I'm not sure I'm up for this Aldi product!

EEk, I realised on Saturday morning (at Cubs) that it was only 3 months to Christmas!! The parent doing shore duty groaned and said "please, not yet", but the Cubs in earshot starting talking about our Cubs Christmas party...at which point I groaned and said "please, not yet" (distinct lack of sleep last week, I was barely functioning - but as we were already short another leader, I was there in body if not in mind Grin ).

No time to shop in Slovenia, we were 45 minutes from Ljubliana in the middle of the countryside, I literally had 50 minutes free time (to unpack, shower and change for the formal dinner and try to call DH) on Thursday afternoon, we got back to the hotel at 1.30am and were told on the bus that we needed to be checked out by 7.45am (when checkout officially 12 noon). Got home at 12.30am (Saturday morning), having left home at 3.15 Thursday morning. (And it was a bad week for sleep before that).

I hope the fridge got sorted last week (Crazy?)
I need to go back and catch up on all the news.

WreckTangled · 27/09/2021 17:33

I was on teams today from 8:45 until 16:05. I'm frazzled. Feel like I have a million things to do that I haven't done because I was doing that, in reality it's fine as I have tomorrow.

MeredithMae · 27/09/2021 20:05

Poor you @Wreck I find all the video stuff draining.

Rainy day here too. Half a tank of petrol left. Hoping I can still get to the food banks I volunteer for in the near future as every petrol station for miles keeps running out.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2021 21:03

Our washing got dry in between 12.45 - 6.45. It's raining again now. It was lovely and sunny / breezy in between the rain.

Has anybody seen any dairy free or dark chocolate choc coins? They're my last sweetie gift I need for the kids!

It's absolutely chucking it down right now! Send Noah! 🤣🤣

I'm keeping an eye out for the Tesco ones, so I'll let you know Fluffy.

I ordered the free from advent calendar from Sainsburys, so we'll see what that's like, as well as dairy free hot chocolate bombs.

Morning!

I appear to have a cold brewing as I have a really sore throat, hot eyes and I'm a bit bunged. No cross trainer today because of it. There's been a news story about the hideous cold that's going round...hopefully mine isn't that bad! I'll do an LFT as I don't have Covid symptoms, but I suppose I should check given that we went out on Saturday!

The weather is forecast to be wet all week. We're trying to find gaps to dry washing!

Spark fixed the electrics, not sure what was wrong (I'm ok with most "building" stuff) but he's been well paid and everything is back on without needing extension leads draped artfully up the stairs trying to trip me up Grin

It was raining when we nipped out to Asda at 7, but dry now - sky is a funny colour though, so there's probably another dose on the way - hang on, there's sprinkles, I can hear them. 🌧

A friend has gone on a cruise and I'm tracking his ship. It's only doing 17 knots - you could float faster! DH said I'd be crap on one, as I'd be pestering the Driver asking if he can't go any quicker. 😂

Biddy it's a shame you didn't get time to do some shopping sight-seeing.

Fluffy 🤞 hopefully some paracetomol and plenty of fluids will see you right.

NoWordForFluffy · 28/09/2021 11:20

LFT was negative, as I thought it would be. I'll just keep topped up with fluid and try to not exert myself too much while my throat is still sore.

I'm not sure a cruise is for me with that info, Puss! 🤣

At least you're all fixed. Even without a definite cause!

I never appreciated good drying weather more than after DS was born we don't have a tumble dryer so our house is perpetually like widow twankies in winter now 😵😖

Booked tickets to go see Father Christmas now for the 11th of December, wild that it is such a big thing you have to BOOK now, I booked the hour the tickets were released and they had sold out by the end of the day it's crazy! Hope DS doesn't cry when he meets the big man 😅

Also bought a jojo maternity Christmas jumper off ebay and I'm looking for one with a pudding on it too

Glad your lft was negative fluffy got another baby scan tomorrow they couldn't see everything they needed to at 20weeks because I forgot to drink a pint before hand 😖 still extra chance to see baby is always nice 🥰

WreckTangled · 28/09/2021 13:28

I've discovered the Christmas emojis on teams. Luckily I have a Christmas mad colleague Grin

CrazyBaubles · 28/09/2021 13:43

Glad you're back up and running puss

We've done a few cruises and I really enjoy them. The slower the journey, the more time for relaxing and drinking cocktails 🍹

There are Christmas emojis on teams Wreck? Tell me more Xmas Grin

It's bloody freezing here today, with non-stop heavy rain for good measure. I can't wait to walk the dog in it later 🙄

NoWordForFluffy · 28/09/2021 13:53

Where are they, Wreck?! Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 28/09/2021 13:55

We're putting the heating on later. It's below 18° in the lounge and the bathroom is really cold as well.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 28/09/2021 14:40

Just type Christmas into the search bar on the emoji and a few come up!

ConstantlyCooking · 28/09/2021 14:50

My Good Housekeeping bundle has arrived ! Looking forward to being to indulge tonight.

TheWoollybacksWife · 28/09/2021 14:58

I offered DH the option of the heavy duvet when I change the bedding tomorrow. Thankfully he has said that he's fine so far. No heating needed here yet but I may have to deploy the tumble dryer or the hot airer when I do the uniform at the weekend. Tomorrow looks fine for the bedding wash though.

CrazyBaubles · 28/09/2021 17:19

I found the emojis, thanks Wreck Xmas Smile

Not quite ready for heating or the winter duvet here just yet but I'm sure it won't be long.

Also, it got so dark this afternoon I had to put a light on from around 3pm which means winter is definitely coming!

NoWordForFluffy · 28/09/2021 17:32

At least we know the heating works before it's needed properly!

It was only on for an hour. 17° with no sunshine for a while makes for a miserable lounge experience! 🥶

We never have the winter duvet, mind you. Way too hot!

ConstantlyCooking · 28/09/2021 17:35

That sounded very GoT crazy.
I need to buy some food on the way home to my Good Housekeeping Christmas magazine, so might drop in at Lidl to see if they have florentines yet. I will need to check quality before deciding how many to buy.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/09/2021 18:40

Just saying , there's a thread on here about M&S food ........Christmas
order/ collect Xmas Wink

WreckTangled · 28/09/2021 18:57

I booked Edinburgh! Prices went down a bit so I just did it.

ConstantlyCooking · 28/09/2021 19:03

Excellent Wrecked! I will hop over to the M&S thread fit my journey home Grin. In other news NO FLORENTINES in Lidl!
