Cinnamon bun went back to £3.08 again!

This might be a strange request but does anybody have any recommendations for a toy pig, maybe like an interactive pet type one? Not looking for a soft toy one and we already have schleich ones, just something for my piggy obsessed 3 year old haha

CamdenLurker · 10/09/2021 09:20

@LikeSilver

This is a bit random, but has anyone seen a marmalade advent calendar on their travels? DH wants one. I suggested bon maman but apparently the flavours are too fancy 🙄 and he really wants marmalade.
Last year we got a Duerr's advent calendar for FIL, it was a mix of Jams and marmalade.
Jumpingintosummer · 10/09/2021 09:22
@Jumpingintosummer yep the “new” one!

They also had the colin advents and a (Very) few light up gins; I didn’t think the gin was as pretty as last year and I still have a bottle of clementine and not keen on the sound of the sugar plum one. I’ll be looking out for the vanilla rum though there was none of it.

drop store not sure if this is working still but I got free delivery this week with code FREESHIP. I got a Whitley Neil parma violet gin with glass set delivered for £22, it’s £28-35 elsewhere. A site worth watching.
@RJnomore1 I will shout if I spot vanilla rum. We still have a bottle of the light up rhubarb and don’t fancy sugar plum either.
Will pop out after school for essential Colin stuff!

@withiceplease

Can someone please point me towards the child's black/rainbow drawing tablet a couple of threads ago? Just the product or brand recommendations would be super even if not a bargain at the moment Thank you
We’ve got one like this for DD and it’s been a big hit www.amazon.co.uk/Arolun-Colorful-Electronic-Graphics-Handwriting-Green/dp/B085XTPHXN/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=lcd+writing+tablet&nav_sdd=aps&qid=1631262357&refinements=p_36%3A428444031&dchild=1&s=computers&pf_rd_p=7870ac20-b473-4d2c-aac1-95f44ae26266&pd_rd_wg=vIWyT&pf_rd_r=5VPKB631BN38EVPTXD3H&pd_rd_w=lZlUk&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&pd_rd_r=acae644a-b9db-4992-908e-3785febfc50a&sr=1-6

John Lewis virtual beauty weekend tickets are available now. £35 for the gold ticket (the £15 doesn’t get you the goody bag) to one of their events gets you an an unbelievable goody bag with Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass, Mac, Elemis and nars to name a few. Well worth it for those that like beauty boxes.

Link because mine was through the app experiences.johnlewis.com/?_gl=146j8ip_gaMTY4NzQwNDI3LjE2MzEyNjUxNjY._ga_S1ZHFBNH86*MTYzMTI2NTE2NS4xLjEuMTYzMTI2NTE3NC4w&_ga=2.78758612.1743586211.1631265166-168740427.1631265166 you do need to sign up for a membership number if you don’t already have one.

Did someone mention Avocado Smash earlier in one of the threads? Sports Direct have it (and some other card games) for £1.50

£5 delivery but some other good bargains on the site like these pineapple socks for £1

Actually the range of Yes Studio stuff seems quite nice for a teenager.

WhyDoesItAlways · 10/09/2021 10:31

Hello, long time lurker here. Thank you all for the fab ideas.

To the PP who asked about reusable shopping bags to use as gift bags - Poundland do some nice Disney themed canvas bags for £1 (obviously Wink). Great for kids and big kids alike. I've seen online people reuse them as cushion covers and to cover those IKEA kallax boxes with too.

Daisy829 · 10/09/2021 10:31

Ugh nothing much in the M&S I went to today although I bagged a£7.50 box of chocs (for me) and some chocolate boogies for the kids for Halloween. Think I’ll have to wait a bit longer or trek to the large food hall.
I noticed in accessorise they have a lovely selection of jewellery in a £10 for 3 offer which included earrings, bracelets, necklaces. Looked decent for teens
Also popped to Sue Ryder and they had some bargain Xmas bits. Pass the parcel for £1, pencils for 25p. I just purchased books!

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 10/09/2021 10:33

Just been to home bargains, managed to get some extra wide wrapping paper 6m for 99p. All of the little chocolate coin tins (nutcracker, fairy, gingerbread man and train) where gone minus the damaged ones. So maybe if you're dead set on then, grab them when you see them, there were loads on Tuesday. No sign of the christnas eve goody box though (although I cant remember what it looked like in the pic I scoured the shop!)

Theimpossiblegirl · 10/09/2021 10:39

My local M&S haven't had much in yet, they have set up the shelves ready for delivery so it looks like it's all sold out but it hasn't actually come in, so don't give up hope.

I was so so tempted until I flicked through the pictures. The gems look like sperm and I can't unsee it!

We've played a very similar game (5 year old) and it was a hit.

I'm on the lookout for board games, or other quiet games for my 5 year old. We play a game together once youngest goes to bed and she loves the 1:1 time! Current favourite is My First Carcassonne. Ticket to Ride First Journey was a bit too complicated for her.

unexpectedthird · 10/09/2021 10:55

@mummymummymummummum Labyrinth is really good though she may need a little help working out the routes to begin with. My DD liked Enchanted Forest at that age too. Some of the Orchard Toys games are still fun then too - Pop to the Shops was always a favourite here.

There's always more traditional games like dominoes and pick up sticks too. They are surprising hits in my house.

IggyAce · 10/09/2021 10:59

Popped to Asda living and they have reduced all the school stationary, I picked up some notebooks for my teen and crayons and felt tips to go with a gift I got my friends kids.
I also have a Colin hot chocolate stirrer and a light up shortbread house, my M&S had a good selection of them and gin, plus chocolates & other biscuits.
