Mostly a lurker but excited that George (Asda) have now released their Christmas lines.

In regards to the play food- I had the cake on its own the yr before last and the quality is shocking, it’s tiny and the pieces snap very easily. Due to how small the bits are I would not recommend for under 4s.

Got 2 H&b beauty boxes yesterday, thanks to whoever posted those.
John Lewis decided to refund part of my order, for some reason it went back to them, after a call with customer services they sent a gift card for £6.99 to make up for the fact I’ve had to order the bits again with another delivery charge!

Has anyone made a hamper of fancy pizza toppings for an ooni owner and if so what did you include?

Fueledwithfairydustandgin ooh love that idea, I'm vegetarian so would choose artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers & olives. Home bargains are great for these.

@Daisy829 did you order the golf subscription? I was trying to do it and was struggling to check out. I ended up on Google and they had 1 star reviews on trustpilot (I think I was looking at the correct company!) It's a lot cheaper than anywhere else so now I'm questioning weather to order!

@Fueledwithfairydustandgin there is a loveky sweet and sour pepper kind of Jam you can get from a company called the Bay tree. You see it in farm shop type places and it is amazing on pizza with goats cheese. I'll put a link to it ag the bottom, but I haven't showed around for it or used this shop, just to show you the one I mean. It is soooooo good.

@Fueledwithfairydustandgin capers, herbs (dried) and pesto. Tin of anchovies? One of those long sausages in plastic? Sorry if they are horrid, I'm veggie so not tried them but thinking of pepperoni substitutes.
Do any of the cheeses that last a suspiciously long time keep ok out of the fridge?

@woodwaj yes I managed it. It was a limited time off though so not sure if had ended when you tried. I got him the same subscription last year & haven’t had any probs.

@PinkDaydreams I just had a look at UNiDAYS and no discounts for ASICS at the moment from what I can see unfortunately. Nothing at all from student beans for ASICS. I’ll keep an eye out though

Just a general present related query:

I just set up an Entertainer account and put in the kids birthdays to get discount codes sent ahead of them. DS has his birthday end of January. Does anybody know how far ahead they send the codes? (Thinking could it be used for Christmas presents - DD is in October so that’ll probably used for that if not - as he’ll be 1 and has a lot of hand me down toys!)

Thanks if anybody knows. Could you just create a pretend birthday at Christmas for a code too? Not that I’m going to but wouldn’t it be possible since they don’t ask for evidence?

They send the codes out 3 weeks before the birthday. Also you can add up to 10 children - these can be relatives/ friends as well as your own children. So can just select people you know who are well dispersed throughout the year & then you are never waiting long for a new code!!

Or you could be creative and make up some extra birthdays!!
