My first Friday working today. Just a half day.

We've got thunder again and lightning.

Had to collect dd from a friends again last night. She got really red swollen eyes. It has happened before at one friends house, twice, so I thought it was their house but this time it was a friends she's stayed with loads of times before so I'm not sure what's going on.

I'm going for my booster today .
It is pi**ing down Biblical Epic stylee ! The cats are forlornly gazing outside , DH saying "You're not going out"
The cats saying Look we were feral kittens , we won't dissolve
But now they're fat lardy domestics , they're staying indoors

DD was wearing her old Winter/Christmas pyjamas ( lovely soft beige with hedgehogs on) yesterday . Must be Autumn .

Sounds like an allergy to something Wreck I used to get it with my Aunts Tortoiseshell cat (he must have known, as he always made a bee-line for me!) and ended up very itchy and a bit breathless - my Mum said I was making it up I'm fine with our tabbies/ginger.
Did she wash her face? could be different laundry detergent?

Just to make you all jealous, the sun is out here and it's a lovely morning.

I thought an allergy too puss but it's thrown me as it's never happened at this house before and she's there almost every weekend. So strange.

If they've bought a different detergent, even just a different perfume but the same brand it could be that? Can you ask the mum? (and find out if they've be trying make-up on)

It's sunny and cloudy and WINDY here! The forecast has changed a bit; I'd think the rain has blown over!

I bought a box of stollen bites this morning. I've had a couple and I've put the rest in the freezer to free me from temptation 🐷

Hormones changing can make people more susceptible to allergic reactions, Wreck. Might be that, rather than anything new, for your DD.

I feel well rough. I watched a training video this afternoon so I didn't have to do actual work (I was up to date!). It was actually very useful.

Interesting. She also gets wheezy with it. Antihistamine only helps a really small amount, can I get stronger from the doctor I wonder?

If it's affecting her breathing, they might prescribe an inhaler, Wreck. I'd definitely speak to the GP.

And her friend's mum, see if they've started using anything different eg detergents.

DM and DDad are away for a long weekend in Spain, and I'm soooo jealous! My (are you ready for this) cousin's, husband's mum has a villa out there. DM has been sending videos and photos of them sitting in the sun drinking, while I was trying not to get blown away! The sun came out this afternoon, though, and it was lovely!

Dds got a temperature so PCR booed for tomorrow. 17 miles away which is great in a fuel crisis. I think it's just a cold but need to be sure, also she spent two hours in a car with her friend and family today so I rally hope it's not the dreaded C virus.

Did you see that 1/20 secondary school pupils has it? Loads of bad colds going round though (says she, sniffing!).

Really? Could definitely do without it. I'm not allowed at work if we have a household case and I need to start getting my hours signed off. I suppose it is just like a cold for many so there's no way to tell without a test.

My friend's DD started with a cold and then got Covid straight after. She clicked when she couldn't smell her dinner! My friend (midwife) was all set for 10 days of productive time off when she went down like a sack of spuds with it.

84 morning! Everyone is still asleep.

It's going to be 18° and sunny by the end of next week. Good for our heating bill but I'm ready for autumn and cosy weekends.

I feel like I've been run over! I woke up a few times in the night as my whole body hurts. 😭 My temp was low yesterday, so I'll check it when I get up.

Oh no, did you get your PCR back yet? Dd is still asleep, she asked for a drink in the night and I heard dh telling her to take her dressing gown off no wonder she was hot!

I'm going to make the jus roll cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Also need to buy children's paracetamol when I take dd for her Covid test as we're all out, she will obviously stay in the car.

I've got a Tesco delivery coming later but it might not be here in time for dinner so I've ordered a greggs magic bag dh can't work today now (was doing work for someone who was shielding) so we're losing out on a days work which is a pain but it'll be nice to have him home.

Not yet, but the Zoe app asked me to get it as I don't have any of the symptoms you need to book a test. So I'm not expecting a positive result. I only posted it yesterday, so maybe later today?

I love the Jus Rol stuff. Dairy free too!

Wreck was there anyone at dd's friends house that isn't usually? Maybe they wore / brought something your dd reacted to?

It's been raining and cold all day here and is expected to continue for the next few day.

I went to a gig yesterday which I really enjoyed, although it was so strange being in such a big crowd.
And today we've been to Costco where there were some Christmas decs out which I enjoyed really looking at (pic attached).

Confession - there was a ceramic Christmas tree lamp there. They had 1 left. DH spotted it and put it in the trolley because he knows I've always wanted one. I think he forgot that my dad bought me one last year so I didn't mention it until we were on the way home 😂 so now I have 2

I woke up with a sore arm and a background headache ( had my booster yesterday)
Some coffee , water , paracetamol and no sympathy whatsoever from my family while I played the world's tiniest violin .
DD and I went Up Larndarn so she knew where she was at on her journey . Tottenham Court Road has got some building works going on but we were fine .
Walked along Oxford Street ( raining)
There are star shaped decorations strewn up , possibly lights?
Loads of the shops are gone and boardings up.

John Lewis Christmas Emporium (not even Christmas Shop ) not open yet . But signs up .

QVC has a pre-lit tree as their Todays Special Value .
I looked at some slippers on the QVC site and thought "Oooh they look comfy"
