If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

I'm not sure if you'd find them in all stores but I've just bought these 1000 piece double sided jigsaw puzzles reduced to £2.49 each in Aldi.

They had quite a few of these 2 versions . They're really nice looking, a bit more modern than pictures of quaint cottages. Bit of a challenge too without being stupidly hard to do.

@YesIcan3
It arrived by Royal Mail. I think I ordered it a week ago.
It would not recognise my address for delivery and they were so helpful and fixed the glitch on their order form for me.

Smileatthesmallthings · 07/09/2021 14:12

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile I can't tell you about the opinions of a 14year old, but the ball I got for my son's 5th birthday does have WePrintBalls on it in fairly big lettering. Not sure if it's just me who giggled at the name of the website, but just thought I'd mention that it's not just the name printed on it

Tinysnickers · 07/09/2021 14:14

I'd just popped in to post a bargain, and now I've completely forgotten what it was.

Randomly the SUP was a comp on fb from Stanley tools. They seem to have quite a few comps on the go so rec following them - I have a notion there's less of their usual customers that can be bothered entering competitions!

BaaBaaEmily · 07/09/2021 14:20

Does anyone have any good fill your own advent calendar recommendations? Would like to start the tradition for DC rather than the usual Cadbury's one!

ChiaraMontague · 07/09/2021 14:24

@BaaBaaEmily I bought empty Liberty ones on eBay a few years ago, I got 2 for £20 with local pick up (although usually they are more expensive ) they look really nice and have good size boxes for refilling.

I got a lovely house style one in Matalan a few years ago. Little drawers big enough for a smaller item for both my DC. If it was a bigger thing that day (eg a jigsaw or baking items) I’d just leave a mini choc and a little note to look X place. They have great designs and quite sturdy.
Beakerandbungle · 07/09/2021 14:32

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile - my DS is much younger ( nearly 10) but sounds very similar to this big ( despite my best efforts not to make him so image aware). I wouldn’t buy the personalised football for him or his friends as think even if it wasn’t a bit cringe they would prob prefer a decent branded football and wouldn’t really want a named one?

Beakerandbungle · 07/09/2021 14:33

Don’t know if being that bit older at 14 might make a difference though!

oatmilkisntsobad · 07/09/2021 14:43

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile my son at 14 would not have wanted a named one. I think it's more suited to younger children

Dolphintrainer · 07/09/2021 14:48

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile I’m afraid I agree with the previous 2 posters that a brand-conscious 14 year old is probably too old for the personalised football. Definitely would love a branded football though!

Wolfcub · 07/09/2021 14:52

I think at 14 it's not going to be welcomed. My nearly 15 y/o has zero street cred or fashion consciousness and I know he'd put it in a cupboard and it wouldn't see the light of day

recklessgran · 07/09/2021 14:57

I bought the footballs for my 8 and 9 year old great nephews and I think they will like them. [Came yesterday BTW]. I definitely don't think a 14 year old would like them at all , sorry. Also. my H&B beauty box arrived today.

@Reastie less than 10 posts to go!

BaaBaaEmily · 07/09/2021 15:10

Ended up ordering this advent calendar, thought it's worth a go for a fiver!

@Coldilox

Biscuiteers are offering £9 off any order over £30 to celebrate their birthday.

Use the code BIRTHDAYBASH9

Thank you for this! I had never heard of this company before 🤷‍♀️ but have just ordered a Christmas box to be delivered in December for very hard to buy for people. They look gorgeous.
brightwhite · 07/09/2021 15:16

@BaaBaaEmily
I had one of these in the past and it was great and lasted years.

The packets aren't that big so I used Christmas wrapping to wrap up everything then the things that stuck out were more of a 'wow what could that be?!' Grin

Ewock · 07/09/2021 15:44
@Ewock exploding kittens, sushi go, fuse are all good games. Exploding kittens has a bit of a cult following so she may have it already. I think you can also get personalised photo uno cards.
Thanks She definitely has the first 2 but not fuse.

Lolololololol · 07/09/2021 15:47

Sorry, can't remember who posted about a Padle Board? But this is on Wowcher if that helps? Not sure if it's a good deal or not?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 07/09/2021 16:41

@Dolphintrainer or anyone else who might have used cooling towels, there are a lot of them on eBay for 2 or 3 pounds. I can think of a lot of female friends who would love this if you know what I mean (we are all of an age) Do you reckon the cheap ones are the same sort of thing? How do they work?
