/toys-sale

But they also have a games sale and
outdoor sale section.

TellMeDinosaurFacts · 11/09/2021 17:09

Ah, if anyone is interested, I've partly answered my own question by finding mygiftlistapp.com
It's not perfect as it's designed to be more like a wedding registry list rather than allowing joint list editors, but it is workable.

2020isoverthankgoodness · 11/09/2021 17:22

M&S - @MerylSqueak and @NoWordForFluffy, I had a 20% offer for several categories of clothing recently, with my Sparks card.

That might be because I started using the card again (for food, still avoiding them for clothes) after a long break. I haven’t had the general 20% off everything yet.

Sisisimone · 11/09/2021 17:25
@Sisisimone maybe try contacting customer service? My friend had heard nothing and after eventually getting through to them it was discovered they were in the warehouse and had been overlooked. Arrived yesterday. Might be worth a try. They do seem to be honouring purchases people have made.🤞
Thanks Maharajah20. I've just got notification that they're on their way. Never been so excited over a dispatch email Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 11/09/2021 17:31

That's interesting, @2020isoverthankgoodness. I've bought odds and sods from there recently, but I think it's about 3 months since my last offers.

Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo · 11/09/2021 17:32

Scamp and Dude do really cool (IMO) hoodies etc and have a great sale atm. hoodies

HungryHippo11 · 11/09/2021 17:46

@TwinsandTrifle it must just be the hype. I've googled the initial stocking and they're just red stocking with initials on? Or am I looking at the wrong thing? I don't see why anyone would be that fussed about them if there were loads available, its the exclusivity factor.

CarrieMoonbeams · 11/09/2021 17:51

Thanks to the PP who linked to the Yankee Candle site. I didn't get a WoodWick, but the large Yankee jars are buy one, get one for a fiver. I got 2 and a car air freshener for £31.80, free delivery.

TummyTurtle · 11/09/2021 18:03

@TellMeDinosaurFacts you could possibly make this work with Wishlistr. It's not an app bit it's a mobile friendly website. You could create an account, and list all the gifts you want to buy (or write names if you don't know what you're planning to get). You and your partner can then access the list and click reserved. You don't need to have an account to tick things off. I think when you click reserved you just write your name - you could also write what the gift is.

Hope that makes some sense!

Great idea! Just ordered one for hubby who does lots of walking with the dogs. Thanks everso
shash1982 · 11/09/2021 18:07

Does Smyths toy store ever do discounts?
I've got stuff in my basket and just need to decide on what to get DN before checking out.

And.... Would anyone chance buying electrical items this early?
There are a couple of projector lamps my DC would like, not sure whether to order now or wait.

Daisy829 · 11/09/2021 18:14

M&S today had some bottles of rose prosecco down from £15 to £7.50. Apparently they were part of a promotion and they want to shift the stock. I don’t think it’s in every store but worth checking if you are popping in. I got 1 as a gift & 2 for me.

RainbowPhilosophy · 11/09/2021 18:43

Thank you to whoever posted about the Fossil discounts. Just got a £55 wallet for my uncle for £10.11 and a £42 wallet for my dad for £17.26. They're always hard to buy for so this is great, and free delivery too Smile So goods with RRP of £97 for £27.37.

TellMeDinosaurFacts · 11/09/2021 18:58

@TummyTurtle thank you so much- I'll check that out! I think the other option I've found is to use a standard family organizer App that allows list sharing.

Tinysnickers · 11/09/2021 19:13

@rainbowphilosophy is it just the price that shows on the sale then the 15% newsletter code? Or is there another code that stacks too?

Wolfcub · 11/09/2021 19:14

Cinnamon bun kit was th the tins back at £ 3.08

Wolfcub · 11/09/2021 19:17

And I'm on the lookout for a cheap kids telescope or something else space related to boost a gift from the royal observatory
