I'm planning a sneaky trip to home bargains on the 21st. I've got some training near one so will nip in on the way. Hope I can get some good stocking fillers.

I've had a busy day 🥱

pussycatlickinglollyices · 04/10/2021 19:25

fluffy I'm working on it...might take a while...🤞

Good stuff!

I'm feeling really rather 🤢🤢🤢 Alongside my germs, my period has started, so I'm thinking that the sicky headache is maybe hormonal, not necessarily related to germs. The joys!

WreckTangled · 04/10/2021 19:41

Fluffy dd also has that joy along with her cold. Had a few tears about it this morning but she was fine when she got back from school. In an ideal world she would have had a day chilling, watching tv and eating chocolate and soup but I guess we all have to just suck it up at times.

It's chilly this evening, tomorrow says max of 14° and windy so I guess I'll be sitting with a blanket over me for my lectures via teams all day.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 04/10/2021 21:11

fluffy I get that now...sometimes I think I'm dying...(obvs not yet, at least!) both ends 🤢💩, headache, hot/cold, exhausted. Give it an hour, or a day, and I'm my normal annoying self 🤷‍♀️
Wreck It's horrible to think your DD has years of this still to come, isn't it.
😿

NoWordForFluffy · 04/10/2021 21:25

And...it's raining! 🙄🙄

The painful build up to my period is also an utter delight. Every single part of my innards seems to hurt. It's all very wrong indeed. I detest it.

Hello everyone! I had my induction at uni today and a job interview, so I'm knackered tonight.

Sorry to hear of the poorly peeps. I was rough as houses yesterday. entire body ached, but I had my flu jab Saturday morning so I expect it was that. Fine today!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 04/10/2021 21:38

fluffy would that be the arse javelin? beautiful term which I discovered on MN but suits it perfectly Blush

NoWordForFluffy · 04/10/2021 22:22

No, not arse javelin though I'm no stranger to it, just aching / sore-feeling internal organs. It's weird. And painful.

Morning!

I've been awake ages as I woke up needing a wee and I couldn't get back to sleep. Sigh. Still have the headache, which is great fun. 🙄

Sainsbury's delivery today. And everything is in it that I ordered which is good going (second week running!).

DH is giving blood later. I had to cancel as they don't want ill people, so he took the slot instead! They're getting an O+ person either way!

It's forecast to rain all day today. Where's it all coming from?!

OP posts:
pussycatlickinglollyices · 05/10/2021 07:35

It absolutely hammered down last night, we could hear it bouncing off the roof when we were in bed. Dry now except for a few puddles.
The binmen have been Shock I suspect a few will have been caught out as they normally come late morning and not 7.10am

WreckTangled · 05/10/2021 08:15

It rained a lot here too going by all the puddles. It's sunny now though.
I've got a day of online lectures today, hope it goes ok.

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2021 08:53

We have heavy rain and 40mph winds forecast this afternoon. At school collection time, obvs! Meant to be dry from tomorrow though. Allegedly.

I don't know if I could concentrate on online lectures! I do cross stitch during webinars for work!

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 05/10/2021 09:30

It rained so hard last night I gave up watching tv in the conservatory and listened to music through headphones instead.
Managed to mess up one side of the bag lining but worked it out and completed one before giving up. Will do the other tonight.

I didn't sleep well at all. Have some lovely cramps going on and had really random, horrible dreams that I kept waking up from so I'm assuming hormones are to blame 🙄

Good luck today Wreck. I find training etc online really hard - not sure why but after around 20 mins I find my eyes getting heavy.
Like Fluffy I cross stitch or complete jigsaw puzzles on my iPad if I don't have to be on camera or it's a webinar.

WreckTangled · 05/10/2021 10:14

I suppose I don't know any different though so isn't as hard for me. I do get the heavy eyes though. We break every 50 mins so not too bad.

I've got tinnitus today. Very annoying.

FireflyGirl · 05/10/2021 11:11

Look at this!! 😍😍 I can't justify spending half the weekly shopping bill on a dress she can't wear for 2 years... Can I??

WreckTangled · 05/10/2021 11:13

Wait until Boxing Day and it'll be in the sale!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 05/10/2021 12:36

Firefly if you do buy it, and then put it somewhere "safe", remember to tell us where so we can remind you where it is in 2023 Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2021 17:22

That's a lovely dress, Firefly! I'd definitely wait for the sale though. Xmas Grin

I have tinnitus, Wreck. Sometimes it's barely noticeable. Others, it drives me mad. Too much loud music in my youth! 🙄

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 05/10/2021 20:10

Sale it is 😝

I've bought the Christmas joggers linked to on the bargains thread for DS, though! I had a £3 voucher to use

CrazyBaubles · 05/10/2021 22:23

That dress is lovely Firefly (as are the joggers) - I would definitely wait for the sale.
Have you looked on eBay? My sister buys the kids Christmas clothes from there and sells them the following year. She sent me pics (attached) of dresses which she has her eye on for niece a while ago so it's always worth a look.

I messed up the Santa bag lining tonight - I just couldn't concentrate and I think the tension was wrong on the machine and I couldn't fix it.
I lost my patience with it, plus I've had a bit of a disagreement / bicker with DH too so I'm quietly seething and ready for the day to end now.

On the plus side (and posting purely to cheer myself up), I had an email from Love Crafts about a sale on fat quarters so I bought some tartan ones - I've got some normal ones and some Christmas ones, then I added a cross stitch Christmas card to get the free postage.

Crazy I've been keeping an eye on Facebook marketplace, but also I know there are quite a few outfits in the bag of age 12-18 clothes saved from DS/DN, so I'm trying not to go mad!

I've been awake since 5:30 because the dog made 'I'm going to be sick' noises and I jumped out of bed before I'd opened my eyes 🥱

Ive been reading the poncing thread and fallen down an internet rabbit hole looking at Christmas rubber stamps to decorate gift tags and brown wrapping paper Xmas Grin
